how do i get to crey's folly?
Ha! I KNEW it! There's no WAY it takes six pages to tell someone where Crey's Folly is! I knew if I kept reading, I'd see an explosion or two! This thread's gushing with high speed action thrills and spills! Yee-HAW!!!
Larry: Owen, what the hell did you do to my wife?
Owen: Well I don't want to say on the phone - all I can tell you is that I killed her last night.

Wow - you haven't played in a zone where Freakshow are just hanging out in the streets? let me guess - MA all the way, right? ...
... You may want to go research what is outside the MA a bit - ParagonWiki is your friend. There is lots more to see than the inside of the AE Building in Atlas Park.

Get off your own. The guy is level 50 and he's asking about things you can't avoid stumbling across if you play the game normally. MA PL n00bs are trash, period. And this is why.

Try reading his post. He made it obvious that wasn't the case.

Hmm. So it's okay when you do it, but when I give the same back it's "silliness" and "outright insults starting to fly". Alrighty then... If you can't take what you give, you should stay out of it in the first place.

If you qualify that as "flying off the handle", you're way too sheltered. There was nothing in there that implied an angry tone. Condescending, perhaps, but not angry. *Shrug* What can I say, I don't like hypocrites.

Aett_Thorn: Crey's Folly is off of Brickstown.
There are Freaks in Brickstown that should be lower level than in Crey's Folly, though. Also, Talos Island has lower-level freaks.

On a slightly related topic for new people, though the game map suggests that Crey's Folly can get you to the Rikti War Zone (RWZ), this is no longer the case (assuming that it ever was).
To enter the RWZ, look for the Vanguard buildings that are in Atlas Park, Founders' Falls, and Peregrine Island.
We've had three people in recent pickup teams that didn't know this, so might be worth mentioning to people when you are doing recruiting.

like i said go back and look at all his post history, he has asked several questions about various things through his lv's. you are assuming he has been pl'd. which is still not a good thing. like i said already in this thread, if he had just asked in his other thread about auras, this would not have gotten blown out of proportion.

It's rare, but there are people that are newbies with 24 month vet badges that don't know their way around. This is a story about one of those lvl 50s that got lost in Paragon City.
You see, Mr. Recluse one day decided to visit Paragon city in order to stop by and see his old friend States. Upon visiting, he immediately was inundated by something called a sewer team. Out of the blue someone blindly invites him to join their team, which he heads along. After a few of the mobs were killed, one of those strange sewer rats begins saying his experience in the sewers wasn't so great, and they look at this spider dude, and immediately call him a NUB. I mean what kind of lvl 50 AV goes on a sewer team? SRSLY.
So, after being pelted by whatever these sewer rats could find to throw on this odd excremental excursion, Recluse beats a hasty retreat out of the sewers. He begins asking where Statesman is.
NUB, U R 50. U dun now whre teh States iz?
He sighs, and figures maybe he can hop on the train system to find his friend. Upon reaching Steel Canyon, he discovers that this city has not one, but TWO train lines and that apparently he's on the wrong one. He asks again where States is, and gets this answer:
NUB. Go 2 IP.
Well, Mr. Recluse now runs across town to the green line, wondering why in the world he can't get a taxi. It might be his legs. People always seem to freak out when they see him. (that's ok, Recluse, I'm sure BaB's has problems with taxis too)
When he finally gets to the green line, he remembers what the 'helpful' hero said. NUB Go to PI.
So he goes to Peregrine Island [Port. IP, PI wut?]
Recluse is getting tired of this poorly designed city. He just wants to visit an old friend and got dragged into the sewers and every time he asks where states is, he's ridiculed for not knowing where he is. Just what kind of city is this? Certainly not one of heroes.
So Recluse dares to ask again in broadcast where Statesman is.
Hero 1: PL NUB. U haf a fitty b/c U asked a farmer. Go back to Atlas, nub.
Recluse: Now just wait a minute. That last guy I talked to didn't look like a farmer. Nor do I see any farms in this mess of a city. I didn't like Atlas. All the people there smell like the sewers.
Hero 1: Nub, U think U R too gud for teh sewers. U arnt 2 gud. Nub. Go to atlas.
Recluse: I want to find Statesman. Is anyone going to help me.
Hero 2: Sigh, why do I always have to be the nice one? It's in IP.
Recluse: I'm in IP.
Hero 1: ...
Hero 1: LAWLz
Hero 2: Sigh, you're in Peregrine Island - PI. You are looking for Independence Port - IP. The fastest way is to use your Ouros Portal.
Recluse: Ouros Portal?
Hero 1: LMAO LOLz, what a nub! HAHAHAHAHAA
Hero 2: Ignore him. Obviously, you're one of those AE babies and know nothing. Better to learn now than never. Here, I'll open one for you. Go inside, climb the skinny bridge thing to the top and get your badge there. Then you'll have an ouros portal.
Recluse: What kind of person puts the access to a device on a skinny bridge to nowhere?
Hero 2: Just do it. It doesn't make sense, I know. Just get the power, go to Independence Port and you should be able to use your map to find him.
Recluse: Map? Nobody gave me a map.
Hero 1: LAWLz. Hit "M" nub.
Recluse: Wow. I didn't know I had that.
Hero 1: SRSLY? It's like even on your screen, nub.
At this point Recluse clicks the portal to end this conversation. Apparently 'heroes' just aren't helpful here.
He climbs up the tower and gets his badge. He heads back to the portal and sees that he has choices on where to go:
Atlas Park: The sewers again? No thanks
...
Independence Port: Yes! States, you are so going to be surprised to see your old friend.
...Click.
Now, things in IP (NOT PI) are just wierd. So apparently the city planners decided that two trains weren't enough - they needed ferries. Lots of them. Why here's one to Crey's Folly and some other place I don't remember. Oh wait, Striga Isle. What a confusing place.
He locates Statesman in Broadcast. Why is he on a boat next to a helicopter? Why would he stand all day on a boat next to a helicopter? That's boring.
Recluse: Guess who!
Statesman: YOU!
Recluse: Hey States, you would not believe the story I have to tell you. The people here have very odd rituals. They all seem to like going in the sewers and call some people farmers, but I haven't seen a single farm in this city. Then I go to IP, but it's not IP, it's PI, so I'm like totally lost, then get taken to this Ouros thing, and in order to get the bloody thing I have to climb this little bridge. Then you have yellow lines, and green lines and ferries to islands and well, it seems to me that your transportation system could use a little work.
States: ... I don't see a problem with the way things work here.
Recluse: Really? Really???? You REALLY don't see a problem with this? REALLY?
States: Really.
Recluse: If I was....
States: Now just stop there. You're going back to your delusions of grandeur. You think you know a better way to run things, but you don't. Paragon City is a marvel and our fair heroes were kind enough to show you around the city and all you have done since you've gotten here is complain.
Recluse: Wait, I didn't....
States: No, YOU wait....
At this point Recluse has realized that there is no hope of reasoning and that this visit has been a waste of his time. As he nods occasionally to States' ranting, he begins thinking that he could make a better transportation system. Why have trains at all?
The rest is history. Recluse builds himself a city with some help from a few friends like Dr. Aeon. But it seems that you still have the same problems:
There is one key difference, can you spot it?
Nub: Where do I start a SG?
Villain: It's VG, nub.
Nub: Ok, where do I start a VG?
Villain: Nub, it's in PO.
Nub: Ok.
Answer: That's right, there's just one villain there. Not many people actually moved to Recluse's city despite the better transportation system and the fact that nobody EVER has to go into the sewers again. Oh, and there is no OP, so the Nub has a chance at finding PO.
