I for one would like to see what Oranbega looked like before it sunk underground.

I actually had a dream once (before Ouroboros was announced) where somehow I gained access to the Overbrook zone prior to the Faultline incident. It was a neat zone.
EDIT:
Great. Now the topic is about CoH and the Past.

did I mention superpower powersets?

That'd be an interesting story arc for the Menders.
Save Oranbega, a few centuries before the war against Mu.
Meet and help them, knowing that one day, they will become eeeevil.
[/ QUOTE ]
If they meet and help them, before the war... they don't have to become evil. That's pretty much the premise of my alternate world.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was thinking way before the war. You save them from a totally unrelated danger.
That allow their civilization to survive and last until the war with the Mu and the demonic pact...
I have a basic thing I'd like for the future -- ability to change basic model type for different costumes, and change height slider.
I want my little girl to be able to monster out into a huge creature if I want.
"more powersets

agreed. All the focus on new content has been fantastic, but next up should be some new power options, especially for controllers/doms. (I don't mind if they involve weapons... just it's time for some more powers, especially for Controllers who haven't gotten anything new since Plant Control...).
Red Warlock
- "The Shadow Rune of the Warlocks" (Arc ID 124319).
- "The Legion of Mutants vs. The Iron Agents" (Arc ID 200364).
- "The Children of Astoria" (Arc ID 217499)
If Doms had weapon assault sets, I might actually give them a try.
Here is what I am hoping we see in the future:
- A personal nemesis system. A tailor made bad guy that levels alongside you would be such a great fit in the game that has a reputation as the most customizable MMOG out there.
- Go beyond Paragon to other locations. I always loved when the Justice League went to a foreign country and had to deal with the foreign bad guys (and good guys usually too). I think this would be a great expansion. You could use it to incorporate new cities (an Asian themed city would be great) as well as a Moon zone and an Underwater zone. I think NCSoft even has a good name for it already...
- Vehicles. Some classic superheroes have vehicles as an essential part of their identity. Batman would not be complete without the Batmobile.
- Apartments/personal superbases. Bases are so underused as it is, lets give everyone the opportunity to make a base regardless of the size of the SG they are in.
Dom definitively need a whip powerset...
I guess we can chalk this up to a lack of imagination on my part, but I just don't see why a personal nemesis system is so wonderful. OK, you get to design a custom bad guy and give him a backstory that works with your character. I get that.
But then, what, he pops up once in a while? Like instead of defeating some random boss the game slots in your custom nemesis. Anything else? We face bosses at the end of every single mission. So once in a while it's your very own boss, and by the way you know his powersets so he's even less of a surprise than any NPC boss. I just don't see what the excitement is, unless it's just a way to show off to your teammates, "Ohhh, look everyone the boss at the end of this mission is MY nemesis! Isn't he cool!"
I'm not saying the system can't work, I'm just saying it appears to be unexciting.

For a Nemesis System.
I'd prefer having several different personality archetypes to choose from, as well as several different goals.
Sure. You do upp the costume on the character. You pick the powers. But you also pick his or her agenda and basic personality. Once you've got that in place the game assigns the two functions to a grid of possible choices and loads the Nemesis with a certain career path.
As you level through the game so, too, does your Nemesis. At specific levels you have Nemesis arcs open up. Each of these arcs is unique to the combination of personality and goal, with your villains powers and character model taking the place of the 'Boss' at the end.
Therefor the only way to experience this totally unique content is to either create every possible combination of personality archetype to every possible motivation/end goal or to team with people who have different nemeses at every level of the game.
The Devs could release a new personality archetype or motivation once in a while, which expands the whole feature exponentially.
Opinions?
-Rachel-
*Edit* It should also be noted that this would basically ensure EVERY character you create has a totally new play experience as you go through unique missions that you had no opportunity to go through otherwise.
Seems interesting indeed.
Wasn't it our own Posi that initially suggested such a system? He probably have some ideas as to how he'd like it implemented...
I would think that allowing someone to build their own nemesis would open the door to people making them specifically weak in areas their toons was strong on. Every time you met him or her, you'd wipe the floor with him or her and get cheap and easy XP/drops. Farming in other words. It'll be interesting to see if CO suffers this.
I could definitely see people doing that.... Yeah. Players setting their AV foe up as being Fire/Invuln while they're Fire/Fire?
Or even Fire Blast/Fire Melee, so they can't defend themselves.
Though, alternatively, the Devs -could- set up a blocking system so that you -can't- make a foe especially weak to your own abilities. Like locking out fire sets to Nemeses of Fire Armor/Fire Melee characters?
It'd limit their abilities a bit, but it would still open the door to -tons- of new, interesting, and challenging content.

