We all know the new pvp is garbage & not fun at all.
Wait until rogue comes out, you know what it will be?

Sirens Call: Both sides stalkers maybe some dev blasters. Pvp will be totally invisible.

RV: Both hero & villain will be full of thermal corruptors & stalkers. LOL

Think people hate pvp now or complain about pvp now, just wait. lol People are going to cry so hard the devs will end up nerfing thermals & stalkers.

Both sides will hibernate/phasenoob & run.

Do you really think the current pvp is fun? I sure don't. The old pvp was 100 times better.

Ive been PVE since the devs ruined pvp in this game. The most important thing about pvp is each AT's uniqueness & what it brings to a team, the developers squashed that!

I hope you get some new customers with double xp weekend. LOL!

You trolls crack me up. Why exactly are you bothering to point any of this out? Do you think they will change pvp back? Why waste your time posting something that is meaningless? You ether like the current pvp system and play it, or don’t like it and should go back to lolpve.

On the plus side, VEATs might become useful again, provided they've got someone with +perception on their team.

As ridiculous as it seems to be, yea I still hope they will.

The new pvp system is such an absurdity, I dont believe they can stick with it ad vitam.

Seeing the old guard of PvPers all leaving the game, the new ppl supposed to be the ones the changes were made for saying they wont play this (I'm in this category)... And the large majority of the people playing it now being obviously the ones who dont understand how it works... (lol@ppl in the zone still firing their melee attacks when AS/Kick/Flurry deal twice more dmg ??)

However to answer to the OP, I dont think Going Rogue will change anything to PvP. It's broken now, it'll be broken then.

But yes I still hope they change all of this. I think they made a huge mistake, but they're clever people and they must understand they cant leave it as it is now. Otherwise I wouldnt post about it. It's just a way to attract their attention.

really need to find out what you get for stayin a villain and what you get for switchin.

secondly....i think when Going Rogue releases you will not pick Create a Hero or Create a villain anymore in the character creation menu. You pick your AT and powers, and the content you do decides what you will be, hero or villain or farmer.

I think this was decided when they got that "tree"/choices tech.

Or they might just start that from Lvl 50. At which point doing the content decides what you are hero or villain or farmer. since there was speculation that you will not be able to increase your character further, without doing the actual content (just like patron pools).

They can double-stack Tactics. I haven't taken mine into PVP yet, but how effective is that, perception-wise?

Double stacking is all well and good, but the real beauty of the VEATs is that the per cap is higher for them. Meaning they don't just see at 10 feet, its something like 50-100 feet. If you know anything about organized arena pvp, you'll know this is freakin huge. Add to that the fact a mm can put a pet on a stalker perma if he spots them and you have an excellent issue incoming. I'm in complete disagreement with the OP. The new issue will be the saving grace of all stalker issue he is actually claiming to be concerned about. (You realize we're just feeding the troll right? He just wants all of our food…)

Crossover does present some PvP problems, most notably homogenization. Stalker/Blaster vs. Stalker/Blaster. Hilarity. Right now each side is forced to bring a selection from two different sets of Archetypes. Post Going Rogue, many Archetypes currently seen regularly in PvP will become a rarity. Heck, Villains overall will become more of a rarity as people take their Brutes and Masterminds and leave for bluer pastures.

I do have fun in the current PvP. But yes, in the final analysis I had more fun in I12 PvP. My Bane especially who last time I checked is royally screwed in the PvP 2.0 environment. He wasn't exactly uber in I12, but was surprisingly playable and got some good kills in. Not these days.

And Super Reflexes. Don't get me started on Super Reflexes right now. It was actually better in I12 PvP. And that's sad. Very sad.

I'm not giving up on PvP though. What else are my 50s gonna do? Farm Behemoths? I'm adapting as best I can.

And LOL squishy bonus resist.

theres the myth that has got to stop.

Yes, mids shows kick, as, etc, as crazy dmg, but in reality, they are really not.

Real in game play Example:

Reading all the Numbers from right clicking the powers, Kick on my DA/SS Tanker is the second weakest power, only ranking in better than Jab. I have Jab, Haymaker, KoB, Kick, Fossilize, Hurl, and Stone Prison as attacks. That's 6th out of 7.

Boxing, on the otherhand, shows up weaker than kick, and so does Air Sup. and Jump Kick (Through Mids w/ no buffs on) So in-game, those should translate into the same rankings as Mids shows.

Now, I have Flurry on my Illusion Controller...
Numbers on Mids say its the highest dmg of anyof the pool attacks, and some in-game experiences seem to point to that. However, Flurry is behind on my Illusion Controller after I'm pretty sure all my attacks, (Blind, Spectral Wounds, Hurl Boulder, Seismic Smash, and Flurry) if not than it's only better than Blind.

So there, Flurry is probably the only pool attack worth going out of your way to get, and 1 of the Fighting if your getting tough and/or weave...

So Please, Please stop it, and stick to your Normal AT attacks...

LOL @ people who think AS, Kick and Flurry are viable pvp attacks. Shows they really don't pvp yet still feel the need to talk about it.

i was just about to make this exact same post lol. all these ppl QQ about AS/kick/flurry and to me i honestly think they dont even pvp. i think they read what others write and believe it. i pvp in the arena/zones everyday and i NEVER see kick or flurry used.

Kick does more damage then haymaker, I've tested it.

I also actually went and tested flurry on test and it does about the same damage as kob. I don't have the numbers but I can go check it out later and post them.

ok, well i am in the arena right now testn this with 2 lvl 50 unenhanced brutes. so far i have this:

Haymaker - 90.23
Kick - 87.00

Haymaker does more damage

Knockoutblow - 151
Flurry - 135

KOB wins.

You might want to think again. these are actual numbers. no enhancements, no fury, no inspirations no nothing.

Kick - 87.00 cast time 1.83 sec

Knockoutblow - 151 cast time2.23
Flurry - 135 cast time 3.07

If this doesnt clear up this myth than nothing will. Who even started this crap rumor anyway?

At least there will be people on both sides. On my server there are more villains than heroes that PvP so we need some of those players to switch to the blue side to increase zone PvP numbers.

Ok unslotted kick does a little less then 3 points of damage then haymaker so I was indeed wrong. But still, its only 3 points. And kick recharges in less then half the time haymaker does.

As far as flurry and KoB go try reading the post again:

Since KoB only does about 16 more points of damage compared to flurry I'd say that qualifies as close. Now add the fact that on any decent build flurry will recharge before the animation is even over.

If you think flurry sucks grab a melee toon and look for LoonyToons on freedom. Its pretty amazing what he does with flurry and barb swipe... amazing and at the same time really sad seeing what this game was reduced to..

Can you even notice a difference of .33 seconds? I dont think I can blink that fast. Now factor in that haymaker takes more then twice as long to recharge then kick.
