No, there is censorship going on here. When a mod edits your thread and deletes 3 sentences out of your post and leaves the rest then it's censorship. Plain and simple. Just look at how many post were edited by a mod and not the poster.

Tony, I'm sorry man, but your logic is flawed. I don't know what the other peoples reasons are, but the reason I'm not 'GO'ing is because I want to make the most of the money I've given to the game. I've already paid my money for the subscription up to November (was on a 6 month program, or whatever) and to leave any earlier than that would be throwing that money down the toilet.

It's not even like this is happening so much that it can't be addressed by the Moderation/Dev team. They simply won't have any of it. It is what it is. A man, who created a game, is telling another man that he shouldn't have an opinion about the negative aspects of that game.... and then... literally... taking his voice away from him. If you want to make a game good, you have to be able to accept negative feedback. But that's not what they're doing. They're telling us they are making the game the way they want to make it and if we don't like it, we should pick up and move on. So that's what we are doing.

if you even bothered to read my first post in here i stated that i would be leaving for now due to RL( real life, sad i have to tell you what RL means) reasons. i never said i would be gone for good. and again, NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO READ OR REPLY TO THESE POSTS!
like Rock said, i am making the most of what i paid. if i don't it was a waste of money and since i can't get a refund i will be here until i decide to leave.

I am probably going to get a lot of blast against me for this but keep in mind that this is not towards anyone or am I defending the game, or the company but just a reasonable opinion. COX is not paying me for saying this.
City of Heroes is a Service Game. This means that they are in the field of servicing. Although we pay to play this game we also have the right to quit as well as City of Heroes has the right to delete any accounts they feel that customers are abusing, right to refuse services to anyone or change anything in the forum if they see that words are being misinterpret or incite hateful conduct. The Forum is free to the public but keep in mind that it still belongs to City of Heroes and City of Heroes are responsible for that Forum and its contents that are being put in there.
For Example: Lets say I go into a Starbucks and order a cup of coffee and its done wrong or I dont like how it is done. I paid for it and I go off on the employees or even the company and make a big scene. People who are in Starbucks enjoying a quiet time or even the atmosphere are ruin because of my anger, frustrations, and yelling. Believe it or not because of what I am doing in there I CAN ruin or EVEN affect other peoples enjoyment, atmosphere, and even changes their emotions, anger can arise from them, or they can ignore it. Of course, Starbucks employees can say I am sorry but you are going to have to leave or say we have the right to refuse services to anyone. And I said, I paid for my drink, I can say whatever suggestions or opinions I want and you cant stop me.
Its the same concept as what CoX is doing. They are Refusing the Right to Services Anyone they feel that is ruining the game for other people.
Suggestions and opinions that they see is harmful or create chaos in the long run must be stopped before it is started. How many of us read some of the forums topics and misinterpret the words. A simple farewell to the game from a long time player has turned into chaos. And I think this is what CoX was trying to avoid.
Accusations start flying, anger arises and hate comes across. Words that are written have many misinterpretations and interpretations. As I sit here and write this and people who reads this, many interpretation can derived from what I am trying to point out. Some people may think this is reasonable, some people may think, oh geesh Doc is taking this too serious or Doc is being hateful and others may think my god it is just a freaking game. And you know what?, I can understand how a simple words, ideas, or even suggestions turns into something bigger that was never there in the first place.
However we interpret this keep in mind that we are all different people and thats how this world is made up and because we are all different people we all have different thinking, ideas, opinions, suggestions, understanding, and interpretation of meaning, words, or even phrases.

Well said and thought out. I think another thing that people tend to forget is that your right to free speech doesn't apply on an internet forum. A mod really needs absolutely no reason to edit, delete, ban, etc. Being a mod myself on two other internet forums(automotive and sports) I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but in all honestly, the mods could be 100 times worse with some of the stuff that is posted on the COX forums.

The idea behind this thread was to let my friends online know what's going on and also explain why.
If I posted thoughts or ideas that could be considered flame bait, I sincerely apologize as that was not my intention.
As Siolfir pointed out, I am not a farmer. I am not upset that I won't be able to farm. It is not what's made me want to stop playing the game. I simply do not appreciate (among other things) the lengths in which the Devs are willing to take in order to prevent it.
