i dont seem how that question matters but the damage doing one.blazing aura
It matters if it's a bug. I have experienced your problem not once since the devs implemented the change in the game that prevents your toggles from turning off due to being mezzed. So, you need to help us figure out whether it's a bug with that power specifically or something else.

even though i didnt turn it off, get stunned, sleep, held, disoriented or knocked back or down why is this happening?

I don't know what toggles you're running (other than Blazing Aura), but clearly one of them isn't Plasma Shield. Plasma Shield is your mez protection and will keep you from getting stunned, slept, held, etc. Whenever you are mezzed any toggles you have that affect others are turned off.

List all your powers. That might help us to determine what is happening.
Is it happening versus all enemies or certain enemies?
Which zone(s) have you been in when this has occurred?
I thought that this was a potential as well, but the OP said that they weren't getting mez, stunned, etc.
I would think that there is a high potential that they were getting mez, stunned, etc. and didn't realize it for one reason or another.

I may be mistaken, but I thought that toggles that had an actual direct effect on an enemy (such as damage, etc...) still do get shut down when you're mezzed. It's just personal effect toggles that stay on/resume.
But I could easily be mistaken.
@SoylentPlaid
I haz 87 Clouded Points
the 5 toggle powere are run, superspeed, blazing aura, fire shield, plasma shield. i also have 12 pts of kb protection but still get kb'd occassionally.
happens with all enemies in all zones lastest was clockwork
Its a FEATURE, was introduced when Toggle Suppression came into the game, for PvP. All Defensive Toggles will be in suppression, while all offensive toggles are out right shut off. Meaning you where hit with enough Mag to suppress them for maybe a second, but since a suppression was caused, Offensive toggles are then shut off. While Defensive Toggles are Technically on, so for that maybe 1 second(do to resists or whatever) you don't notice anything, except your Blazing Aura shutting off.
I know what he's talking about, its Blazing Aura, in fact any toggle that is "NOT" defensive based. Say: Rise to the Challenge, Blazing Aura, Against All Odds, Death Shroud, Lighting Field, Mud Pots, Cloak of Fear, Icicles, Oppressive Gloom, so on & so forth.
These all have "Offensive" capabilities, this includes other powers like: Arctic Air, Disruption Field, Hurricane, Hot Feet, Choking Cloud, Repulsion Field, Force Bubble, Chilling Embrace, World of Confusion & so on & so Forth.
Hope that helps

Good lord, why? In combat those 2 powers are doing nothing but sucking endurance.

Outside of PvP there are only 3 things that can punch through 12 pts of KB protection. AVs, Fake Nemesis, and custom critters in AE.

There are 3 ways to be detoggled.
1: Be hit by a detoggling power in PvP.
2: Lose all your endurance so that you can't maintain the endurance cost of the toggle.
3: Get mezzed (and this will only detoggle powers that affect others, powers that only affect you wont be detoggled)
The only thing I can guess is that you are "biting off more than you can chew". What I mean by that is you are herding up a large group of mez heavy foes and getting hit by enough mez powers to punch through your protection.
Note that it is entirely possible for a mez to only effect you for a split second. This -will- drop offensive toggles. And this is nothing new...

IIRC all toggle drops in PvP were set to 0% (I didn't check every single one, but every one I've checked has been), so #1 isn't really valid anymore.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Running the logic.
The one toggle that is dropping suggests mezzing even if briefly.
Clocks have Tesla Cage which is a sleep, and especially if you are solo herding, can be on and off in a fraction of a second.
For a Scrapper at the clocks levels you have 5.58 Mag at 10 going upto 6.66 Mag at 20.
For a tank its 6.97 to 8.48
Im not sure of the exact mag of tesla cage, but lets assume its Mag 3.
Three if them stacked will happily sleep even a tank.

so offensive powers(toggles) arent worth taking since they get put down so easily?i find mine down so much i just seem to go all thru the fights without it or turning it on repeatedly.
Then you're doing something wrong. Did you take your mez protection power? Offensive toggles are sure as heck worth taking and they do NOT get turned off much (hardly ever) if you're a scrapper or tank.

Do you have Fire Shield and Plasma Shield turned on while you're running Blazing Aura? If not, then you need them turned on for their mez protection so that kind of thing doesn't happen.

Oh that's right I forgot about that, Fire/ mez is split up among the powers.
Fire Shield: Disorient
Plasma Shield: Hold, Sleep
Burn: Immobilize
For what it's worth, the only time I remember my Fire/SS Tank getting mezzed during his entire run to 50 was when he fought Carnies. (Not counting getting drained and chain held by Sappers of course)
The only thing I can guess is that you are facing too many foes at once and the stacked mez is ever so briefly dropping your toggle.
Try fighting just 1 or 2 at a time and see if it still gets dropped. If it doesn't then slowly increase the number of foes until you find out how many you can handle before the stacked mez punches through.
And watch out for those large groups fo Green Ink Men in Talos

Offensive Auras are important parts of aggro management. Your Blazing Aura has a Taunt component to it. Combined with Gauntlet from a Tank's Inherent and Punch-voke from attacks, it helps keep all attention on you and not on high-damage squishies.

Even with Status Toggle, enough of a mag can cause a pause for like half second, when that does, Offensive toggles drop, while defensive suppress

Sounds to me like he's fighting a LOT of mezzing foes at once and they are overcoming his status protection.

Also as JJDraken said and most others seem to forget, defensive toggles still suppress.
So if you are slept, THEN hit with knockback, you'll go flying. It'll unsupress afterward and it won't de-toggle, but it also won't be protecting you.

Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
Back in the day when Mez effects dropped all your toggles, tanks learned not to over pull when the critter group is Mez happy since toggling on all your powers got annoying rather quickly.
Now that defensive toggles, the bulk of a tank's toggles, are simply suppressed and not dropped it's a lot easier to overlook that one offensive toggle that did get dropped or think that there is a bug due to the inconsistency (because most players aren't avid readers of release/patch notes or dev diaries).

Yes, we're well aware of this. But he seems to be saying that this is a common occurrence and it should NOT be unless he's doing something wrong.

Brawl turns off toggles I believe.
recently i have been playing a tank(axe/fire)(my least favorite semi hero). i have 5 toggle powers running, 1 doing damage.the enemy lets call them everyone i have to fight to get thru a misson, have a power that turns off one of toggles specifically, full end, half end makes no difference.
i was wondering when can my toons get that power? i am constently turning the toggle back on even though i didnt turn it off, get stunned, sleep, held, disoriented or knocked back or down why is this happening?
