Rereturn of the Leviathan Guild
Some ooc notes:
I'd really prefer to finish the Posi tonight. And I'm nearing the level cap for it, so most of the rest of you are, too. Therefore, we should try stealthing when we can, though the use of sprint and invisibility and our best mob avoidance.
As previously noted, there will be no theme team next Tuesday. We will resume as normal on Thursday.
That's all, see you in an hour.
So noted. I'm not sure where to sprint invisibly to though, so I'll just follow patches.
Paragon Unleashed, Unleash Yourself!
From the diary of Countess Clink Clank
Tonight we finished a rather tedious set of tasks for Positron. While I still admire the ingenuity of his armor, the nature of some of the quests we were sent on grates. But no matter, it is a thing of the past. As are all of we here at the Leviathan Guild...
Enough melancholy! We continue to regain our old powers and develop new ones. In none of this is it more readily apparent than in Lotus Cri or in the Baronne, who begins to hear voices again, leading us in the end to Faultine, were we will meet again and see what mysteries lie there. Patches too remains a powerhouse, and Aluriel is quickly becoming the fearsome creature she once was. The Professor and Civil Twilight also begin to show greater might, and the Professor's wit remains as sharp as it ever was. And my mastery of gadgets continues to grow, allowing me to better aid my team.

OOC Notes:
-No LG next Tuesday, I'll be watching the inauguration
-Yes LG next Thursday, we'll start the Faultline arcs
-If those arcs take us all the way to 20, we'll continue to do them before heading to either Striga or Croatoa
-If they do not, we will access where we are and either do the next Safeguard mission or the Synapse TF, which is one of the better ones in the game
-Speaking of TFs, once we've outleveled something, by all means, go ahead and run it as much as you want. But for the TFs we miss, once we get much higher level, at least 40, we'll go ahead and take a bit of a vacation and run the missed Freedom Phalanx TFs.
-At this point, any Warrior from a Lost Civilization who wanted to join us will need to be our rescue party, sent after our disappearance. And they need to be the same level as we are or exemp down, and the same time commitments apply
Remember, no team tonight. I'd hate for everyone else to log in but me and stand around doing the waiting emote before remembering.
Tonight we start the Faultline arcs. We'll see what level we're at when we finish the arcs. If we're at 18 when we finish, I'd love to show off the Synapse TF. If we're higher, we may radio then safeguard before moving on to the rest of the arc at 20 and then to IP.
See you tonight.
Oh! It's stormy here. If I'm not on in time, it means we lost power or delayed on the road, and you should start without me.
From the Adventure Diary of the Countess Clink Clank
Tonight we spent some time in Faultine. The engineering behind their dams is amazing, almost beyond belief. I was already impressed with their technological acuem, these future Americans, but to discover their engineering is on par simply took my breath away. Once our adventure is finished, I hope to spend more time at their universities and expand my own knowledge and skills.
We began our adventure a member short. We have not heard from Civil Twilight and our luck being what it sometimes is, I worry he's being held captive somewhere or some equally dire fate. Or he merely became engrossed in a novel and lost track of time.
Our first few missions were most enlightening. We rescued a young, inexperienced heroine, who styled herself "Fushionette." It was not until we met her mentor later, a Doctor Delilah, that I could see where she learned her rather juggernaught style; both women were hazards to themselves and to us, and only occasionally to our advesaries. We also encountered an 'Arbitar' for the first time. At first we took him for another type of bobby, but it appears his faction is not in favor, nor even located here in Paragon City.
It was also an evening of oddities. I would swear we completed identical adventures multiple times and perhaps this is even the case; as evidenced by our very presence here, it's no suprise the temporal stream is unstable.
And speaking of instability, the Professor shocked us all when he spoke in a tone not his own, something else about the timestream. I suspect possession, but we have not yet the time to diagnosis. Possession of a member of the Guild has happend before.
But we ended on a high note, rescuing the shopkeeper Mr. Yin and earning his gratitude. I, for one, would like the gratitude of his daughter, for she seems to have control over some of the marvelous clanks we have fought and I admired.
I'm soooo sorry i couldn't make it (and didn't let you know)
Some things came up :/ and no it wasn't a novel, if you must know my name is based off a song
No big deal, things happen. Warning in advance is nice, but it's not like you can't catch up.
We just finished Yin's arc in Faultline and are levels 18-19 (I forget which, really) if you were wanting to catch up before Tuesday.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Tonight's plan:
Go to Skyway City. Run scanner missions and a mayhem. Run the cape mission. Run the tailor mission. Head to Striga, run some arcs there. Eventually run the Moonfire TF, although that's probably not until Thursday.
Memo from Lotus Cri:
I regret to inform you that I will not be able to start our missions at first tonight. I am in the middle of an incantation called Tempris Rapidis, and it will require my full attention until it's completion.
I will however catch up with you all tonight as soon as I have completed this task. (around 9:30-10:00 pm EST)
With this in mind I hope no large lengthy task (ie.. task force) is started as once you do I would not be able to help.
Once my task is completed it is my understanding that a new ability would come to me. It has something to do with speeding things up if I am translating this correctly. Hope everything goes well with this, and hope you all are safe. I will come to you all when you need me the most.
Lotis Cri
We're not going to finish the Faultline arcs post-20? We haven't even met the third AV yet...
Oh well, more mission to drop along with Sunstorm's. Go, stealth merits!
Statesmonkey Sez: Lighten up! It's a game, for Lincoln's sake!
Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.
Yes, I thought of Faultline later. It's been a VERY bonkers day for me.
Plan B: Skyway to Faultline to Striga (which is level 20+ anyhow).
From the Adventure Log of Countess Clink Clank
Today's adventures were odd ones. We started out by returning to Skyway City, were we used the police scanner to fight the trolls and the ever-repugnant Council before stopping a bank robbery; I think the bankers here must not spend much on security for the frequency with which those events occur. The conversation was especially entertaining, however:
-I shared part of my secret cake recipe, starting with building a mechanical whisking apparatus
-Patches discovered the young heroine "Mynx," who IS, in fact, a "kitty"
-We discussed past and present inventions of mine, including my most recent which blew me up. I'm happy to report the mobs were more distressed by it than I, although I did lose consciousness at the end. Almost everyone else declined to have me show it how it was done.
But most notably of all, the Professor seems to be, as we suspected, possessed! Tonight he transformed into a glowing, crab-looking MONSTER, proclaiming its freedom. The Baronne and Civil Twilight promptly hit him upside the head, but to no avail. So we hied ourselves off to the University in Steel Canyon to meet with a mysterious fellow named Montague who we hoped could help, but instead, he asked for ours!
We spent the rest of the evening fighting the Lost and a new foe, the Rikti, whom I at first thought were fey but instead seem something... other. But vile. And at the end, help arrived, in the form of a golumn whom the Professor had met, who offered some insights into the Professors condition, although a pressing (literally) need to repair my armor prevented me from hearing all of it.
I believe for our next adventure, we'll finish helping the man at the University before returning to Faultine to help the suicidal Doc Delilah.

