If I could figure out how to customize the message center like they were going on about (and not just by making folders), I would be happier with it. Are there instructions somewhere? All I see anywhere is "Oh... it does this, this, AND this!!!! Powerfully!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" but not how to do those things.
Also, the front page is horrid. Just horrid.
It's very Web 2.0ish, but as a casual browser of DA I'm finding it to be alright. The customizing your toolbar thing is a neat gimmick for a couple of minutes. The search seems to be reasonably accurate and fast. I made the bottom panel disappear first thing because it was big and distracting.
FYI, there's a poll on that bottom panel where you can give multiple-choice feedback about the new system.
Yes unfortunately there is not a voting choice of 'I really dislike v6 lets go back to v5!'

I just hate the way it organizes new items (deviations in particular!) I want my PAGE back! not just a banner at the top with only five deviations in!! I paid for 120 deviations on a page, and I'm back to 5???

Well you can hit 'more' and display more at a time. There is also 'next page' so if you're like me and have:
Deviant *Rowrsie | Subscribed | 23,523 Deviations, 7,720 Messages
You can go through each 'page' of however many. But yeah I rather have my 100 to a page too.

In the lower right-hand corner of the Search Results panel, there's a layout chooser labeled 24, 60, and 120. I'm not a subscriber and so can't test it, but I assume that will do what you're talking about. Sounds like it's maybe just been put in a different place than it used to be.

Yeah, that's my problem, too. From what they were saying, this should be customizable, but I can't figure how at all. The only customizable message thing is the folders (or just turning things off). I HATE the order they put the message page in. HATE IT.

This bugs me too. Gots not problem with NSFW.... I would just like to choose the option....
Well I would rather have deviations on a completely separate page so they don't even come up -at all- if I dont' want to look at them.
Or failing that, if when I set it to 'list view' instead of thumbnail view, that that setting would actually STICK and not go back to thumbs when I reload the page.
I did submit a ticket to the Help Desk about it because I feel it's a make or break issue.
If they don't fix it then I feel my days as a subscriber are over.
I would agree. 1. If I don't want to deal with deviations, I'd rather not have them there all the time. 2. I really would like my changes to stick.
I get the one stop shopping approach they going for that page. It's just not for me.
I dislike it.
I want V5 back.
I'm sure it's just growing pains and I'll get used to it... pretty much because I -have- to as I see no toggle or way to make it go back to the way it was...But still. BLAH.