6. Objective based pvp (capture the flag, king of the hill/something other than "I killed you...hooray..." pvp).

This would probably get more interested in PvP, especially some the slower reflexed and older players, not to mention those with older, slower systems.

AI Revamp. Make enemies smarter.
No more of this silly, Blow up mob 1 with mob 2 standing 20 feet away and doesnt notice you.
AVs make decisions based on more factors. For example, AVs should be smart enough to know to take out the debuffer first. (If implemented, AVs might have to be made weaker though.)
More chasers. i.e. they chase you if you are hurt.
Make environment a tool for players. For example, if I stand behind a box, I get a little extra ranged defense. If I am elevated on a platform I get a little extra +dmg. Up against a wall during some melee damage? A little extra +res.
More creative ways to defect enemies. Like you have to knock them into a deep pit three times or something.
Something like a Galactus event would be neato.
Make clothing and armor matter. Examples:
Wearing Light clothing? A little extra +def but more susceptible to debuff.
Wearing Heavy armor? A little extra + res but slowed a bit.
Big spikes on your shoulders? A chance for minor lethal damage against targets within 5 feet. Trade off is a bit of end cost when the damage triggers.
Of course, wed have to make this option turn-off-able for those who do not want clothing to matter.
Tradable powers. i.e. I could trade Time Bomb for a power from a list of developer pre-tested / pre-approved powers.
Craft-able specialty inspirations. Imagine being able to craft a single inspiration that gives you +dmg AND +acc.
More drama within new content

+1 for the EU!!!!
Now for the future my main feature i'ld like to be added is oh i dont know lets think . . . . . . . .
Having a single zone that is entirely destructable! Would just be fun!
Oh and also having the ability to combine travel powers. Superspeed + fly anyone?

Revamped AI is very, very tricky. How much more challenge is too much? For example, it'd be most effective for mobs to always concentrate all firepower on a single player. Knock him out, then switch to a second player. Wash, rinse repeat. How would you feel if you were the Emp on a team and every single group tried to kill you straight away? Or if the AI had a rule that said "always target the most damaged player". Again, quite sensible if you're rooting for the AI but I guarantee players would hate that. Less drastic changes could work, like have a 10% chance that an LT in a group will try to run to an adjacent group for help (i.e. chain aggro).
I could see having more sophisticated AI in the often-discussed future space zone that's intended to be a place for level 50s only. If they combine that with the Universal Enhancement Slots concept that was outlined in last August's leaked player survey, it would make sense to have enemies that are more challenging than what you faced earlier in your career.

No way. This isn't WOW. I don't want the game to have +5 Helmet of Awesomeness. In those other games, powers come from equipment. Here powers are completely separate. I'd like to keep it that way.
I would like to see more prestige costumes. Like the ability to unlock costume parts that could have built in glow like the glow points in Arachnos soldier costumes. But that's eye candy, not buffs.

I think that the Praetorian story lines and the fact that they have to come up with stories that justify switching from good to evil or vice versa pretty much guarantee that Going Rogue is going to have plenty in the way of drama.

Here's an idea I've been kicking around; have the servers treated more like alternate universes. You allow a sort of temporary server transfer by going through a portal; you still have a home server, with your SG and where you log into the next day, but you can step from Virtue to, say Justice and be known as "Swiftslash of Virtue" or whatever ( to avoid the name duplication problem ).
Besides letting people play with their friends or on high pop/low pop servers at whim, this would allow the servers to be made different from each other without locking people on other servers out of the content. Boomtown is renovated on half the servers; not on the other half. The Rikti bomb Steel Canyon partly to rubble on Virtue ( the buildings not used for missions and such get replaced with craters and wreckage ); it gets permanently snowed in by the Winter Lord over on Champion; it stays the same over on Guardian; and over on Infinity the Outcasts get new uniforms.
