/Traps and what else?
for pve I would say elec. You get a snipe earlier in the set to pull with - some good aoe dmg and hold for handling a boss + mod.
+ the end drain of elec attacks and your debuffs, immobs and slows.
Rad would be good too for eating def.
I love my trappers. I have a ice/trap which is OK. A rad/trap that rocks out and is my favorite. And a fire/traps which has lots & lots of raw damage.
I disagree about electric. I think that would be kind of low damage and the end drain would be largely pointless and not have much synergy with /traps.
I'd say, here are a few, with the most desirable listed first:
sonic/traps - very big damage. You can stack -res with the sonic attacks and acid mortar
fire/traps - nice aoe damage.
ice/traps - a little control and all around nice damage
dark/traps - dark would probably go well with a defense loving trapster (and doesn't everyone with a /traps build for defense?)
rad/traps - if you like procs

Why? Web Nade + Ignite, and is easily thematic.
Energy?
No. Seriously. Don't do that. Traps are very up close and in your face, so any blast set that support that will be good. Rad is nice. I think the rains from fire or ice would be very nice with poison trap. Etc.
My all-time favourite is rad/traps though. And it's a very good thematic fit.

Loved my sonic/traps, got him shelved till traps is rebalanced. Great synergy, lots of -res.

Actually, my Energy/Traps is pretty fun. Mezz protection + lots of knockback makes it fairly survivable, the debuff from Acid Mortar doesn't vanish when you knock a target around, and they fit thematically.

I had a Fire/Traps that did really well, all those AoEs were grand.
Another vote for Sonic/Traps for having some sweet synergy (-res and -dam)
I have a lvl 30 Bots/Traps MM and I really like her. Yes even with the the nerf to poison trap, the combo works well and is fun.
So I want a traps corruptor. I have an Ice/Traps at lvl 18 but he seems a little lacking and I can't seem to make the combo work as well as I'd like. I'm looking at the guides and theres not much /Traps info for corruptors. Any suggestions on what damage primary is most synergistic with Traps?
