Part of Sister Flame's Clickey-Clack Posse

Now, now, folks, let us not get into an arcane discussion of SF writers in this thread...

All I can say is that if there is a mission in which Sister Flame is in danger and must be rescued, only about 700,000 heroes would immediately respond.

George Lucas at the top of his game never came up with anything as winning as Clickey Clacks or as wise as letting smiling monsters be in peace. Adults can rarely come up with anything that good, and THAT is why there will be a line stretching several city blocks for the Sister Flame Story Arc on the day Mission Architect opens. Heck yeah I am up for a dance contest!

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

And hooray! Sister Flame has triumphed over her shyness and has agreed to make a cameo in my Issue 14 trailer. Mwahahahaha. (BTW, _Wyll_, she will be in good company - that trailer will also be featuring the four winners of the Mr/Ms Paragon City/Rogue Isles contest.)

Thank God story arcs will be cross-server, Freedom is packed enough as it is. Add the Sister Flame arcs and that sucker is gonna be RED.

I can see it now...

"Level 50 Tank Forming Sister Flame TF-"
"I'm in!"
"Me too!"
"Can I join?"
"DUDEZ! Me too!"
"Still got room?"
"You need a defender, i'll join too!"
"Dam your full...Forming Sister Flame TF"

Good reads man!

I just started playing with my 7 year old son. He made our toons look the same but made them our actual heights. We even measured how tall he was with a tap measure to make sure we got his right. It's a lot of fun to play with you kid and you're right I get some seriously odd quesitons.

I made the mistake of telling him the gangs were all teenagers selling drugs ... now I get the "why are all these teenagers just hanging around?" and "don't they know drugs are bad?" ....

[Minion] Uhm...sir?

[AV] Why are you pestering me? Don't you know that I'll eviscerate you with a white hot paperclip if you anger me?

[Minion] But sir...you have "company".

[AV] So it's a Sister Flame rescue attempt eh? Which heroes? Who do I get to trounce on today?

[Minion] Uh...All of them?

*Pan out as the wall to the Lair Of Evil simply evaporates revealing legions of heroes stretching back to the horizon*

[AV] *BLEEP* ME!

[Heroes] That's kinda what we had in mind.

[AV] Not the face! Not the face! AUUGH!

[Sister Flame] Wow! He went down faster than Hamidon during a Virtue nuke-fest!

[Positot] Okay! Let's go have fun now! More Frostfire!

[Frostfire] But I'm not equipped to handle that many people!

[BabyMage] Sucks to be you don't it?

[Hero 2] ICE SLIDES NAO!

[Frostfire] *Whimper*

Hyperstrike, I happened to have taken a big drink of Mt. Dew just as I was reading your post.

You owe me a new keyboard now as this one is currently soaked with the aforementioned Mt. Dew which came spewing forth after a fit of laughing, choking, and coughing.

My son (6) has watched me play various characters over the years.

His favorite powerset to watch is mind control. I explained Mesmerize as making the enemy fall alseep, and Dominate as giving the bad guy a nasty headache. Now, whenever he sees me use the powers, he yells "Go to sleep!", "Get a headache!", "Attack your friends!"

You should come hang out with my new project character, a lost teddy bear.
He's a teddy bear, in a tweed jacket, with a bowler hat and a monocle.

I was listening to a cd while driving home today, and this song started to play. And all I could think is that this is the perfect song for a Sister Flame mission video. Take a listen (not the video on that page - the song should auto load).

My 6yo son and i have been playing COH for about 6 months now, and he really loves it. A lot of the stuff from sister flame, i can see a lot of similarities.

He loves playing w/ my friends, but I know he can be a bt annoying. (Stop to do emotes mid-battle, etc. etc.)

Maybe we need a parent/child only SG, so we would all understand what's going on, and what to expect from the kids.

That reminds me of the South Park episode that satirized the WoW experience. At first, they boys were enthusiastic about the fantasy environment and sought to immerse themselves in their respective roles (dwarf, fighter, cleric, thief). However, as they became drawn into the mechanics of the game, their gaming activity became mundane in their procedural pursuit of overcoming a person that had been cheating the game system.

I regret missed opportunities to perform fanciful non-combat activities when your team is engaged with a collection of criminals. The pace at times doesn't allow you to be creative, as your focus is on selecting enemies and mashing those power tray buttons.

Sounds like the kid has a healthy attitude that we're all playing a game. Probably the biggest risk might be someone taking offence to his "lackadaisical" ways.

We do this for fun (well I do at least). As long as he's having fun and not disrupting other people's fun it's all good. Some players forget it's a game.

And btw every one of my characters has a Battle Cry and some have emotes to go with them. I also use in-team Macros because I'm a lousy typist. It's a kick...something I do for fun...

When I play Mr. Awesome I have about 15 or so binds/macros. My Taunt shuffles through 13 differant phrases where I give my $targets accidental backhanded compliments like "Not many people can pull off hideous, evil, AND smelly, but you are just AWESOME at it!" and so on.

I also give a /em yes & say "Awesome" at the completion of every mission.

I LOVE when people get into the game and just have fun, if I could play with more kids who emote mid-battle because it makes sense to them, then sign me up for that team!

I think somewhere in this thread a person mentioned playing with a could who stopped at EVERY computer he saw on the map then did /e laptop and said "I'm gonna try and hack it!". That is just an AWESOME attitude and such a fun way to play!
