Please use this thread to discuss the below announcement

Palit and AMD have partnered with City of Heroes® to offer the "Create a Character" Costume Contest! Now through October 17th players can submit screenshots and bio of their character and be entered into the contest to win great prizes, including award winning Palit video cards and the grand prize of Custom Gaming PC!

Additionally, players on the North American servers will be able to participate inside the virtual City of Heroes world to win prizes during an in game event.

Wait.... one of the criteria is "quality of screenshots" and the other is "800x600 resolution".

I run my game in 1680x1050. Translating that to 800x600 loses almost everything worth having it in that resolution to begin with... o.o

Not to worry, I had to read it twice to catch that part too.

I may have to give this a shot myself. Kinda getting tired of beating my computer into submission, so it'd be nice if somebody gave me a shiny new one

All attachments must be in 800x600 resolution [u]or better[u]

Interesting contest, although highly dissapointed in the lack of the regular dress up costume contest. Please don't tell me there won't be one this year just because you're having one at Hero con.

Can we have a real Halloween costume contest please?

I love living outside the US. I'd completely enter in Flea just because his costume seems to have become....I don't know, a given thing for him. But being outside the US means that this ain't happening. Ah well.

My issue is the screenshot of the In-game Bio. Mine tend to run long and I have to scroll down to see the whole thing. How can I get it all in one screenshot?

Hell, I would think that if you could come up with a good 800x600 image of a character that doesn't suck, you DESERVE the better video card right there

By clicking "view character info" not "ID". The character info screen is the one which people can view by right-clicking in the game. It includes your badges, build, etc. You can extend that both directions, so you can easily see the whole thing.

A brand new computer... Huh, well what do you know, I'm in the market for a free computer. I got 16 days to make the best character I have ever made... Dang, I wish I didn't have a creativity block right now.
