I personally don't have a problem with any of it, but I do find it a bit odd my character can't say "I guess I'll have to nip this in the bud." But, I can say "I guess I'll have to breast this in the bud."
Honestly, it all serves a purpose and they've done an amicable job handling it.

The filter has far greater issues than words it interprets as vulgar. You can't even refer to certain enemy groups by name (Cabal for one).

Given how easy it is to use l33t talk and other tactics to circumvent the filter, I still fail to see why it's not set to only filter out the traditional profane words.
While building one of my missions, I found out the term 'Jester' is considered either profane or a copyright violation. WTF? I changed it to 'Clown' just to be on the safe side....

According to the filter word "God" is either profanity or copyrighted.
....So which one is it, so I know for future reference before writing such atrocious words.

Appearantly the filter has been modified now and you CAN use the blasphemous G-word without lights going red. Last time I tried it wouldn't let me use it in NPC dialog boxes.
I got hit with the profanity filter today too and invalidated my Arc. Its a good thing someone told me otherwise I would have never known.

I put a refernce to [censored] Sapiens in one omy arcs' text and the filter advised that it was profane.
But if [censored] Sapiens is profane...then aren't we all profane? Isn't, then, the profanity filter an indictment of the totality of humankind, human culture, and human accomplishment ?!?

I had the exact same phrase, "to the naked eye".
I had to change it to "to the untrained eye", which thankfully made sense, given it is a reference to a giant, evil, invisible tower outside the city that you have to be magically inclined to see (check my sig for video).
