Because if they'd actually hire me, I wouldn't do only trailers - I'd also do stuff like "Meet the [fill-in-the-archetype]", promote in-game events (Valentine's Day, Halloween, Winter event, and so on), features on in-game stuff like the Task/Strike Forces, and so on.

Hell, I could do a commercial that would make the Positron Task Force look good.

And before I completely forget my manners, thank you to everyone in this thread who enjoys my videos. I love making them. If anything were going to bring me out of retirement, it's you guys and knowing that you like my work.

Hmmm - perhaps "I am skilled enough to make the Positron Task Force look good" would be better. That would neatly avoid the ethical question of whether you should do such a thing.

This video was pretty good with all the people on screen, it's not a bad video at all. It's just that Samuraiko upstaged ya weeks ago.

Strictly speaking it was ten days.

And to be fair, since they were including the stuff from the day of the anniversary, the Paragon Studios videographer and his team would have to have been up all night to get it done even by the next day. Not to mention God knows how much footage they must have shot over the course of the day that they'd have to sift through to get good segments...

Not a bad vid, but seems awful short for celebrating 5 years. To me a true vid to celebrate surviving 5 years in the MMO wars would be five minutes long with each minute containing footage from each year of the game. The first minute would use footage from the first year of CoH and the second with CoV and so on, it would show how the game has evolved over the years, then maybe show some of the party stuff instead of just showing off the PD party.

Another thing that would have helped greatly would have been the appearance of any of my characters, would have given the vid some real class.

The "official" video was okay. But it wasn't great. It was nice to see some of the anniversary activities such as the monsters appearing, as well as see War Witch and Positron and others having fun. BTW, Posi, a word of advice... that Bridal tux does not go well with your containment armor.

Dark Respite/Samuraiko/Michelle's video, on the other hand, was MUCH better. It helped celebrate the City of Heroes by going over some of the monumental events, including the ones that got us here.

A much better way to remember five years would have been something along the lines of this earlier video that DR made.

Countdown To The Future

Now something like that combined with the festivities of the 5th Year Anniversary would have made it a GREAT video.
