Why are there still a MASSIVE amount of "farms"?

Wow that really puts a burden on us. If some guy doesnt like you and hits report.........it gets banned without being looked at .....its on you to deal with customer support. Seems like a new way to grief to me.
I dont know how you get around it, maybe make it so they have to give a full description of WHY it should be banned and customer service MUST email you why it was banned. I think thats fair. If they cant do it.....because of a lack of people to process reports then DONT BAN THEM.

Read them again, that's not quite how it works.
If you get reported, a human reviews it. If you get enough reports before a person can review it, then it gets removed temporarily (I don't know if it locks the slot at that point). If the person reviewing it thinks it's a Farm Mission, it gets locked and you can't unpublish it to free up the slot. (From other people's posts you get a chance to "fix" it, if that doesn't work, you can appeal to CS to try to get your slot back.)
If the reviewer doesn't think it's a Farm, they put it back up, and mark it "unbannable". Any change or republish of the arc clears the "unbannable" flag.
Some people are claiming that attaching any kind of a story to a Farm will get it past the restrictions. But so far, I haven't seen actual confirmation of that.
I have not seen anyone use the term "any kind of story", I have used "a story" and there is a difference even if small.

That was my understanding... so 2 things could be in play:
1-Ppl a not reporting
2- they lack the staff to convert all the reported arc.

I agree. It is a shame. They already know from SA votes and ratings griefs, people grief others just because. Then there is a group of self rightous people that "think" they are doing something good by reporting this "farm", when it is not a farm at all.
The one thing that burns me more than ANYTHING in this game is the areas where the devs "allow" players to grief other players. Disgusting.

Yep.. When there is a group of self-appointed "farm police" going around looking to report as many arcs as possible that don't meet their standards, and on top of that petitioning players who even mention the word "farm" in broadcast, I have little to no desire to bother with MA.
Yeah, the farm haters all say in their hypocracy that MA farmers will kill the game.
It's actually the hate that is killing the game. Farm haters hate because they feel ignorant for not figuring out how to increase their rewards.
People's so called protecting the game comes off as nothing but hate.
I've never minded answering questions like where to go to get capes no matter the lvl of the questioner.
I'd rather protect the game by being inclusive and helpful instead of discriminating and hateful and demanding that people play the game one specific way.

There are still fun and enjoyable missions of types the developers don;t bother to make. All boss high difficulty mission are lots of fun. Massive spawns of ambushes are loads of fun. Then there are the danger rooms that throw everything you can take at you and keep doing it till you dropp
Enjoy it while you can, if the developers give the idiots free reign you know its time to find a new game

This x1000! Everyone I personally know in-game that farms, also tend to be among the most laid-back, fun-loving and knowledgeable players out there. They also are among the most active players out there, and are just as likely to be running TF's, badging, or any other normal game content, as they are to be farming.

I cant help but think there has always been a "people wont play with me cause they farm" attitude in this game. Be it all the way back to the early days of peregrine island that i can recall.
The MA has made this somewhat easier, due to auto SKing, and ease of travel, but frankly if farming was removed from the MA, let say they decided MA missions dont grant xp, guess what?
Ya all you busy bodies that want to say its wrong cause all people do is farm, will be claiming you cant find a team to run MA missions at all because those that do farm will simply go back to running their missions that were providing the best results for xp gain from before hte MA was introduced.
So my response is stop your [censored]. If you want to run missions then find missions and avoid the farms, if you dont want to run MA then dont. Yes MA is a great tool, but its not like your doing anything that really doesnt already exist from dev content, you just think you are cause it says someone else wrote it. But its sill a get flashie, still a rescue X, still a kill X or whatever.
But those that farm will and have always farmed. They arent planning on playing with you anyway, so forget them, forget theirmissions and arcs, and go play with yourself.... i mean by yourself, or make a team that wants to do what you want to do.

Why are there a massive amount of farms?
Because people like farming, that's why.
Why do you make a distinction between FUN arcs and farms? Does a block of poorly written text make all the difference? Functionally, a farm plays almost identically to a "normal" mish, it's just that the rewards are better. Even if people weren't farming, they wouldn't want to play through your Mary Sue fanfic.

I'm not a "farm-hater", but I do believe that failing to limit the amount of XP Farming in MArch would be bad for the game in the long run. Which camp do you lump ME into?

There don't appear to be any current exploits being abused. That makes it pretty unlikely that a new player could get onto an exploitative Farm Mission team.
Even if they did get onto a "secret" one, it's unlikely they'd be punished for it. A new player running on an exploit team maintaining THAT low a profile is hardly an "egregious" abuser of the system.
