pfft still could get a job as a third party consultant, where pepsi could pretend to call you up for assistance, thus you get paid for nothing aside from when pepsi heads to toronto, the brocode would require you to supply all the beer and tips and at least 2 lap dances at the strip club, preferably from scandinavian twins.

I don't know you, but CoH can't afford to lose any more Pep, so I hope your break isn't too long.

I mean, with my playing time way down, that leaves only Pepcat to keep things peppy around here.

Posted

i'd gladly show Pepsi around my great city of Toronto and that goes for anyone who comes to town. the beer and tips no problem as i work in the hospitality industry (when i'm employed lol) and i think i know a few twins, not all Scandinavian though, just the good parts i think we have the most strip joints in any city in North America to boot.

i tried starbucks once, ONCE as Johnny Dangerously's brother would say. but Noire being the coffee lover you are and being spoiled to Timmie's you should go to a coffee store and pick up beans from Jamaica (yes i said coffee beans not the other national product) get the "Blue Mountain Coffee" it is by far one of the best roasts i have found ffull of flavour and all that coffee goodness. it is a little pricey for some but worth every drop and cent.

While I'll agree that I'm not a fan of Starbucks, I'd take Dunkin' Donuts coffee(when it isn't burnt...mmmmm french vanilla), over Tim Horton's coffee every time.

I think it has more to do with what you are used to, and personal tastes, then which one is "better".

Posted

yes very true, its all a matter of personal taste. starbucks i found to be burnt tasting and over roasted and i do like a strong coffee and never put anything in mine, black is the only way to enjoy a coffee for its full flavor and taste imo. the other thing that pissed me off about starbucks was the snotty little girl behind the counter argueing with me when i ordered a "large" coffee and told me it was a "grande" or something like that and wouldn't take my order saying "large" coffee please. what a little beeeach lol

Starbucks tastes burnt to me, too. I like my coffee mild and with milk. As for the sizes, on those occassions I do get something from Starbucks, I just ask for "Medium, please" and haven't had a problem yet.

Posted

liek any place, it usually depends on the people working at the Starbucks. I've had some places accept either size names, others with employees that insist on the tall/grande/venti deal. Always reminds me of the Foamy rant on coffee places. Most coffee places here have employees trained to recognize either size names so customers can use whatever works for them. I think there was one pace I went to where I was talking with a friend while ordering and when asked for my order I just picked venti, out of habit, and the guy didn't know what size I was asking for. Stunned me a second before I asked for a large. heh *shurgs*
