I agree very much Supergroup re-names would be nice, concidering I inherited a supergroup after the leader left and I do not like the name...
Praise the higher entity found in the sky that's name i do not know!
I have tried to switch my Global for a while!

At least for the moment, free respecs are not stackable (meaning 1 toon can have a maximum of 1 available) and apply only to characters pre-dating the date issued. I only know this answer (other then seeing the response to my own post) because that was what prompted the decision to add respec to veteran rewards and respec recipes. I think that can be qualified by checking into I10 or I11 update descriptions on the CoX sites.

I never have understood the whole freespec/respec thing. Can someone explain to me (like i'm a noob) exactly what happens if I have, let's say, made a respec recipe but haven't used it; what happens to that? Do I lose it or do I have 2 respec's available. Also, same question for respec trials if I claimed the respec.

OK...here goes...there are 2 types of respecs in the game, earned and free. Earned respecs stack, you get them from the respec trials, vet rewards, respec recipes and from the 1st Patron arc for villains. They are all redeemed the same way, by visiting a contact in Galaxy (heroes) or Nerva (villains).
Free respecs are granted by the devs for various reasons: major power changes or anniversary celebrations are the most common. They do NOT stack, think of the free respec as a toggle on your character...it's either on or off. The grant sets everyone's toggle to on...if yours was on already, then nothing happens. You claim this respec by either typing /respec or visiting the above contacts.

Global Name respec did not go live when servers came back up. Has the time table been changed?
I tried both Menu>Chat Handle (X) and the command /changehandle. Also verified with other players that it is not currently working.
I'm unable to rename my global chat handle, anyone else experiencing this problem?

I am also unable to rename my global in the options menu or using the slash command. There something going on?
mmk. I'm not "allowed" to change my global name. =( It's brokeded

still not working for me, will give it some time.
Just FYI... the global chat handle flag reset was a process done once the servers were back up. There may have been a brief time this morning where players could log in but did not yet have the global chat handle flag reset. The command was run at apx. 8 AM Pacific (11 AM Eastern) to grant the reset.
The free respec and tailor tokens are a database script that is run while the servers were offline.

It changes the name on thier list as well.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

In the past, Freespecs have not come bundled with a new Issue. They've been released after the new Issue, with a specific date attached. That allows anyone who currently has a Freespec to use it if they wish, since Freespecs don't stack.
When Issue 12 went live, the Freespec came with it, totally unannounced. To make up for that, they're giving us another Freespec, and this time, it has a specific date attached to it.

Probably to prevent abuse, though any specific examples escape me at the moment... :P
This is only the 2nd time I've seen them do this. The 1st time was shortly after Issue 7 went live, and something in it bork'd Global Chat something fierce, kinda like how something in Issue 12 has bork'd Buff Icon Stacking.
