Thoughts on I-15
I guess I'm kind of indifferent to the Khan TF.
We ran it yesterday afternoon. The last mission was great, leading up to the final battle. I loved the look of that last room... But then the battle began. I thought the concept was great, where these powerful AVs have been captured to aid Reichsman, but the battle was pretty tedious.
Thank you, Champion.
I'll let you know next week. I'm taking my week long new issue sabbatical. :P

Normally, I'd think that was a good idea. New Issue Lag is often frustrating as all heck, but last night I didn't really notice alot of lag. I saw a crapload of bugs, but not lag.
First Impressions, I think they have too many people working on the Rogue Expansion, and not enough working on this Issue. It was released too soon. I've seen bugs with the TF Temp Powers, Newly arisen Graphics problems, Blank Prompt boxes popping up, unpredictable crashes to Login Screens, Animation hangups, and Chat Errors.
Also, it seems like a "gimme" issue. Not a whole lot to be excited about. A new TF is a good gift, especially for the Champion Server which seems to be on a TF kick lately. But, that's really all. And I think it would be a better TF if it were a lower level. Something in the mid to upper 30s - lower 40s would have been neat. We have alot of 45-50 TFs already (ITF, LGTF, STF, and the Rikti Mothership raids should be thrown in there too).
Also, (I've said this before, and I'm sure I'll say it again) they keep releasing equal content for Villains and Heroes. They need to add Exclusive Villain Content at some point. On all servers, Villain play is down. Because there isn't enough to keep people interested. New Hero stuff is fun, but there is so much of it.

Activity = Content Development time.
Sadly the less then popular way that most villain ATs work caused a downward spiral for the red side. I'm hopeful that once people can take their beloved hero AT's rogue we might see an upswing in content.
Until then we just have to deal . . .. . like we always have.
One last thing
I think this issue was not rushed/under worked for Going Rogue . . .
I think it was rushed/under worked for I-16 and Power customization.
That being said i stand by our consensus from last night . . .
The Khan TF was worth it just to see an AV ignore everyone in TF to run across the map to kill aven while he was AFK.
Oh and the fact that someone, somehow, thought Task Force Nothung was a good name

They probably overestimated the typical player's familiarity with Wagner's opera The Valkyrie, as Nothung is the name of the magical sword.
My thoughts on the whole issue boil down to "meh."

*sigh*
I've had that happen to me. But, I didn't have the excuse of being AFK for why I died.
...
Wait, you were there when it happened to me.
In fact I remember we had to pause between mobs so you could compose yourself from laughing.
Good to know your pleasure from other's inexplicable aggro isn't just confined to me.

The fact that out of all the names, the Pingu TF got it is the funniest part.

Ran the Villain SF yesterday afternoon with a pug. The presentation and story was much better than the Hero version, but the difficulty goes up as well, especially the final fight. Didn't complete it because two teammates assumed (incorrectly) that the SF would be as short in time as the Hero one, and they bailed after the first teamwipe. With all the hordes of ambushes coming to us at the door, we couldn't even get back to the final room to even think about fighting Reichsman.
Ran the Khan with some Pingus. It went much better, though I died a few times more than I'd have liked to. Most of us hadn't done it so we went slow through some parts. They really need to put in a cutscene or something like the villain one (which was awesome). The end fight was easy. Maybe they need to unleash more than one AV at a time, or add in some ambushes or something.
My only Dom is Plant/Thorn, and therefore wasn't altered as much by the dom changes as other powersets were. I played him a bit and noticed the dam increase, but that's about it.
I'm taking this Issue with a grain of salt, knowing how much stuff is coming down the pike. If we didn't know that a box expansion were coming, we'd have a lot more to complain about with this Issue. Course they'd probably have put more in this one if there weren't so many things being done for later.

