I saw WOLVERINE!!!
I read reviews and stuff, but I have a [censored] filter which allows me to ignore other people's opinions. I get to enjoy the movie based on my expectations and criteria.
I've seen a lot of movies that I enjoyed because of this despite other people's crazy nitpicks. Of course, I've also not liked certain movies despite everyone else raving. (I'm looking at you, Transformers.)

My [censored] filter works about as well as anyone else's, but it seems to fizzle out when it comes to movies. Reading comic fan sites the past few years may have twisted my brain into "drinking the cool-aid" and compelled me to identify with the masses of comic book fanboys. Right now, I'm inducing vomiting in an effort to rid myself of said cool-aid, enabling me to form MY OWN opinions.
*WRETCH*.....that DOES feel better! That being said....I DECLARE THAT SUPERMAN RETURNS WAS A GOOD MOVIE!!!
UPDATED!! Apparently, I'm in good company with my love for Superman Returns!!
Hell, I thought Daredevil was great. Yeah, I said it.
I think most people are just afraid that if they admit they like a movie that everyone else said sucked that they'll be chastized as a heretic.
that being said I have rather low movie standards and usually like movies that other people don't soo....

Thunder is good, thunder is impressive, but lightning does the work.
I want to see Wolverine . . . damn Az being slow on movie releasing and all . . . as for the first 3 X-Men movies, I liked them well enough. Now Foo, I agree with you on Transformers, was SOOOO not what I expected, but I did enjoy it (seen it at the drive in, HUGE SCREEN FTW ) after seeing it a second time and knowing what to expect.
As for Daredevil, to this day I have not seen it. . . . . not sure I ever will, since I didn't keep up with it I would be a bit lost on the story.
Back to my horror films now

Daredevil was better than most people give it credit for.
That still doesn't put it in the "great" category. "Great" is reserved for Iron Man or Spiderman or X-Men 2 or Nolan's Batman movies. Daredevil was "okay".
Transformers was "okay" too, but it was also more "fun" than Daredevil was.

I really liked Daredevil too! I have the DIRECTOR'S CUT which is supposed to be the DEFINATIVE Daredevil...but I have yet to actually watch THAT version. It's still in the wrapper! LOL!
There aren't many movies that I don't like. Hoping that I like Wolverine, but the fact that Hugh Jackman is shirtless half the time makes me want to see it really bad.
Does that make me shallow?

You're not shallow. Does it make me a bad person for thinking you asked "Does that me SWALLOW"?

Transformers was a visual blender and I couldn't tell the robots apart. Also, it was filled with stupid and I wanted to excise entire subplots due to copious amounts of retard.

I was soooo on the fence with that movie.
It had things I dug hugely - (Kingpin, a lot of the fight scenes) and things that felt "meh" (Some of the love story stuff)
I definitely enjoyed it overall though.
I mean I won't put it near the top of my list; but it's definitely not the worst movie I've ever seen by a long shot.

Daredevil the Director's Cut wasn't too bad, fleshed out Matt a bit more.
Saw Wolverine, in person! as well as Deadpool, Sabretooth, Silverfox, Gambit and Wraith, at the World Premiere. Oh yeah, saw the movie afterwards too. heh

TOTALLY agree with you on Transformers. They all looked alike when they were fighting! However, I likes me some Meghan Fox! Yowza!!!!
Lucky guy! That was awesome! Thanks for sharing the pics!
I went and saw it at a cheap showing the first morning. I liked it quite a bit. Its not a classic summer blockbuster - there's no saving the world involved. Instead it's quite personal and almost startlingly intimate. Given how most comic book movies go, I'm sure that threw a lot of folks with mismatched expectations. In my case is was clearly deeply influenced by the one and only Wolverine comic I really really liked (issue #10 or so? His birthday in Madirpoor with Sabertooth in town?)
I also liked the Daredevil movie quite a bit. It's not always necessary to do an origin movie - that Daredevil was a well estalished veteran and quite comfortable with his own quirks and damage. While Spidey 2 is probably my favorite of this generation of comic movies (narrowly beating Batman Begins), Daredevil remains highly watchable for me.
Gambit did use his powers to spectacular effect! He needs to work on his cajun accent though.
That's a cool comic. Actually, Sabertooth has always found someway to track Logan down on his birthday and attempt to kill him. It's an annual thing that's gone on for a number of years. Sabertooth is such a jerk.

The directors cut of Daredevil is far superior to the theatrical version. It ties the story together nicely and makes it flow a little better. It's still no Iron Man or Dark Knight but the directors cut has definitely smoothed out some of the rough edges.

Wait....
Someone is saying Wolverine was bad? Was it?
I got to see it the night it came out and before hearing anything about it. I never read or go by the crits anyways, but i enjoyed the movie. I was questioning the need to edit it for a PG 13 rating though. I totally expected it to be rated R. They make him way too tame but i did think they did a good job with it.
Just finally being able to see Gambit was worth it all. Though his accent needed to be a bit thicker. Overall it was fun. I loved the idea of Weapon 11 at the end. I could nitpick it to death too but when you place it next to the xmen movies it blended well and they went together.
All in all i give it a B.
Also.....Dardevil did suck lol.
