Mid's is way out of date.

Mid also stepped down and the project has been adopted by someone else.

I would like something official, with up to date and correct numbers so I can plan my toons properly.

By "way out of date", you mean "doesn't have the EIGHT PvP invention sets"?


Because that's the only thing NOT in the current version of Mids'.

well it does have to have the actual dr numbers reworked to subtract the amounts to represent but that takes some time to. and i have to add that you can look into the PvP sets to see that almost all of the bonuses are the same for each set and build with that in mind.

Mids will eventually become out of date, but by then I guess we'll have to go back to what we all did pre-Mids: Respec Trials.

and it takes time to get the numbers to put in. not to mention that he has to do the numbers for all AT's basically. not to mention that im sure the person who took over for mid's when he stepped down has RL things to do.

These are exactly the types of reasons I would like an OFFICIAL COX CHARACTER BUILDER.

The players want something up to date with correct numbers and values so they can plan thier toons properly.

This service should be provided by the company who creates this game.

so you want them to stop working on content for the game to spend who knows how long to make a CoX builder? i think that what we have in mid's is perfectly fine. maybe if they gave the info to stiener instead of making him research it for himsel that would make it easier for him to update mid's.

Steiners working on getting Mids up to date.

From what i gather the issues hes having are thus

1.) learning the code of a new app
2.) PVP IO's being tricky to code in
3.) The city traveller vet power being annoying to code in.

Hes pretty sure he can catch up and have a version for I15 not not long after i15 goes out.

Yeah the I15 Dom changes for example are 'simple' to add in, its changing the value in a few lookup tables.

Mac was my first and only brand of computer for about 10 years. I gave it several chances to catch up in terms of its compatibility issues with... everything. I tried...

But, I couldn't wait any longer. My life became 20,000 times easier with a PC, and I could finally install CoH on my machine (pre-Mac release, of course). I feel your pain, I really do, but that's Mac for you.

I am showing this post to my brother the next time he starts ardently insisting that I buy a Macintosh.

That aside, I really don't think the devs are responsible for creating an offline character creation tool, especially not when Mid's already exists. I wouldn't know where to begin making Mid's work on a Mac, though.

[/ QUOTE ]Suckerpunch's planner is so out of date I couldn't imagine using it for anything seriously. I don't mean that as a slight to Suckerpunch, but for build planning, it's just not practical.

I think a tool that does build/set/salvage planning, provides herostats, and costume creation planning all in one nice neat package would be a huge service.