One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
Ran in the new TF 3 times.
1st Time 1:30 Tough last room but completed
2nd Time 2:30 No debuffer on the team, mindnumbingly grindy on Reichsman. Pulled Amys, LB and Vanguard Mechs, and Nukes to complete.
3rd Time 0:54 2 Rads (1 me) Healer Tank and Damage. Cake.
Noticed the WW bug where Info popups don't pop up in the Market window or your Recipe window. I have to close and reopen to fix. :/
I'll have to get to work on those arena badges. :3

From what I've been reading, the Strike Force is much more difficult than the Task Force. It also requires at least one Mastermind and one Stalker to complete.
@Celestial Lord and @Celestial Lord Too
Loathe both the SF and TF, I got it on both my badgers, don't expect me to run either ever again in the near future. And that's with a relatively good run on the TF. The merits aren't high enough, and it just isn't fun enough compared to STF/RSF/ITF.

To be fair I did point out during the TF ,when it was noticed, that Nothung was Siegfried's sword . . . . . but really?

JW: You have AB Friar!
DF: Woo! Muahahaha
DF runs off and lasts for 10 seconds but clears massive numbers of mobs.
JW: Just cause you have AB doesn't mean you have to be stupid!
DF: But I had fun!
(As a note, Pingu teams on Invincible are a riot, especially on Vent)

Nope, ran it with 3 corrs, 3 brutes, a widow, and a spider, and had little problems. Think we clocked in at 1:47. Only wiped once.
Liked it. Last battle got crazy. If I had one complaint, it would be that it kind of forced you to get real linear a few times. All in all, though, good stuff.
Haven't really experienced the rest except getting badge-ganked.

Just because people are familiar with it shouldn't discount the fact that I am a male with an incredibly juvenile sense of humor.
As for the rest, the TF was cool. Who I ran it with made it cooler, but I can see it being enjoyable to run from time to time. Not a huge time investment (heroside), though not a large merit reward either, so it will get limited play after the newness wears off. Nice to have another TF my 50s can run though. I'll get the badges over the next week. It's a nice pastime of an issue, in my opinion.

Don't take it personally if you think I was mean to you. I'm an ******* to everyone.
It's a penguin thing. Pingu FTW.
My Plant/Psi now has to use more than two powers from Psi Assault so that's taking some getting used to.
Villain SF:
Loads of fun. Nice cutscenes, very cool end fight as well with the various temp powers and nuking the Patrons for their essences. Was mostly a pug but we had a nice mix of powersets and though we didn't speed it, it didn't seem long.
Heroside:
Atlas Park mission done in a few minutes. Train Mission done in a minute. Train Mission done in a minute. Cave mission done in a minute. Delivery to Tina. Final mission that takes...longer than a minute.
Granted we finished well below our challenge setting of 2:00, but our decent group (1 Scrap, 1 Tank, 1 Kin, my Forcefielder, a Blaster etc...) took foreeeeeeeeeeeever to whittle down Reichsmann's hit points. Then we'd beat up an AV for 15 seconds and take foreeeeeeeeeeeeever to whittle down Reichsmann's hit points.
Got the badge on my badge toons, going to run it with some friends and forget about it.
Questions about the game, either side? /t @Neuronia or @Neuronium, with your queries!

So wish I could run it, but not going to be able to until some time after next monday.
might want to do it on my badger and see how often it get ran then.

Nothing saids its your spot like an ourob. Portal dropped on the ground.
The SF is a lot harder than the TF, but still very doable with any team of competent people. It's nice to have a challenge (as opposed to the TF). The leading the patrons part is kind of tedious though.

A Stalker/Mastermind are not required. I ran the SF with @The Denizen Monday morning with no Stalker or Mastermind. Granted, the final battle took 20+ minutes, but we finished.
I hate the TF. It's boring, it's easy, and everyone wants to fly through the mishes instead of actually fighting the bad guys so that also means not as many drops. I'll stick with the STF, kthx.

I'm talking about just dying in stupid places, before the real fighting even started. I expect to die from the usual Pingu way of fighting
