One must choose wisely. Here's your change.

I agree, Mr Ranger.
No extra user-interface would be required - just remove the power automatically upon a respec and add the option to choose from the badge tab back in. Same with the Nemesis Staff/Blackwand, Noncombat pet and any other choosable vet rewards.

I wouldn't want it to automatically revoke the choices at each respec. I respec more often than the average player, and don't want to be forced into that many vet claims needlessly.

If implemented (and I don't agree or disagree with the suggestion, I choose which one I know I want, so I don't need to respec), they should simply put a "reset claims" button in the veteran rewards badge tab.

Standard Code Rant applies.

You can pick Sands of Mu when you get your 54 month vet reward, just like the rest of us.

at first i thought this was going to be another AT respec thread, but it isn't so i am happy. this is why they tell you to becareful in picking your vet rewards as you will be stuck with them.

This sounds like a pretty good idea actually. I'm all for this.

Here's another:

I can understand why you have to choose one of each set of attacks.

But why can't we just get every summon, the way we get every prestige sprint?

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

This. So very much this. Though I'd make it so each one is selectable ONCE. That way I could pick the prestige sprint I want without getting all of them, or pick 3 of the 4..... That sort of thing.

Y'know, as someone who only recently got Sands of Mu...Is there any justifiable reason for taking the axe, or am I just being overly indecisive?

As I see it, there are two reasons for choosing the Axe over Sands: <ul type="square">[*]Concept[*]For killing ghosts if the rest of your damage is solely or mostly Negative[/list]And at 54 months, you can have the best of both worlds if you so desire.

Tha Axe is good for killing ghosts, many of whom pack some To Hit debuffs in their attacks. This makes an attack with unenhancable accuracy much less appealing to use.

So the Ghost Slaying Axe isn't really all that brilliant even then, unless you've got a good reliable source of +To Hit or Def debuff handy.

Isn't the Axe good for Zombie raids too?

There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"

Ghosts, zombies, Shivans...

It's not just for people who mainly have negative energy attacks, either.

Smashing/Lethal resistance in various ghosts is pretty high, but the axe slices right through that.

[/ QUOTE ]If you normally do all smashing/negative, the the GSA is a good way to get a different damage type.

[/ QUOTE ]You mean Aim, Build Up, Rage, Tactics, Focused Accuracy, Targeting Drone, Fort, Veng, Rad Emission, Earth control (which is all smashing, and another set that likes the axe instead of sands), AR (mostly lethal, another damage type that has issues with ghosts), Follow-up, Soul Drain, etc.?
