Bots/Traps... Detonator or Teleport Foe?
TP Foe is only usable on Lts and below. It's handy for PvP, but in PvE not nearly as usefull (unless your bot sticks a mob into a wall or something).
I reluctantly picked up Detonator on mine at 44. I LOVE it! The explosion is nearly instant, and the damage is really quite good. It's a keeper in my build.
Detonator is one of the most Villainous powers in the game, especially when used with human henchmen. Get it!

The great thing about Bots with detonator is, that when they start beeping and on fire, you'll know that they'll soon be gone anyways.

TP Foe is pretty useful. I use it to get rid of especially irritating minions generally, by dropping them on a Trip Mine. It's also useful for detonating a Mine or Poison Trap that somehow doesn't get stepped on; just grab a random minion and use him for a detonator. It's also very villainous feeling for me : * snag * < BOOM ! >

I finished Lord Recluse with the help of Detonator once. Took out all his little Bane Spiders. True story. Would never consider taking it out of my build.

Neither? I can think of better powers for you to take. What about repair? have that? It's a great heal. Or hasten, or if u dont have maneuvers, or seeker drones, or caltrops. Or photon grenade slotted with stupefy's chance to knockback IO. Or ....
But if i had to pick between only those two, i would pick detonator, simply because you wont find as many uses for teleport foe, because it doesnt work on very many bosses, and u still have some chance of aggroing people around the person u try to tp, like u attacked. It's better in p vs p, but for the normal game, i would go with detonator.
Repair is basically useless if he has Aid Other. I'd totally take Detonator over Repair.
Didn't feel like starting a new topic and this is fairly recent, so I'll use this thread to ask a question.
I recently did some testing with detonator in Cap Au Diable against some Luddites. It seemed to do the same damage with or without the damage enhancements. Is this working as intended? If it is not, can someone second build their toon or something and help me verify this?
I'm going to drop it down to just two recharge IOs and put it at 49 til someone can verify it.

that is one opinion on Detonator I however dissagree Detonator takes forever to recharge and since bots are ranged they often dont get to the desired location before going BOOM. as for TP foe slote it with Jaunt set+ 3 Acc and you can use it as LONG range pulling for AV it wont TP them but it does agro them OFTEN with out pulling adds. Good example is LGTF pulling Hero 1 with out adds, I also use this trick to TP the microbs out of Mini Hami in LGTF. you CAN tp over LT's if you slot right.

yes as far as RP goes Detonator rocks its increadibly Dastardly tool to keep in your bag of tricks. but not all that grand in practice.

NEITHER??? ok any MM worth thier salt already has repair Hasten on a MM is useless as slotted with just IO's you can spam 4 pois and up to 17 trip mines before they start to fall off ( keep this in mind for pulling av's verry nasty trick) Caltrops is another givein that they have as most MM dont want primary attack powers since this ONLY DRAWS AGRO TO A SQUISHY MM and leads to lots of deaths. As for photon ^^ just kinda covered my opinion on that. Seeker drones is a great power on any other Primary for MM but with bots its a waisted power. Why you may ask. Easy Protector bots get seeker drones for free why use up a power slot for something you already get FREE. already covered MHO on detonator.

as for your testing Simon test on greens NEVER test on greys greys you will cap damage every time and it negates the test as there is a max ammount of damage you can produce in most games i havent tested the code for CoV personaly yet but in Prior MMo i have played killing a Grey just shows you what your max capable damage is so sloted or un sloted you will achive the same numbers. I sugest testing on blues/greens in grand and running Hero stats.

I went ahead and tested it on some white minions without resistance to fire and lethal. I got the same results as before: putting the damage enhancements into detonator had no affect on the damage of the time bomb the bruiser put on the ground after I activated detonator on him.
I also noticed that it had a 95% chance to hit even though I had no accuracy in detonator I believe that it is pulling the enhancements from the pet instead of the detonator power.
It would help if someone else can test this before I bug it. Maybe also test it with knock back procs in detonator while you detonate your pet a big group of white cons for good measure to make sure it passes procs along too.

Detonator is a Grant Power type of deal, so it should pick up enhancements from the pet you cast it on, rather then what you slot in it.
So if that's true, does this power accept damage, accuracy, and knockback enhancements?
detonator is a great io set mule....only reason i have it.
Should I get Detonator or Teleport Foe on my Bots/Traps MM? I don't see myself using detonator too often based on its description... But I've never actually used it, so I'm not sure how useful it really is. I can see myself 'porting foes on to trip mines/caltrops and stuff, though...
Point me in the right direction, please?
EDIT: Or, you know... I could always use another Leadership power.
