Not identical, one is a boy and one is a girl. Also they aren't biologically my kids and I have no guardianship over them but I love 'em anyway.

I think the proper term is Surrogate Mother.
My son turned six this week, and the one on the way still seems to be doing okay. But at six, he's now developed a twisted logic.
He struggled with listening to adults pretty much the whole two years we've had him, and now he's finally doing things you ask him to, but not really.
"Sit down."
*sits down for approximately 2 milliseconds, gets back up*
"I said sit down."
"I did."
"Not long enough."
"You didn't say anything about how long."
"Sit down and remain seated."
"How long?"
"Until doomsday."
"Mom, when's doomsday?"
OMG, do your kids know my kids? I broke one of them of that habit by taking everything he says literally back. His comment, "That is so annoying."

I nearly dropped the baby today.. i was trying to make dinner and had him against my shoulder.. I reached for a pot and he spazzed out and I caught him.. but it scared the [censored] out of me. I don't think he was hurt, but I've been having a heck of a time getting him down tonight.. he just wants to nurse and nurse. I think I scared the little mite. I feel horrible.
