Rereturn of the Leviathan Guild
Sign me up as the exotic foreigner. I made a Dark/Dark Tanker for that role, and I still have her on Gaurdian. I cant remember her name just now though.
Paragon Unleashed, Unleash Yourself!
Yes, I have to log-on tomorrow and get the name and build of who I made. And her backstory.
Patches!
He still exists on Guardian

Professor Fantomas
The greatest hypnotist and conjurer of the 19th century, the world renowned Professor Fantomas, reigned supreme for years in Britain, France and Germany in the domain of higher magic. There was scarcely a European court where he was not a welcome guest.
Fantomas was born in Cardiff, Wales on January 23, 1816. Then known as Madoc Pengrek, he was the son of a traveling slight of hand performer and con artist. At an early age he enlisted on a ship and journeyed the Far East. Little is known of his time spent in the East. Those brave or foolish enough to ask the Professor of his time in the East are given quizzical, preposterous, or contradictory answers. There is verifiable evidence that a young teenaged boy acted as an apprentice for the preeminent Chinese mystic, Chung Ling Soo, at a funeral for the infant son of the seventh emperor of the Manchu Qing dynasty; there is no hard evidence the boy was Fantomas despite it being a common assumption.
In the year 1848, Professor Fantomas, began his professional tours of prestidigitation and traveled throughout the world reaping both fame and fortune. His performances were filled with conjurations and mesmerism no other European illusionist could reproduce.
In 1851, Fantomas performed his most daring spectacle, the theft of the Kohinoor diamond from the Crystal Palace at the Great Exhibition. Before a gathered crowd, the Professor mesmerized the armed guards specifically picked by her majesty, Queen Victoria. Without a shot fired, Fantomas plucked the diamond from it case, to the frenzied applause to the gathered crowd.
This audacious feat brought Fantomas to the attention of the Leviathan Guild, where he was brought into the operation to use his mastery of the mental arts in the name of Her Majesty.

Unfortunately, RL is grabbing me now. New wee Troll is due around Valentine's day and I know that I'll end up spacing out or missing time. So, I shall bow out and leave the Master of the Occult position open.
We'll miss you, Troll. Maybe you can sneak on sometimes and join us. Or be my global friend and team on other events!
I really do wish I could play. With the suit jacket costume changes, I could do a much better job at his outfit.
There will be other theme teams. The next one will be a villaious one, and I'll hold a spot just for you. Look for it in the summer.

There you go again, using logic on her.
You know how she feels about that...
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Does this mean the Refugee team on Infinity is going kaput?
Amazingly, my sole character on Guardian fits the theme. I have a jewish occult investigator who's acquired the powers of the Golem. He's in the low 20s, levelwise, not sure exactly what any more. It's been a while since I played him, but if the refugee team is breaking up, I'll be happy to switch over and exemplar down.
Oh, and he's a stone/stone tank, so nyah.

Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.
Looks like that brings us up to a total of 3 Tankers. I'll admit that I dont know as much about Hero side team dynamics as I do about villain side (such as they are), but it seems like we'd be tripping over eachother trying to hold aggro.
All those months ago when I made Barronne she was the right pick for the team as a Tank, and I was kind of curious to see what Cloak of Fear was like as a tanking tool. It looks like we're clogged on tanks now though.
But her concept works just as well as a Dark/Dark Defender or Scrapper. Anybody mind if I re-roll her as a Defender before we start? And nobody has to feel like they are "forcing" me to re-roll. I like trying new classes, and I'm happy to do it.

Not until January... it was always supposed to be a time filler until this team started up, and something that I wanted to do at some point. This upcoming Tuesday we can do a respec trial and if someone else has any ideas for the folllowing week feel free to suggest them over there.
And Blood_Spectre, if you'd like to reroll feel free. Nobody's locked into anything yet, although the only real problem I can see with 3 Tankers on the team is that Aluriel isn't going to die quite as often for using Blazing Aura. Well, okay, and maybe a bit less damage.

Please make a new character which fits with the theme and follows the two powerset requests I made if you want to join us. And if I read correctly in the other thread, you can't commit to the team on Thursdays unless you miss half of the session?
Aloha Guys..
I was one of the people that had wanted to board for the trip back in time, however with the change in date im going to have to bow out. Tue/Thur nights will be spent on the Ski slopes with my kids.
Best of luck to you all in your time travels...

No, just about 10 minutes or so, on some Thursdays. Scout meetings are over at 9 pm and they're only 5 minutes away. Also, we don't attend every meeting. It shouldn't be an issue.
As for characters, yeah, The Hasidic Hammer doesn't really fit. You don't need 3 tanks, and I'd have to re-work his origin a bunch. It's currently pretty tied-in to modern Paragon City's background. Plus, this way he'll stay in the SG he's already in, and my buddy will appreciate that.
Looking at what you've got so far, I'll take up the role of foreign, dubiously sane scientist. Professor Candelabra has pierced zee aether and infused moiself with zee light of zee BEYOND! Ahh, zee zhings ah have seen! Glorious!
Prof. Candelabra is a peacebringer, who will bring plenty of blasty goodness to a team that will already grant him a 30% damage bonus. If they don't get this toggle issue fixed, I'll keep him in human form. If quick toggling become possible again, then he'll get weird fast.

Sound good to me. I hope your character keeps the accent, too.
Okay then, I'll stay with the Dark/Dark Tank. I'll even see if I can cultivate a Haitian accent for the Baronne.
Looking forward to this.

Hello Guardian:
Several months ago, I posted here to meet new people and recruit for a new theme team, the Leviathan Guild. Then real life came along and kicked me in the teeth and I had to take a break from the game itself, which of course prevented me from running the team. And the forums ate my original post, including most of the sign-up list, and I also know circumstances have changed for other members. I remember Troll signed up, and I know what Siolfir and Golgathon chose, but everything else was lost. If you signed up before, please mention that in your post, to get priority for your spot. And if you signed up before and cant play now, 5 months later, please let me know that, too, either here or in a PM.
Best wishes,
Textilain

The Concept
The Leviathan Guild was Victorian England's premier investigators into inexplicable incidents, an elite team endorsed, however covertly, by the crown, made up on England and her allies finest. Tinkers, scientists, masters of the occult, warriors, their abilities were well respected. But while investigating a mysterious occurrence in the abandoned aqueducts under Bath, the Guild's finest team disappeared. In their absence, the guild all but disappeared, only one mysterious soul remaining. Consulting the auguries, he saw they were to reappear over a centaury in the future and a continent away. When the team reappears, he will be there to assist them, with the possible aid of their allies descendents.
Now the transplanted members must struggle to adjust to this new world, reestablish the Guild, and regain some of the powers they seem to have lost along the way.

Real World Details
This theme team will run on the Guardian Server, heroes, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 -8 pm Pacific Time, starting January 6, 2009. We will be running story arcs, each person picking the same arc and using the complete same feature. We will also run task forces as we come into range. Ill post each week what the plan is. It will run until the original members are level 50 or we all lose interest.
The team will consist of eight members, each one picking a Victorian concept, either from the list below or by PMing me with your own idea. First come, first served on the concepts, as Id prefer to see one of each kind rather than duplicates. Please also decided with AT and powerset you feel best suits the concept. Im not interested in seeing empathy and Im wary of stone for tankers, since I believe they are both overdone and this group will steamroll without them. We will be roleplaying.
Team characters are welcome to join the Leviathan Guild SG.
