The ground punch appears to be the fan favourite.
The KO Blow replacement leaves me cold as does Hand Clap.
It's slightly disapointing all you can do with Hurl is tint the color.
The rest look OK however.
The replacements for Martial Arts don't seem to be going over as well, which is odd considering how many Scrappers wanted a punchy set or Street Fighting.

HC had an alternate animation? They looked the same. Generally it's a start down the road to universal alternates for every power set, so I'm not complaining. imo
Think a few of the new punches are shared with the new Martial Arts alternatives, but need a side by side to really tell. If so this may be their "scrapper SS without proliferation."

I like the Earth Assault alternate animations (always hated the mallets).
I actually like the current SS animations, I'm not sure if I'll be using any of the new ones. I'll have to see how they "feel" in-game.
I think the new Martial Arts attacks look pretty cool, though. I've never been able to get into an MA Scrapper before, maybe I will now.
I love the new KO blow animation - maybe I'd actually be able to stand playing a super strength tank now. Not sure exactly on the other ones; I'm not actually that familiar with most of the set's animations as I haven't played it. I'd have to mess around with it to see which set of animations I like better.
Definitely would keep the current foot stomp animation, though. For some reason all of the various stone/SS/whatever powers that involve slamming your foot down just feel powerful to me.

I don't think I'll be changing any of my 3 MA scrappers much animation-wise. The one is supposed to be more brawler than artist, so she might get some punches, but I don't like the new MA stuff all that much.
As for the SS stuff, only one I really like is the Footstomp alternate, although the original is still better. I may fiddle around a bit on my 3 SS tankers and see which fit the characters better.
I've always liked the MA and SS animations, so I'm kinda the wrong audience for these changes.

I had thought it shared KO Blow's replacement animation, just with different timing.
After looking at the video again, it could be that she just played the new KO Blow twice and there is no new HC animation (at least in the build shown in the video).
I always thought a good HC alternate chould be bringing your arms forward and sweeping both back at the same time in a half circle.

There are some very interesting possibilities for use with weapons, which might increase their popularity.
Most mace tanks would doubtless be giddy with some Thor-like alternates. Double handed over head Shatter please.
Better yet, enable auras on weapons (flaming swords, electric mace..), and the double handed over head Shatter. Thank you.

I just noticed their alternative for KO-Blow was a two-fisted punch and not single-handed. I didn't notice until it was mentioned in this thread.
I would really like an alternative to KO-Blow that doesn't look goofy. Just a really heavy, one-handed uppercut (Tiger Uppercut!) would do nicely. I'm tired of my ultimate attack looking like a spoof attack from Popeye. And a two-fisted upswing can't really be called a "Megaton Punch". I think that'd have to be registered as a plural noun instead of the singular.

Interesting. Last Friday, I noticed that MA Statesman alternates that punching Footstomp in his attack chain with the old one. I can't wait to try out all of those SS attacks on my SS characters.

Double handed moves wont happen for the same reason dual wielding or left handed sets didn't get Shields.
KOBs new two handed move may very likely have a shield alternate or may have been done in a way that your shield hand won't clip. Actually, if it works as I think this means that Cap clones will be happy as it will look like a shield swing of sorts.
i really like all the new animations.
to me, the jab, punch, and haymaker animations are the best-- not because they are coolest looking (that honor goes to ground punch), but because the original animations for those powers (particularly punch, ugh) were so horrible. now my SS can actually jab, punch, and haymaker someone without looking stupid.
i think that the coolest KO blow animation can be found in *that other game*, but i can't link to it for another few weeks
