Going Rogue

I was reading into this expansion with the limited amount of information that this paid expansion allows you to explore Praetorian Earth, where Tyrant (the evil version of Statesman) is from. It's going to allow for side switching, and introduces an alignment system etc. I'm wondering though. Will side switching only be in this "Praetorian Earth", or will be able to play our villains/heroes after they switch in the current form of paragon city or rouge isles? Only a red-name could confirm that of course, unless i'm missing something. Either way, it should be fun.

There are still lots of questions about this expansion but the Devs have claimed we are going to be hearing more about it in the coming weeks.

P.S. It's "Going Rogue" not "Going Rouge".
I'll be nice and just mention it instead of making some kind of silly makeup/red joke.

Well ironically enough if the Going Rogue expansion will allow characters from one side to completely crossover to the other side and let them start earning side-unique badges on that side without losing any badges they already have then I'll be able to say that my main hero badger is "Going Rouge".

the one thing i am wondering about is, how much more of sand box will we be getting with rogue? with morality, and side switching how far away is it to have a "wife and kids" thing going.(sorry just started playing fable2)

I'm surprised someone hasn't applied rouge to Tyrant yet to make a proposed box cover.

Puce, gotta go puce.

[Edited for an actual answer]

Since you read the information already, you know as much about it as anyone (who doesn't work at NCSoft) knows.

Cerulean blue here!

But all we officially know about is what's on the Main announcement page, what Positron and what Back Alley Brawler have said. Anything else is really just speculation and hopes from the player base. There really isn't much about it at all yet but I'm sure it'll be coming Soon™.

Ten points for spelling it right! (Twenty if you can convince me that you didn't look it up or use a spell checker.)

I ask people how to spell fuchsia sometimes just because I know that no one really knows. I have yet to run across anyone who can spell it correctly on the fly. Another fun one to sting people with (well, people who aren't from there) is to ask them how to spell the name of the country "Philippines."

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

Spelling bee champ here. I can spell all kinds of silly arcane exotic words - not really a useful skill, but fun at parties (not).

Oh, and I'm going a tasteful muted heathery tweed myself.

In this case i would say arcane is more accurate than archaic.

*shrug* I could actually see either working fine with the right explanation. To me, arcane implies that they're secret, hidden words that nobody knows. Archaic sounds better to me, seeing as it implies words that have fallen out of general use. Then again, neither of us know Ad's intent for sure so it's rather pointless to discuss it further.

From what I've read (which is no more than anyone else), what's being referred to as "side-switching" is really more shades of gray. I think the mechanic will provide decision points as to how light or dark we can get. I don't think we'll get " I wanna be bad today/I wanna be good tomorrow" mechanics, that would suck. For those of us that had the "Stop the radio transmission" mission, I'd like to see more decision points like that in Going Rogue.

Having said that, it'd be cool to watch a "redeemed" MM stopping a bank robbery, only to pocket some of the loot at the end of the mission. Or a scrapper with a gambling problem, forced to commit crimes (or allow crimes to happen unimpeded) to pay off those debts.
