RUSH the RIKTI!!

Awesome raid everyone! I could only make the second one since the zone was full the first time around. Lots of fun, can't wait for next week!

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again.

I may lead Rush the Rikti, but you, the players make it possible!

On top of that you, the players, are what make Rush the Rikti great because that is what it was tonight. We had two runs that I would personally define as epic.

The raid was awesome, it was great fun! I have three things I wanted to compliment DrakeCrator on that I felt made the raid flow quite well. The first was the 2 minute warning given 20 minutes prior to start time, when the zone was already full. This put everyone on the same page and helped those a little impatient see things were moving along rapidly. Second, I liked that it was announced in the midst of the first raid a second raid would occur. I've found second raids tend not to occur because it's usually still being debated if one will occur and while this happens those that might have otherwise have stayed just exit the zone, which leads to the last comment. The 4 minute intermission instead of a 15 minute one really helped keep people in the zone for the next raid. This was just an awesome choice, period.

Since I don't get on that often....I may attempt to run one of these tonight for old times sake. If I do...have your eyes and ears open on all channels. I can't even think of all the ones I'm on. I know JS, PV, Paragon Watch, Protector Watch, Masters, and a few more. That is if we get enough people for it.....

Awesome Job all! We had a great one Friday night! Glad everyone could come and everyone worked together perferctly! Hopefully it wasn't too much of a headache all to have a old timer type of run.

I haven't RtR in awhile! Maybeee there will be a kultyface there wednesday!

In light of the issues with the rare alpha slot, I wanted to post on here to remind people to be careful if you plan on coming with it slotted today.

(For those that don't know, there is a game crashing bug that seems to affect those who have the level shift active, and have pets that summon pseudo pets. Such as Bots MMs (the seeker drones), or Plant trollers/doms (The carrion creepers), or illusion controllers (Phantasms Decoy), etc)

If you have any builds that revolve around something like the above, or if you just want to be safe, you may want to remove the alpha slot to prevent crashing. Or, do not use the power and you should be fine.

Had fun spamming the local channel yesterday and gaining almost 1400 Vanguard Merits.

Wifey was especially pleased that she could now create that missing component fro her next alpha.

Man...would love to be able to get that done myself. Great thing is...RtR (and the thread) LIVES!

First night for Rush the Rikti in weeks that I did not see getting off the ground due to insufficient participation.


Thanks to everyone who took the time to make the appearance, I know everyone's life does not always permit.

On a positive note, Rikti War Zone had been filling early once more with last week starting nearly a full ten minutes early and two runs.

I'd like to get that momentum back, start early and run long more often!

Unfortunately, the raid tonight was disrupted due to U'kon Gr'ai being "pulled" from his initial spawn point to an unknown location by an unknown individual or group of individuals. The Giant Monster has been "pulled" prematurely by griefers in previous raids, but this is the first known raid where he was pulled to a location away from the raiding teams.

The person or persons responsible for this action should be identified and reported.

It seems someone, likely a small group of conspirators, has managed to pull the GM out place, with the intent of ending the raid early, succeeding at least once, tonight. Would it be possible to have a moderator look in on the situation around 1810-1815 PDT on Wednesdays to see who is doing what? Before the new Freedom plan goes live, I fear we will need more aggressive measure in place to prevent a variety of griefing acctions.

We will be monitoring the GM spawn in the future. This week we're unsure if it was a spawn failure or if a person (or group) pulled him.

Hopefully this was just a random "burp". If not, the person or persons responsible will be reported to the GMs immediately for griefing.

The frequent occurrences of early GM pulling has gotten ridiculous frankly. I totally understand if someone is just being overzealous but the fact that this has happened every single week we do this leads me to believe that this is intentional.

Like others have mentioned, hopefully this is just a one off with the GM going completely missing but if not, please for the love of God, someone stop the griefing. Drake gets absolutely nothing out of doing these runs other than a warm fuzzy feeling at helping fellow players get merits/badges/shards. We don't need something that used to work so well ruined because some individuals can't keep their egos in check and don't have respect for their fellow players.

We have had a couple of week without transgressions by any individuals attempting to pull the GM early and grief the raid group.

I have also been asked to run a special edition of Rush the Rikti on the Thursday night of the upcoming double XP weekend (Aug 11) - I will be happy to do so but this will depend entirely on participation; if there are enough participants we will run the raid. I'd like to keep our 9pm Eastern start time and hope to see everyone there and new faces are more than welcome.

What a success tonight was! Thank you all for coming out to Rush the Rikti on an odd night, you guys are all awesome!

Keep an eye out I might decide to do another Rush the Rikti again this weekend at some point!
