Leadership pool

Could someone please sell me on the Leadership pool? I'm attempting to lvl a DB/WP and DB/SR at the same time and I'm trying to figure out how I want to make them different from each other in regards to their misc. pools.

I see a lot of DB/WP taking Leadership and I just wanted to know if it's really worth it over say, Focused Acc or...whatever...

Thanks!

Maneuvers is helpful to a WP scrapper. Maneuvers and assault played a huge part in the all scrapper ITF this past sunday. I will not start another tactics vs FA debate so I won't speak on that.

I used it to soft cap my katana/sr and with the recent nerf to Focused acc it seems over priced to me for the endurance usage

I also have Maneuvers assault on my fire/sd that we used in the scrapper all itf

Pinnacle
Langar Thurs-Katana/SR 50; Hejtmane-DM/DA 50
Rogue Spear-Spines/DA 50; Hypnosis-Ill/Rad 50

Im really considering dropping combat jump and super jump, so i can take the leadership pool, since im regen i gues the end wont be hard on me and the extra 10%damages from assault looks very inviting.

But then i have to use super speed for travel power, but i might just live with that (i need my hasten so got to keep the pool)

I use assault constantly on Catwhoorg. 10.5% damnage buff is very nice.

He has tactics for when the +tohit would be useful and vengance ontop of it.

Leadership is always a good choice. It stacks with other leaderships.

Think 10% damage (rounding down) is bad? 7%To hit buff??
What if you and your buddy were runing a duo and you both had them? 20% damage and 14% to hit.

I wish more people would consider leadership. Its not the level of a widows/soldiers but its a nice boon. The best part is if your a defender assault grants a whopping 18% damage!!(rounding down)

Imagine your scrapper and a defender, thats 29% (10.5% + 18.8). Roughly the equivalent of popping a red happy pill constantly.

Now scrappers may not get that high a bonus but the def from manuevers start to add up once you get 2-4 toons with it. Plus Manuevers requires 0 choices. Weave requires 2 choices to get granted it is 1.5% more def (un-enhanced). Great for tight builds who can't "or don't want to" fit 3 powers into their fold.

Plus maneuvers gives you an extra slot for the LOTG.

They are cost effective and light on slots, so you can put more into other abilities. If you got the choice to spare then I always think leaderships are good. Once they start stacking its all gravy.

Just my thoughts mind you. Not everyone cares about helping their team mates,

Leadership isn't bad. It's effects is a bit diminished on scrappers, but all the powers have a place still.

Assault: It gives more damage. Can you really argue with that as a scrapper? If you can fit it in, why not? It makes a good base to build of IO damage bonuses.

Maneuvers: Easier to fit into than Weave, and only missing a little bit more defense. This is very good for getting that last little bit of defense you need to soft cap, where every percentage counts. Also another good place for LOTG: Recharge. I liked stacking this with Grant Cover on my /shield to give people around me a 15% defense bonus, which I consider high enough to be worth it.

Tactics: I like this for the wrong reasons. I'm a big fan of the Build-Up IO, but not a huge fan of Focused Accuracy's huge as hell endurance cost. Que tactics swinging in like some great equalizer to satisfy my needs. I'm also a big fan of six slotting this for the defense bonus set Guassian gives. The To-Hit for me and all my friends is a nice bonus.

Then there's Vengeance. I've never taken this on a scrapper for some reason, but it's a frequent player on my Controller/Defender/Tankers. You'r on a team, and you bound around a corner to suddenly run into 2 spawns with an ambush angrily on it's way to cave your skull in. People's HP starts dropping quickly, and some one inevitably goes down. Then you pop Vengeance. The clouds part and the sky turns blue, birds are chirping, Bob Marley comes back to life and starts singing... Vengeance quickly turns the tide of a situation about to go downhill, and does it spectacularly. I may not be able to rez the guy that died, but I'll make damn sure nobody else is going down with him.

I'm currently torn on my Claws/WP scrapper. I currently have him specced into:

Flight
-Hover
-Fly

Leadership
-Assault
-Maneuvers
-Tacticts

Fitness
-Swift
-Health
-Stamina

I am torn for my final build...I would love to have 5 power pools because I want to get hasten, tough, and weave, so I don't know what I want to drop! Dang this game and its choices!

Thanks for the great info guys.
Any slotting suggestions? I don't have much inf so I'm only using IO's at this time. The toon I'm looking at for this is a lvl 42 DB/WP.

I want to start looking at sets but they're just so frakin' expensive! )

How deep into the pool are you going to go? For assault, all you need is 1-2 end reductions. Manuvers, 2-6 of the desired def sets. Tactics, is a total toss up of 2-6. Veng is a tricky one. I'm not sure how I'd slot veng on a scrapper. If I ever had the power options to go that far, I think I would just leave it as one with a lotg recharge speed in it. On my defender its 4 slotted with 3 def and one tohit buff.

I mostly play on teams so I think I'm most interested in Acc and Dam...although, everyone likes the gift of Def...I might try to go all 3 but I'll definitley skip Veng...

When you say "desired sets" are you referreing to anything in particular?

No. People slot for different things and different IO sets give different bonuses. Including def sets.

I usually get assault, sometimes alone, if I have one power slot left over at 49 on scrappers. Damage is never bad. I try and get tactics some. For leveling up, I look at it as only needing one acc in attacks plus it instead of two. Numbers wise this may be far from equivalent, but it seems to ge tthe job done. I usually don't ge sets goin till 50, only gettin the procs and bonus IOs early on as they are static for the most part.

I also strongly agree with the previous post about everyone getting leadership pools. Ive been on a few teams, not many, where we had 4 stacked leadership powers, and you don't need veng with all that goin on.

During the first few months of the 300 sg on infinity, you could really see how much it shined, along with grant cover. You really do'nt need a tank or healer in most situations when the whole team is soft capped with huge damage and acc bonuses to ensure nothing stands for long.

Thanks again for the info...I'll see if I can put it to use once I figure out a good set to aim for.
