I guess what would determine my answer would be HOW they would get rid of bridging. The whole idea is built upon the fantastic system that is SKing... and if that is negatively impacted. . .

Positron's i13 letter: We are trying to make PvP more accessible to new players, while giving experienced PvP'ers the advantage that comes with formulating tactics around the new systems we're putting in place. PvP from now on will be on our priority list. If something isn't working out, we'll be in there tweaking it and making it work, for the entire future of the product, not just Issue 13.
Yea no one on Triumph can read lol (including me, I'll admit it)

I'd really like to see the difference in experience rewards diminished between -4 and +4 in the later game. Once everyone's about 35 or so, the game starts to get a lot easier for most to take down +3 and higher enemies. I think that the experience rewards ought to reflect that a bit more than they do. I don't mean to reduce overall experience, but to tighten the range. Currently, from -4 to +4 it varies from 20% to 190%.
The people opposed to bridging and farming (farming in particular) are the self-righteous "my way or the highway" people that also complain about how expensive IOs are. Take away the farmers and they'll only cry harder.

Just because I'm against exploiting the MA/AE by farmers/PL'rs does not mean that I have a problem with the prices of IOs.
Go check. I haven't complained about the prices of IO's once. In fact, I have posted that I'm making even more inf because of what farmers/PL'rs are doing to the economy.
I'm not abusing the system to do it either.
Breaking the rules is just that.
It has nothing to do with the price of IO's.
I'll be dancing a jig when the farmers are gone from the AE. It would be good to be able to easily find mission teams in the AE that aren't running farms - better yet - aren't broadcasting in lower-level zones for AE Exploit teams.
You are wrong. I think that people should play the game as the feel fit. I'm against cheating and exploiting in the game.

You, however, seem to have this misguided optimism that they'll eventually stamp out MA farming. The only way they'll be able to do that is to make the rewards from MA missions so low that most anyone would rather go do normal content - and that kind of goes against their stated goals and designs for the MA, doesn't it?

I come to the new forums and this is still going in Triumph!? Are the new forums all about srs bisness?
I have always made a distinction between bridging and side kicking,
Sidekick/Lackey: A person of low level whose mentor places him within the level range of the team, thus adding to the teams overall effectiveness
Bridge: Someone whose mentor is chosen to maximize xp example a 46 side kicking someone to 45 on a level 50 which creates a situation where the overall strength of the team is lower.
This leads me the difference between active power leveling, where a person will participate to the best of their ability, compared to door sitting.
Either way I dont really see the point in forcing someone to do one or the other because no one is forcing me to team with them or participate.
I think they should fix the MA abuse before "fixing" bridging. I see nothing wrong with bridging personally. At least it forces the Noobs to *gasp* leave Atlas Park and actually go to another zone.
My suggestion for fixing the MA? Do not award XP, Influence or Prestige. Have it only reward tickets. Remove the AE building from Atlas Park and Galaxy City (idk I haven't been to Galaxy in a long time, is there an AE building there? LOL).
That just my opinion. I could be wrong.

In light of Posi announcement today, of the Super Sidekicking system details.
The 'method' for eliminating bridging is basically setting folks to the level of the mission automatically (well one below for lowbies), but eliminating the need for direct mentors. Its very close to the AE system.
Increased XP earnings (again) for the level 1 to 20 run, and the new difficulty sliders. All over it seems like a good overall package to me.
<edit>
add the ability to earm when exemped, and I think regular teaming just got a whole lot easier as you happily pull folks from both above and below your range

Overall it sounds good to me. Most annoying thing to me about the SK system was finding mentors for TFs if you had a few lower levels who wanted to join.
What is even better is this;
Which reminds me, we’ve added new features to the in-game Email system to either shut it off entirely, or only receive emails from people on your friends list and/or people in your Supergroup. Another step in the battle against annoying in-game spam. |

Indeed they have stopped bridging, but gave us a nice subsitute which I think will be well done. So if a person wanted to pl it looks like he still can (note I am just assuming). But big bonuses for TF helping with auto sk!
I'm curious to see how this new system will work, but certainly cautiously optimistic. On paper, it sounds good. Now I'll just have to see how it works in practice.
It'll be really nice for MS Raids not having to worry about finding teams of 35+ who can get into the zone.

Exactly - you'll only need a team leader or mission holder at lvl 36+, and everyone else falls into suit.
