I'm not convinced that, post-Rikti Comm Officers, that your typical MA "farm" mission is any more efficient than running regular radio/paper missions, save for the fact that you waste less time going from group to group, and traveling from mission to mission.

I have certainly seen plenty of idiots try to do farm missions with the equivalent of a sewer team, deluded into believing that it's smart to try to fight purple-con custom LTs at level 5. Even more moderate forms of this tend to be slower than an eight-man sewer team. The situation gets better in later levels, particularly the post-SO levels, but in general, fast leveling in MA tends to come from leeching, just like it does outside of MA. It's just that the auto-SK seems to make team leaders less aware of the leeching phenomenon.

As a farming individual, you might be able to optimize an MA mission for your particular build, but if you're someone of this sort, all you're doing, in all likelihood, is switching from a dev farm to your own farm to eke out that last little bit of reward per minute. Creating a good farm for an 8-man team is another matter, particularly if you expect it to be played pre-level 40 or so. The kinds of things a group of IO'd-out 50s can take on are very different from, say, a group of level 25s with SOs.

Post-Comm Officers, the community hasn't, as far as I can tell, settled on particular MA farms. If you join a farm team, chances are that the arc you'll run will be something you haven't seen before, with custom powersets and costumes that are new and unique. At the very least, new visuals are a welcome change. Ironically, by farming, you're actually probably going to see new content with every new group you join.

I personally don't care if everyone farms, as long as they're not using exploits. I DO care that everyone is publishing their own farm missions. Seriously, there are so many around already, many of which are obviously not going anywhere, just use one of those and quit making more. What is the difference between your Meow and the other guy's Meow? None.

The same thing happened with badge farmers when there were still badges to farm. And those arcs are still up, and they're probably also going to keep clogging up the search indefinitely.

I15 will not introduce a "not a farm" tag. The tag system assumes that people are using the MA for story purposes, so there is no tag that states that.

I love how people flame farming. This game was and has ever been a farming game. You can farm any mission & the dev's can never stop it!
The dev's actually made it easier to farm now with MA
Then the dev's go into nerdrage mode and buuuwaaaah! peeepoooz r'z farmingz our MA'z BUWAAAAH!

The people who write negative things against Farming or MA farms are most likely the people saying, "lvl 1 tanker lfae plz" and get nothing, then go into NERDRAGE mode and try to ruin it for everyone else.

This type of flaming has been going on ever since I started playing Beta. No matter what anyone says you have some troll saying soemthing to try and crush it.

You should recheck you MArc's after each update Warface, it's farely common for something to break. As for the banning process, if a MArcs get locked for potentially a farm, and the CS review deems that it is indeed not a farm, then it cannot be banned again. Editing the MArc again after that, will remove it's 'un-banable' tag.

Well, to play devil's advocate here, if I put up my Meow and somehow it becomes a popular Meow, I'll get tickets from people running mine and rating it well, right?

I personally have no horses in this race, my only thoughts on the subject are that I find farming too dull to be worth the time.

Although I guess some people think their farm is special somehow because it has their name on it...I don't know. I don't pretend to understand.

Why would I run a "4 starred" arc, when I can run my Coalition friends', my SG Friends', or Global Friends' arcs?

Sure, in structure, they may all be the same.........JUST LIKE all the other fanfic crap that is produced. Same with all the loldevcontent stuff being produced.

In the end, who cares? Like really....who really cares? Just because lolfanfics are being buried? Riiiiiight. Because MA is strictly for storytelling? and not the advertised "you can level in MA 1-50" as well?

Like I said...in the friggin end...who really gives a damn? It's a friggin game. Calm down and just play.
