Pocket D?
If you've just come out of the tram, turn left, cross the road, the empty lot, the drainage area and the highway, and you should see a truck with pink flyers. That's the door. On the minimap it is a green dot.
It should be a green dot on the mini-map. If it doesn't show up, click on the drop down menu of the mini-map to make sure you have checked the option to display the zone-gates.

Welcome to the game and the forums!
And, if you've got the screen resolution that can afford it, you can undock the map and move it wherever you wish, and shrink it down to have it open at all times. This is really, really handy in everyday heroics.

Feel free to ask what you might think are stupid questions. It's reasonably safe - however, before *suggesting* anything? Best to ask and search first, because 5 years into the game, we've thought about a LOT of other stuff to be put in or changed

Yeah, what Z_I said. We generally are happy to help a newcomer with questions about the game, it's newcomers coming in, looking around for thirty seconds and then saying "you need to change this, this and this so it's just like the last game I played" that tend to attract flames.

But yeah, best avoid posting in Suggestions and Ideas for a while.
As for Pocket D, it works well as a 'hub' of sorts between some zones. Be warned, the other zones it exits into have much higher-level enemies than King's Row. You can also get a teleport power that automatically takes you into the exclusive Tiki Lounge area, from the Good vs Evil edition or in-game item pack.
Don't forget to check out the Monkey Fight Club while you are there. I believe it's on the hero side of the club, lower floor.

haha cool thanks guys, yea I went out n bought the good vs evil edition after I posted lol so how do i claim my jetpack and teleport power? /claim didnt do it and I didnt see a message when I logged in after I entered in the serial code
rofl scratch my reply, silly me opened powers window and there they are
Yeah, as you've noticed - when you apply codes to your account...for existing characters, the new stuff will appear in your powers list and needs to be manually dragged to one of your trays.
When you create a new character, the jump jet should appear automatically in a tray, but the Pocket D teleporter will not (and the D teleporter can't be used until you're level 3, anyway).

Two quick things about teleports for you :
Any zone-crossing teleport power (Pocket D Teleport, Mission Teleporter, Base Teleport, etc) will require you are trained to level 3 (have selected where to place your first two extra slots) before you can use this to prevent issues with the tutorials.
Also, while in the main area of the club (any area where villains and heroes can mingle) all teleport powers are disabled. Note powers like the Mission teleport will still go off (and take the full time to recharge) but they won't work.
Go down the elevators, however, and they will work fine.

2 more questions:
1. what is SG mode?
2. What is patrol xp and I'm assuming you get it from detectives/police missions? And what can u do with it?
1: Supergroup Mode becomes available when you join or create a Supergroup, obviously. When this mode is activated, you don't gain as much Influence/Infamy as usual (I think), but earn Prestige, which your Supergroup can use to build a base and pay rent.
2: Patrol XP comes from leaving a character offline for a day or more. When you come back to that character, you'll find some of your XP bar is blue- you'll gain 50% more experience for as long as that bar goes. Dying will not induce debt, but will reduce your remaining Patrol XP. I think you gain more Patrol XP than usual by logging off anywhere that's not a Day Job location. (if you don't know Day Jobs, there's some NPCs ingame that talk about them, try the city hall)

Actually, you DO get just as much influence/infamy up to level 24, according to Paragon Wiki, and then after that you start earning less and less influence/infamy if you stay in SG mode.

k i think ive got the hang of most stuff now.. I just found out you could combine inspirations to make self rezzes n such lol I dont remember reading that in any of the tutorials.. umm I guess one of my last questions would be how do you get new costume pieces unlocked besides vet rewards? I have lots of rare salvage and reciepes but there is no costume catagory at the workbenches or anything
also, is there any like guide websites or anything that shows all the costume pieces you can unlock?
There are only a few costume pieces you can craft, different styles of wings and a couple of boots with FX attached to them. You can bid on them at the consignment house.

cool oh and I forgot to ask about Task Force missions? I believe thats what they are called? Umm r they on the map? And I got in a group that said they were doing 1 but I am getting no xp and am level 20 and someone said we were doing a strike force which xp caps at 20
so whats diff in task and strike forces?
thnx guys
TF = hero group mission set
SF = vill group mission set
You get them from contacts as usual. Most do have a minimum and maximum level. You have to be a sidekick/lackey to try them below the minimum. If you're too high level, you automatically get bumped down to the sf's level cap and earn no xp during it.

As far as being on the map, there is a contact for them - and often times the contact is standing near the trainer in that zone. I have hardly ever started a task force, so i coudn't begin to tell you about which ones start where - but paragon wiki does have that info

lol yea thanks , found wiki from google so that should answer most my ?'s
but i do have a technical question well sorta.. if you click the menu button in game.. it shows a drop down list with a circle next to the costumes so it looks like i can add it to the list above the health bar.. so how do u do that? i hope i made sense lol hard to explain

If you are below the minimum level, you will not be able to do the TF/SF.
