Now the truth comes out! Ghost Falcon gives out missions on Peregrine Island because they were actually missions given to him, but he's too busy levelling his peacebringer to finish them himself.
So if we haveing mait on Friday, why haveing a 2 hr one today ?

Nope... just like your gfriend list will adjust to global name changes, so shall your global ignore list IIRC.

Not true. It's only scheduled for Mondays and Fridays. Any other day there's maintenance, its for a patch, or for a problem.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Looks like Ill have to use the respecs I have. Thought there werent any coming, so Im glad Ill be able to make a couple needed changes. 
Also, I dont get all the excitment over global name change. First, why would you change it, unless you no longer have/deleted that character, or a situation like above. Second, it seems some people change them more than rarely, but I cant see why. Never changed mine, because I never felt the need to, and would like some reason for changing global handles.

My global is mad hatter man, because of copy write laws my toon named the same thing was changed to Generic hero blah blah blah, he had a name in latin that meant peak of hate for a while till name character name changes came out then was named Hatter, when they nerfed his name i renamed it to Hatter Zero for a while then they had the last global name reset so i changed it back to Mad Hatter Man, but now that his name is just Hatter, i plan on changing it to that if its not taken
I really am not happy about having to burn through 2 earned respecs just to get one. It would be nice if they added rather than lose what you have.

I never have understood the whole freespec/respec thing. Can someone explain to me (like i'm a noob) exactly what happens if I have, let's say, made a respec recipe but haven't used it; what happens to that? Do I lose it or do I have 2 respec's available. Also, same question for respec trials if I claimed the respec.

You're new as hell obviously. There is a difference between the free respecs and the earned respecs. Those are two seperate pools.

OK...here goes...there are 2 types of respecs in the game, earned and free. Earned respecs stack, you get them from the respec trials, vet rewards, respec recipes and from the 1st Patron arc for villains. They are all redeemed the same way, by visiting a contact in Galaxy (heroes) or Nerva (villains).
Free respecs are granted by the devs for various reasons: major power changes or anniversary celebrations are the most common. They do NOT stack, think of the free respec as a toggle on your character...it's either on or off. The grant sets everyone's toggle to on...if yours was on already, then nothing happens. You claim this respec by either typing /respec or visiting the above contacts.

During peak hours, you may experience problems. If the transaction doesn't go through, I would recommend that you try again or make an attempt during non-peak (i.e. morning) hours.
I was just able to complete a transaction at 9:37PM PST (after about 5-6 tries). And I'm not using any special privileged connection to make that transaction.
We're monitoring it, and working to resolve it. I don't have an ETA for a long-term fix, but we've been nudging a couple of cogs in the background. The good news is that other players have been able to complete transactions as well.

I was unable to process a purchase yesterday at 7:30pmish EDT, but was able to get it through on my 1st try this morning just before 9am. Just keep trying.
If the wait/progress bar sits for more than a minute, cancel and try again. Each of the 3 times I've bought slots, the process went through within 30sec or so (to the final confirmation screen), or I just canceled and tried again. My slots were usually applied within 1-2min after that.

My guess is that some people might have assumed that global names were private and could be seen only by those who were on your global friends list. So they might have picked something more personal than they would have otherwise. Now that it's easy for anyone to see anyone else's global they might wish they had picked something else.
Yes, there were ways before, but those might be considered an "exploit" in that it wasn't the intention of the gignore command to be used that way, and a lot of people didn't know about it.
I was contemplating suggesting one be given for exactly this reason, but now I don't have to

Aha! That must be why I get two, You have ignored so and so messages. I hadn't even noticed one of them was a global, thought it was just some silly bug.

Have you tried purchasing slots recently? I purchased a 5 slot pack this morning with no problems.
We made a backend configuration last Friday (5/23) that should have improved your ability to purchase slots, transfer and rename characters.

I can finally get my real global name back!
A while back my then-8yo decided to poke around on Mommy's game while I was in the, er, reading room and discovered a cool place she could type in the name of her favorite doll. Fun for her, irritating for me since customer support wouldn't change it back.
At least it was a sort of pseudo-Japanese sounding name, so it wasn't totally embarrassing. It could have been worse, since the kid soaks up vocabulary like a sponge (I once had to explain to her that no matter how pretty it sounded, Lolita really wasn't a good name for one of her Polly Pockets... and no she couldn't take it to Sunday School with her).
