A few days ago, my lvl 50 Corruptor logged in and immediately received a debt badge, and the xp bar showed some remaining Patrol XP. This character has been lvl 50 since before Patrol XP even existed, and I use it often, so it's not left over from anything either.
It doesn't seem indended to me, and I can't seem to purposely reproduce it.

It could be something like that. I only have 3 50s so it's not like this happened on tons of characters. Not like it's hurting anything 
Patrol XP is awarded at any level, even at 50. When you're 50, you log in, your patrol XP is given to you, pays off any debt you have, then the remainder disappears.
This is how I've been working on my debt badges, and I can confirm that it does work.

That makes sense. Since I don't logout with debt (heck I rarely have any) I would never see that.

My trick for quick debt accumulation is to go to a couple of spawn points that are directly in front of the hospital in PI, just behind the parking deck. There's usually a bunch of lvl 50 Malta, Rikti or Carny that can take anyone down pretty quickly if you turn all your defenses off.
Vills takes a little longer. I head to the Fab where there's lots of lvl 49-50 bosses. This isn't very close to the hosp though so it's not as fast to get to debt cap.
I haven't tried it, but a friend suggested the wall in cim. It's probably quicker to get from the hosp to the wall in cim than from the hosp to the Fab in G-ville.
Don't bother using the hospital... just buy some awakens before you go find something that can kill you. Much faster that way.

[/ QUOTE ] In the situation I described above, the remaining Patrol XP did not disappear after paying off my debt. We both agree it's not intended, but I wanted to point out there is some kind of bug or glitch that can still cause it to happen.
The problem is, I have yet to figure out the exact circumstances that caused it to happen. lol
Is this a recent toon to hit lvl 50? I remember my last toon had full patrol xp when it was lvl 49 as I let it sit before finally doing the push to 50. When I dinged 50, there was still some patrol xp bars left that didn't disappear.

Simple question, just can't find a clear answer anywhere.
I'm an OCD badge hunter, so I want to get the Exalted badge. Do I need to rack up a ton of debt now, or will I be able to gain/pay off debt at level 50?
For the record, I am 44 and got Undying the other day. If I need to do this before 50, now would be the time to do so.
