Quick Female costume question
There is a "Hood" option for all characters to begin with, with three varieties. You can mix this with any cape (which yes, you will do a misison at 20 for.)
I'm *reasonably* sure the high collar option is available on females as well - the Baron jacket is not (females get Bolero instead.)
Yes, lvl 20 can unlock a cape costume option.
Hoods are available to anybody, right from lvl 1.
Male, Female, and Huge all have Hoods as a "Head" option.
There are only a few options though:
Hood
Lower Hood
Thief Hood
Arcane Hood (for those with Magic Booster Pack)
As for "High Collar", that is a type of cape that falls under the "Back Detail" category and CAN be combined with any of the hoods. I warn you, it looks quite strange on "Huge" characters though, lol.

[/ QUOTE ] You are correct sir.
Hoods are not my specialty, but to the best of my knowledge they are always part of the selection you make for your character's head, and not the back/shoulder. High collars might belong to the back/shoulder slot, though, so it's possible you would need to combine the right pieces to get the look you want. It is also possible that you can't get that look. (Yet. There's a costume request thread if you find out what you want isn't currently offered.)
Is it just my imagination or are more players expert on the fashioning of costumes in this game, than any other aspect of play?

Thanks for the reall quick replies, Iam loving the community already . Well I seen a koo looking cape robe that is from the new costum pack. Seen many male heroes use them but havent seen any female yet. So... both female and male can use the high collar robes and the new hoods from the new costume pack? if your correct :P I guess iam going to be buying that pack in the days to come.

The Magic booster is definitely worth the 10 bucks.
Please read my FEAR/Portal/HalfLife Fan Fiction!

The Magic Pack's got some great stuff in it, it's well worth the money. Probably a little late now, but if you haven't purchased a version of the game yet, get the Architect Edition. For twenty bucks, it comes with a free month of play and a code for the Booster Pack of your choice, so you could grab the Magic Pack if you wanted. Oh, and welcome to the City!
Thanks . Iam on the trial right now, but I was going to buy the game this week with the booster pack. Should I get teh Architect edition? ( It includes the game and a choice of a booster?)
Getting the Architect Edition gives you all the current patches on a disk via the retailer. If you buy from the NC Store you get them as a digital download and you will get the codes on your account. You are getting one booster and the entire game for the costs of two boosters.
Doc Mech-Nec (Exalted): 50 Bots/FF MM
Crey Radiation Tank (Exalted): 50 Rad/Rad Corr
Servers: Exalted, Triumph, Champion
Alts: 32

Probably the greatest deal I've EVER seen for CoX
There are also extra goodies you can get from other editions of the game. If you want those items, I strongly suggest that you buy the full edition because in addition to the goodies you get a free month added to your account.
So for example if you bought the Mac edition you would get the:
Valkyrie Costume set
Mission Teleporter power
and the free month.
Price $19.99 minus the free month $15.00 you'll save your getting it for $4.99
Otherwise it costs $9.99 for just the goodies and no free month.

Note that if you decide to do this and you already have the game on your machine, all you have to do is go to the PlayNC website and buy the serial code for it. You don't need to go and get a whole 'nother box and install from the new disks. There's essentially "one" version of the game with lots of little flags on your account about what's "unlocked" and what's not.
Oh, and when you get a full version of the game, make sure when you apply the serial codes you tell the store to *upgrade* your existing account with it, don't create a new one. That way, you can keep all the characters you made on your trial account.
O wow nice. Gosh Iam not sure what to do, either buy it right at this minute or wakeup tommarrow and get the box version :O. xD
Depends on whether you want the DVD or not, and any other stuff that might be in the box. Having the DVD will make re-installing the game (or indeed installing it on another machine) easier.
However if you have a DVD burner or something, you can actually make your own backup of the game files - CoH takes up about 3 gb on your hard drive, which should fit comfortably on a single DVD. Copying the directory and all the subdirectories works fine - to 'install' on a different computer, just copy the files from the DVD and run the updater.
Really, that's the main benefit of having a physical copy of the game. The disc. If that's not important to you, then just the code from an online purchase will suffice. After all, you've already got the client downloaded.
I don't think the Architect Edition box has any really nifty physical objects inside it. City of Villains came with a HeroClix figurine, but AE has nothing like that to my knowledge.

True
Bought the new edition package and got the hood+cape I wanted :P. Thanks for everything cya ingame;
Server: Freedom
IGN: Alleria Windrunner
Freedom huh? Just warning you, don't be afraid to try other servers if you want to. Freedom's got the most people, but also the worst reputation, so beware.
Just a note, the Magic Bolero in the Magic Pack is incompatible with High Collar capes, or any other back costume option (capes, wings).
Freedom's high population also means you might not be able to log into the server during periods of high activity, such as reactivation periods, new issue launches, and double XP weekends.
Of course, there's nothing stopping you from keeping your characters on Freedom, but also making alts on different servers.

Hi, Iam new to the CoX world and was wondering if female heroes are able to use hooded capes like an archer would use. Ex; Archer in lotr or something close to that. I seen that male heroes with the bonus pack get something similiar to that which is nice and all but for some reason the pack doesnt contain any hoods or high collar capes for females. I am not lvl 20 yet, but I heard that once you hit that lvl you get to do some quest which unlocks capes for your hero. Also wanted to know if there are hooded capes for your selection when you hit lvl 20 and finish the quest.
