Figured out my mic problems minutes after logging out - apparantly I talk too quietly for the default voice activation settings 
By my 50s shall ye know me:

Bit of a Numpty
But what would be the easiest way to set TS up as I have never used it before but I am used to the speaking through using Xbox live and makes the job much easier

i am very interested in joining this, but i do have a question though, i understand that this is running behind CoH so i log into TS first. but if i wanna switch channels would i have to log out of CoH to change it? or is there a way of minimising the game to do it?

You can just use alt+tab to bring the window up while playng city of heroes.
OR ask one of the channel admins I guess, who are Chaplain, Ezyme and Doc Green.

Downloading the client and getting onto the server is very easy once that is done you will have to press the windows Key or have it running(out of taskbar) to alt-tab as Hobo suggested to change channels. There are two options for talking, push to talk(bit of a pain cos u have to keep alt-tabbing) or activite above a certain level which works when the game is full screen.
Been in there a few times and there is normally some fun going on there.

I stopped using push to talk as it was a bit of a bother, but you don't have to alt+tab to push-to-talk, you just need to make it a button that CoH doesn't use.

ah, didnt know that. Probably because I left local test mode on and was swearing because it wasnt working while I was dying 5 times in a row.

have checked it out and very slow in there but recommending to my sg for when we hook up.
Its slow during Office hours. As in most people are at work.
To date we have had over 120 unique connections. However mostly its 20-25 regular users.
Very cool, generous move. Don't know how much I'll get to use it, as outside of SG I only do occasional pick-ups, which this isn't really intended for.
But still, good stuff. Nice one!
Just like to say thankyou Chaplain for setting this up. Had the opportunity to speak to some of my SG members last night and do a mission or two with them - great fun and a relief from TS in FPS games
want to try out team speak but not got a head phones mic set up yet was wondering if any one has any ideas of a good make. 
I've got a Plantronics headset with a boom mic and use it fine on TS for CoH
I use a medusa 5.1 surround sound headphones with mic. (can hear ppl behind me etc) Good prices for which can be found on play.com

Well got me cans opted for the medusa 5.1 as i hve read some good reviews and recomendations so im all set just got to wiat for the rets of the sg to get sorted.
But i was wondering about what sort of levels use team speack and as i wont be with my sg all the time and it would be nice to meet up with new poeple and kick [censored].
Anyone typically can use it. I should really sort the channels out so they give some indication of lvl range. Ill do that tonight.
There is a wide vareity of people using it.
And chap, maybe nice if you also make a special tf room, so that people can join in on that one if they do the same tf

I think it was probably because the regular team rooms were never full, so why have specific TF lounges?
Regular Team rooms cover the demand at the moment. Although just recently we have had quite a few more people online.
Deleted the Taskforce rooms. There are still 8 seperate team rooms as well as 2 / 3 other rooms.

I love teamspeak. We Used it in planetside and it made all the difference to how we played. its great for a close working team or for just chatting away in the early hours while hoarding xp with the other late night hoarders.
I'll give this a shot tonight methinks, I used teamspeak alot with my CS clan (We're down for a while because half the clan is having important exams soon.).