OOC:
I giggled a lot this time around. Professor, it's wonderful.
Since Siolfir and Gol aren't going to be available on 2/10/2009 I thought we could do one of two things: Cancel or run the Synapse TF (levels 15-20). My preference is for the Synapse, we could easily do it within two hours, but I'd like your thoughts on the matter.
I'm up for Synapse as well. Don't know what I'm doing with my merits yet, but more is good.

I'm particularly looking forward to Blood Spectre seeing the TF for the first time.
Report from Judah Maccabee, aka the Hasidic Hammer
To: my new acquaintances, the Leviathan Guild
Re: Professor Emile Candelabra, possession of same
I regret to inform you that I can find no evidence of arcane possession in your Professor. I escorted him to MAGI, the Modern Arcane Guild of Investigation, where several of their mystics investigated his condition. They were unanimous in their analysis: there is no magic whatsoever to be found in your man. They were also unable to force any sort of transformation via magic.
Their telepath did, however, detect a fully-formed, secondary thought pattern. (I do not know if the word was in wide use in your day, but a telepath is a person who can read the thoughts of others) She noted that she could make little to no sense of these other thoughts; they were quite alien to her.
This could be evidence of a schizoid break, which is a form of insanity in which the sufferer displays multiple personalities. It may also result from some other form of injury to the mind. The examiners at MAGI could not say. They are adept at dealing with mental abilities, but not mental disorders stemming from mundane causes.
From your descriptions of the Professor's changing, it appears that some sort of mental break triggers it. Unconsciousness, dazing, or some other such mind-numbing affect seems likely to bring it about. The researchers at MAGI were unwilling to risk further damage by assaulting his mind, so you may be forced to rely on field testing to ascertain the truth.
The one bright spot I have to offer you is this: Azuria, one of MAGI's primary diviners, told me that you should speak with a woman that resides on Striga Isle known as Moonfire. She said that Moonfire could explain whatever ails your Professor, if you could gain her trust.
Personal Addendum
Both myself and the staff at MAGI are fascinated by your Guild and its appearance here in our time and city. While the details of the founding of MAGI remain a federal secret, it appears to me to be a direct successor to your own organization, established by the US government to fill the void of your departure. Some at MAGI agree with me, and they have arranged to extend to each of your members a line of credit while you reside in town. This should help you offset expenses and acclimatize yourselves more easily. If any of you need any help whatsoever, please contact me or any other of MAGI's agents. We look forward to reading your reports.
Sincerely,
Judah Maccabee

I am good with anything we do, I would like to run any TF on hero side that we can only because i have not run many. Just let me know, and sign me up
From the Adventure Log of Countess Clink Clank:
Tonight we discovered a cure for the Lost! Perhaps this is what we were sent to the future to do!
We then returned to Faultline to assist the Doctor there and did a service for a tailor in Steel Canyon. As I came out in my fashionable new armor, imagine my surprise to see airships! And Rikti! I hurried to where the rest of the heroes were to assist, cursing the circumstances which has disbanded the Guild for evening, that they were not by my side. Eventually, we repelled the invaders.
Since we're starting with the Cape mission on Tuesday and it's a series of "go chat with" missions prior to the door mission - which we all have to run around for anyway - my recommendation is that if you have some free time over the weekend just go ahead and get to the last part of it to make it a little easier to fit the rest of the Faultline arc in the window for Tuesday, then we can start on Moonfire as soon as we get together next Thursday.

From the diary of Countess Clink Clank
Tonight we experimented more with the new technology of the police scanner to fight some more of the abomidations the Baronne says are not true zombies and also a misanthropic group of men in uniforms I later found out were "Council." Researching a bit of their doctorine at the university, I was quite repulsed. From there we spoke with another constable and were sent to stop a bank robbery, at which we suceeded with the greatest of ease.
From there we went to Steel Canyon, to meet with a man in a QUITE fetching suit of armor about a special series of missions. We eventually got the Professor away from the heroine Valkyre, which whom he was attempting to flirt (and with limited sucess, I might add, perhaps she knows Miss Liberty?), and went off at the bequest of Positron. We fought yet more false undead, some more the clever clanks known as clockwork, and some false fallen for whom Aluriel expressed the unmost contempt.
Our powers continue to grow. Lotus Cri in particular has regained a most useful power, to hide us all in plain sight, to render us invisible. Soon we will resume the fight, perhaps employing more stealth as a tactic, and finish the series for Positron.
I must ask him more about his armor.
