I think limiting it to a once a month thing is a good idea. For the simple fact that being as its a saturday and there are many things usually going on but also from the perspective of someone who runs alot of events. Since there is already a weekly blue side one then to make a red one weekly makes it hard for someone like me to schedule other events. Since that pretty well kills a weekend for the normal time many schedule things for.

Hrm. I was thinking of maybe moving my Strike Force idea to the second and fourth Saturdays of the month with the redside Hamidon raid going monthly, but you make a good point in that just kills Saturdays for everybody else. Eh, I may as well just keep Strike Force Sundays the way it is.

I think several small events can easily be ran on the same nights and not be conflicting and just offer a nice variety for players to choose from. Even on hami nights having another smaller ran event such as a tf race or badge event is fine as well. Offers those who don't like doing hami raids an alternative.
Where the problem comes in is if people schedule large events on the same nights as hami raids. For example a rikti ship raid and hami raid at the same time would be conflicting. Both need a good amount of people and could actually fail without enough people.
I'll be there for both events, barring acts of the gods or force majeure. I don't know that I'm qualified to lead the team, per se ... I think Dread is probably a better choice if he's on an MM ... I also thought that Meowtch did a great job on her corr (?) toon. I'd be more than happy to help recruit, though, and start the team off if I'm there early (and I am usually early). I'd be most willing to pass the star to anyone that's more qualified once things get rolling, if that seems appropriate.
As for recruiting ... shall we simply post asking for interested parties in this thread ... or start another one for each team (which may give us more forum "clutter" than we'd like.

As most of you probably know, I have been trying to get a dedicated redside hamidon raiding community going for a while now. However, most raids I try to form get quashed due to lack of interest. At most I usually get 20 or so people that show up.
So what would be the best way to schedule these things? The one that Kat helped me organize seemed to work since there was a great deal of time between the initial announcement and the actual raid. That would work, but it's not the weekly event I am hoping for.
Maybe the problem is the day. Saturdays are generally not the highest population night. That would go to Sundays, which wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't a blueside hamidon raid that night as well. A real pipe dream of mine would be to alternate off redside and blueside raids every week, but I doubt that the hardcore blueside raiders would go for that.
So, what do you think the best course of action would be?

Yep, since i9, Hamidon has been completely changed so that the old raid strategy is no longer used. Villains are also now able to complete Hami raids in a zone called The Abyss.

Well you might want to make sure your Emp is spec'ed right. There is no "healing blanket" anymore. +Regen >> Heals against Hami. You slowly gain resist to heals (well past 100% resist), and some -Regen, but against AB, the -regen is in the noise.
