Yeah Pain Domination is the supposed healing type for villains. I honestly like being a MM with /pd. I suggest Necromancy/PD it is fun. I havent really tried a good corr with PD, but ive seen nice things come from them as well.

I agree that true healing is like lipstick on a pig, and as such, I was hoping to contribute to the battle as well.
On our server when you get a group together you have very little in the way of any healing and just that little extra would be a great addition to any team.
That being said, I tire of MM's very quickly having an MM that is a healing secondary sounds like a yawner to me....Send pets out, watch them kill, heal them if you need to...rinse and repeat....I'm old and frankly I would rather watch the seconds tick by on my death clock.
I was hoping a corruptor would give me the opportunity to challenge my soloing abilities as well as perform the healing duties of the VG.
I like the /pain list of skills, and dont want to play with fire anymore, 3 of my 50's are fire based. sorta hinting at the whole package here

I have a Dark/Dark Corruptor. With Twilight Grasp 3 slotted for Accuracy (this was before Accurate Healing was available).
As I was teaming, someone else with some other kind of team heal power (this was over a year ago, I don't remember what the power was) was flabbergasted that I was doing about 3 times the amount of healing he was doing.
Add in the effect of reduced ToHit, Damage and Regeneration of our foes, this was a very effective heal at lower levels.

Yeah - both Kin and Dark Miasma's heal do about 2-3x the amount similar aoe heals from other sets do because they can miss - but they have a inherrent acc bonus and work great.

Well, with the target dead, nowhere for the little healer pet to drop!
Oh, and Dark has an awesome AoE stun that doubles as an AoE rez Also easily rezzes Self Destructed allies.

Dark Miasma has that one-two punch: One of the best AoE Heals in the game, and if the teammates miss the heal and die, the best and only AoE Rez in the game (full health and endurance recovery of several teammates at once plus and AoE stun of foes).
However, if you have a team that just charges in on Invincible and aren't doing their share of damage mitigation and expect a 'healer' to make up for their poor builds, poor play style, and poor tactics; don't play with them, they're doing it wrong.

/Regen Stalkers have good heals.
...But if you want to heal other people /Thermal or /Pain Corruptor.

I don't play villains much so the only set I've used is thermal. I have a fire/thermal and I like it. You've got a single target heal, AoE heal, shields and buffs. I've played dark blue-side and it kicks some major butt - Shadowfall, serious debuffs and a powerful heal. Not a clue about Pain Domination.

If most of your VG is doms, brutes, and stalkers...
It's not so much that you need a healer as such, but a more support-oriented character.
Pain Domination is a good healer/buffer - that's the traditional kind of support. Pain Corr would work for your purposes.
I think Dark Miasma is a good option, though - that gets you a pretty effective AoE heal and a lot of debuffs - if your regular teammates are all damage-heavy, then having some debuffs would go well.
(Especially if you take a debuff-oriented Corr primary like Dark Blast or Sonic Blast)

Hate pure healers , most useless thing you could do for 50 levels. In fact your dead weight and should be /kicked for not contributing.
Now onto something useful, I have a /pain and a /dark on villain side, for versatility I would choose /dark. It has a great AoE heal , loads of debuffs and -regen for AV's and fluffy to chuck into melee with your Brutes and Stalkers. He will debuff the crap out of everything and heal your melees if needed.
Basically you have 2 heals and 3 debuffs going at all time
Pure healers are about as useful as petless masterminds.
If it's both at the same time... you are truly damned.

My VG is having problems with a lack of healing. Many of us are Doms, Brutes or Stalkers.
Since I have a lvl 50 already, (Dom), I eagerly volunteered to create a pure healer type.
After searching tirelessly on the boards I havent found any AT that compares to a true healer like the Heroes Empathy. So any of you villians out there that know the answer to this, please help me out...and no, I dont want to play an MM, I'm thinking corrupter at this point.
