But you don't have access to Pay With Paypal while you have a billing system set up.

Gadget Don, I do believe you are on to something with your statement. You would need to cancel your current method of billing in order to engage in PayPal. Then you would need to reinstate said billing again for it to resume normal behavior.

That should sum up the last two posts since my billing clarity post.

I think I'll switch to the 6 month cycle. I'm doing monthly now on 3 accounts. Less per month plus one free adds up.

I would really love to take advantage of this offer, for both my own account & my partner's account. I have the cash in my hot little hand, ready to pay for it.

Oh... wait... I can't find a shop that sells PlayNC time cards (nor city of heroes time cards, nor city of villains, nor auto assault).

My account expires in a month.
My partners account expired in October.

And we BOTH want to play.
And I have cash.

I just need a shop here in Australia, that will actually *SELL* me the time cards. But there are none, they have all discontinued your time cards.

Please take note that I cannot pay by credit card.
I will repeat that i have CASH (the stuff accepted at all stores).
And that I am desperate to renew my partners account, and pay my own account, both with the 12 month plan.

Except I can't, as I cannot find a shop that sells your timecards.
Guess I won't be renewing then.
And no, you cannot have my stuff :P

I had another post somewhere, but that thread appears to have been purged.

Oooh and also I sent a PM to Lighthouse (who resigned a couple days later), and also to Ex Libris.

I have had 0 replies.


And they are still listing incorrect information here -&gt; International Game Time Card Retailers
As I have said before hand, which fell repeatedly on DEAF EARS, I repeat yet again -- EB games do NOT stock time cards for PlayNC. They advised me, they have DISCONTINUED them.

And QV software (who are a distributor, NOT a shop) have been unable to give me a supplier who sells them. They do have LOTS of suppliers (who I made many phone calls to), and NOT one, NO supplier stocks the time cards.

So in summary -- I don't think there is a single store in Australia where I can walk in, and purchase a time card with cash. That's just great business right there (sarcasm). Especially with the recession spreading like the plague across the planet.

Am I supposed to cry, or spout profanity, or strip off naked, or break a million forum rules, or kidnap positron to get any attention whatsoever to this issue? Or is this just a trivial matter that can be ignored? I never thought I'd see the day where a business won't accept cash for their product, this is just dumbfounding. And I have been asking for help, back in October for crying out loud, and have had ZERO response from PlayNC.

Dammit now I am being incredibly negative &amp; am pissed off.
Grumble. Sorry guys, but how am I supposed to feel about this? Guess I'll go put my rose coloured glasses back on &amp; use wishful thinking to hope they restock the cards some day.

I'll end on a positive note. I do like this bonus offer, that at least is a very good thing.

CaffeineAddict, two options.

First, can you get a paypal account? If so, you can pay with that.

If not, can you find a store that sells Visa or Mastercard Gift Cards? If so, buy one and put the cash into it for that amount, and use the gift card.

Third option, do you have a trusted friend a credit card or debit card or Paypal, who you can give the cash to and your trusted friend can pay?

Why in the world does anyone think that this game will vanish? Seriously. It's still got no competition - and won't for at LEAST another full year.

It's a solid successful game, it's got plenty of funds and people being put into it, and note well that other games NC has tried to produce HAVE failed. They know perfectly well that this game has a good solid player base- a base actually willing to try out their other games, and remaining less impressed with those others, come back to this one.

two reasons
1. They have had other competition but not from hero mmos
2. ITS MY MONEY i like knowing if money coming back in case it happens ( you never know recession could get worse or something else)

No one gives money back on mmo's. That's kind of a stretch to presume anyone would.

Here's my best guess...If CoH closes down but NCSoft lives, you'll be given a free account and some free time on another MMO of theirs, but no money back. If NCSoft goes under, nothing. Of course, my real best guess is that even if CoH does get in trouble, it's got another year in it (and probably much longer), so you'll get your full time.

And that's all your going to get, speculation from other users. Why? Because if anyone official from NCSoft or NCNC (yeah, you guys do need a new name) made any reply about "this is what we'd do", all the gamer sites would run a story about "NCSoft talks about shutting down City of Heroes". So if that's not good enough...stay on month by month and don't take advantage of the promotion.
