Thursday 's Good Morning thread waits for Friday
Thanks Rooky and Fed.
When the foot massages are over I could use a brain massage. Lately things suck.
Ummm... we might need to sterilize the Rookery before we try that.

Me too, hon. Me too. Makes you want to hit the RESET button for a period of time, doesn't it?
Bad day. Someone at work accidentally saved over an eight-page document I had written up for this morning. Not good at all.
Hopefully the rest of you have a happy happy joy joy pain-free afternoon.
Bwahahahaha!!!! I escaped!! I escaped!!!!...

Hey gang! Sorry to hear about the bad things happening to some of you. I hope everything turns out for the better soon.
I also hope you'll all permit me a rare opening of my in-game feelings right now. I lack the pretense of thinking this warrants its own thread and I've always enjoyed the outlook of the Rookerizens. Maybe you'll have an insight that will help me.
I never got a villain to 50. In the low forties, yes, but no 50 yet. I got a SS/WP brute at 42 but I can't bring myself to playing him anymore. It seems I'm always running after Fury and watching for when Rage is gonna crash on me. I got an EM/SR stalker I enjoy a lot, but I always soloed him and the last time I played on a team left me the impression it was better this way. Indeed, every one of my attacks felt too slow and cumbersome compared to the speed at which the rest of the team was killing. (And no, I don't AS and wait for Hide to come back - I hold my ground and scrap it out.) 41 to 50 is a loooooog way if I'm going to solo it all. I don't want to feel like the 5th wheel on a team.
To solve my problem, I've recently created an Elec/Pain corruptor which I enjoy quite a lot. I feel very useful to any team I join because I can equally well dish out damage and support - and I can easily balance the two roles depending on the needs of the team. It's been a fun ride to 21: I've formed and lead my own teams most of the way up. However, in the last week, it started to bog down. Since I hit Sharkhead, it seems I've stepped into a ghost town. I can't recruit anyone anymore, no teams are recruiting either - it's like the whole zone is empty. /whoall reveals maybe a dozen people, half of them way past my level.
I'd really like to be able to hit 50. Because I want to experience the redside high-end content and try out the VEATS. But I don't want to do it at the cost of not experiencing the content on my way to 50 and neglecting the natural development of my skills. I felt bad the other night because I was playing a level 41 stalker on a team and I had never teamed as a stalker before: the result was that I was a lot less useful than I ought to have been. I don't want to be that 40-something corruptor who can't time his buffs in a smart manner when the s*** hits the fan on a LGTF.
What it really all comes down to is: what should I do to have more opportunities to team with smart, funny and interesting people? I know joining an active SG is more often than not the way to go, but I already have my own group that I share with another person, a very close friend. She's not on very often but I'd feel guilty abandonning her, especially ater all the work she's done on the bases!
Thanks for reading this. I figured if you can get infinite donuts and footrubs in here, it can't be that hard to get 30 seconds of empathy.
That can be troublesome Pulc. I know there are Rookery villain teams out there in the mid 20's right now. So if you get on channel and check in here I am sure you can lackey with them easily enough. I have a brute languishing at 34, so when you guys hit 30 I can bring him along too.
With the AE places like Sharkhead do seem awfully dead these days, not sure what can be done about that. But if I am redside you are always welcome to lackey with one of my toons.
The stalker thing sucks, the devs made them but never really considered where they fit on a team. In all my years on this game I have never heard someone say "This team really could use a stalker." It's too bad because a lot of stalkers end up left out in the cold.
Heroes : Angrem (50 Stone tank), Exo Inferis (50 Fire blaster), Exo Proteus (50 ill/emp), IceVengance (50 cold defender)

*nods sagely*
Ummm, can't help ya. Highest villain is sub 20 still ;P
Rookery. related villany is a good option though.
Issues due to using /hide from search to avoid spammers probably has something to do with search being empty.
I have a 50 villain. On Victory.
I know, not much help, but it took me since the release of CoV to get her there, so it's cause for celebration and mentioning whenever possible.
Pure Temptation, level 50 fire/ea brute.
About ten of my thirteen Virtue slots are villains at the moment, including one 50 and two more over 40. I'm currently leveling up a Widow, so give me a holler if you ever want a team redside.
Gname is @Emgro. If I'm around, I'm either on a team or looking for one. Be forewarned I may be doing Ouro stuff for old badges or random storylines, or weird non-farm AE stuff.
Trust me I know the feeling. I started on CoV back in July 06 and took a few breaks here and there(about a year total time). I finally got my first 50 villain yesterday. It can be painful at times but you just have to keep at it. Of course I owe a lot to Cien for running all the SFs and Trails recently. Those helped me a lot.
Lately I've been in teams of 2-4 people I know, then PUGers. We select the PUGers based on level appropriateness, their character name, and their search comment (if any).
EDIT: I never found it as much of a trial to level my villains. Then again I have 7 brutes... Loves me some smash.

I'll team with you Pulc. My lvl 26 MM can LK you
If it means anything, I've been here since day one and still don't have a 50. The closest I have is a lev 42 stalker. But then I got interested in my fire/ice magic blaster that had been at 20 since I2 or3 and recently got him up to 32.
I have a bunch of alts a BIG bunch. Someday I'll have a 50.
Someday...
::stares off into space::
The first one is always the most difficult.
Heroes : Angrem (50 Stone tank), Exo Inferis (50 Fire blaster), Exo Proteus (50 ill/emp), IceVengance (50 cold defender)
Villains : AtomBomb (50 Rad/Kin corruptor), Aleks (50 SS/Inv brute), StoneLethal (50 EM/Stone brute), Davroz (50 Bots/Dark mastermind)
I finally made a villain who will break level 10.
He's fire/fire.
*is falling asleep*
I wanna go home!
*falls alseep on Emmi*
I'm already home. I still don't want to do anything. Been oddly tired and lack-of-desire-for-anything today.
I did pick up Left 4 Dead today for the pc. Haven't installed it yet though.
SG Mate: Cien, what the hell is this Rookery thing?
RadDidIt: (interjecting) Dude. It's the Rookery.
SG Mate: Yeah, but what IS it?
RadDidIt: Silliness Incarnate.
Hello all.
Hello Pulc.
Ok, you already know I usually play late (after 9 PST) so if you play when everyone else seems to, I might not be much help. But anytime you're on, look at the Rookery. chat. If you see me I'll come join you. I have a crab at lvl 18 (Crabby Patty) and a brute at 34 (I think) (Fry Cook) who can use some dusting off. Brutes seem to make short work of the mid/late 40's.
And I understand what you're saying about stalkers. I love my stalker but it seems to take forever for her to level.

Do so Neko, it's hilariously fun. Play on easy though, friendly fire doesn't count there. Let me know when you have it online sometime we can shoot zombies together.

Go expert or go home! Well, after you learn how not to shoot your allies. L4D is great fun.
Unfortunately as much as I try I seem to shoot them as if they were worth lots of bonus points. The only time I do ok at not shooting them is with the hunting rifle/m14 looking thing. But then they shoot me and I get killed! Easy is just good, bullet spraying fun.

Is this a prototype? I haven't seen them marketed...
