You can now if you play Battleaxe and don't look too closely at your weapon. BA plays very similarly to BS. Parry is the main difference, and I don't think the devs are about to let us have Parry, seeing as Brutes are already more durable than scrappers.

Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

I don't care much for a Broad Sword Brute. I mean, they'd go nice with the look of Shields, sure, but personally, I think they'd be pretty much garbage on a Brute due to our muuuuuch lower damage modifier and reliance on Fury generation. But that's my personal opinion, and I wouldn't be sure about this until I had the chance to actually test it.
I'd still want Claws first.
If they give us spines I am immediatly rolling a spines/WP
I'd still prefer a Martial Arts Brute >_>
