It's Gus Macker weekend this weekend, so we have all sorts of out-of-state dipsticks roaming around right now.
My altitis is on FIRE, if you know what I'm sayin'.
I keep rolling new characters. Concepts are fluttering around in my head. New, awesome names keep popping up in the Virtue Name Watch, all the while past characters are looking more and more sad everyday.
I think today is where I draw the line, no new characters until Going Rogue is released. I doubt I can do it but maybe announcing it in the Rookery will help.
It won't help. Alt-itis is something we all go thru. It's ok to roll up new toons, don't worry

I know your pain Viv. I live in a college town with a pretty big football team and a fair number of big events. During any of those thing (but especially the home football games), the entire downtown area becomes packed shoulder to shoulder with drunk, idiotic out of towners who don't care about trashing our town. And heavens forbid if you would give any of them a hard time. Or you know, make eye contact with one.
I actually was trying to walk through downtown during a game. I had both hands full at the time, and just trying to get home. I had a guy follow me for three blocks, stepping on my heals he was so close, yelling and screaming at me because I wouldn't shake his hand. Drunk, stinking and stupid, followed me right up to a cop and I reported him for harassment.

Well, it's all well and good until I realized that I'm never getting characters to the really fun stuff. I'm barely even getting characters to 20 before I move on to something else. If I would take some time to focus on a few characters I could get to the really powerful levels. I'm actually afraid that if I continue this I'm going to get burned out playing the same levels over and over.
So, yeah, I agree, rolling alts is well and good, I just think what I'm doing now is actually effecting how I enjoy the game.
It's a date if you know what I'm saying.
