If everyone in the Protector forum hears about it, of course we can. We're rabid like that

... sorry, but I'm not registering for a website (with the inevitable, attendant spammage such would entail), just to vote - otherwise, COH would sweep my votes at MMORPG.com

For MMOSite, note the following:

Each IP is limited to cast 10 votes on each award per day.

That's right, you can vote 10 times for each category from 1 IP each day.

It's not WoW that's the problem on these sites b/c most of the community is as turned off by it as we all are. But beating Eve-online on MMORPG.com? Haw Haw, yeah right. The whole site's basically run by those lamers. They fix it to sweep most categories EVERY year. (Yes, they literally fix it, both in the Voting process, and through voter recruitment)

I personally think that unfairly skews the votes. Each ACCOUNT should be allowed one vote. Period. Just like when Kelly Monaco and John "Crybaby" Hurley were having the dance-off cause he whined that he'd lost, we on her official fan message boards were talking about how many times we had voted, how we'd used our phone 5 times, our cellphones 5 times, etc. Now, how was that at all fair (not that I care, since the dance-off never should have happened in the first place, he should have also got an award for the biggest sore loser in history!)?

Second, I'll be honest here, City of Heroes is my vote in every category, but I did not vote for NCSoft themselves in the company category. I don't want to say why here, don't want to "insult" the company and all that, but I will say that I absolutely LOVE City of Heroes and couldn't care less about the upcoming Marvel game, and I hope that now that NCSoft is in full control, the problems I have with customer service will improve, and NEXT year I can vote for NCSoft!

It only let me vote once, period. Logging on tells me "thank you for your vote", and it's impossible to log a vote without loggin on for me. Dunno how anyone else is voting 10 times or not logged on.

I opened the link, to see what categories "City of" was up for, with the intention of voting.
HOWEVER, I now refuse to act on that plan, after seeing that it was only CoH/CoV and NcSoft listed as nominees.
In my opinion, that's a slap in the face to Cryptic. I think they should be named as well, since they were still involved until recently.
It's yet another black mark in my book, for NcSoft.
It also makes me wonder if the whole "sale" was a sham, in order for them to seperate certain people from the business.
Is it coincidence, that after the "sale", rumors and reports were made, that Marvel Universe was cancelled,, that Cryptic could be shutting down, or that the only comments from Cryptic since mid Nov said the forums and blogs were closed?
I may be wrong, but I think not. Another reason for not voting; I'm still waiting for Nc to fix many long-time bugs that people have complained about for 2 years. And, I'm still waiting for the Cathedral of Pain to be fixed.
Then again, maybe I will vote,,, just not for City of or NcSoft!!

.... Maybe if you have the patience to wait for NC's HIRING SPREE to pay off, you'll see your bug fixes. Fixes I might add were being HINDERED by Cryptic's involvement so far as everyone can tell.

Climb down from the high horsey please.

Everyone from the game came WITH the deal. Statesman (as has been frequently said here before, because people seem not to notice/recall) was *already off* the City project long before this time. Everyone who was on it at the time of the sale CAME WITH the deal.

Kudos for Cryptic's original work. But honestly: they're on something else, they were always on something else, and City Of was rapidly becoming the red-headed-stepchild in that family. Now it's the ONLY child in the family (twins in fact) and the family has much more time to devote to its well being.

THAT is worth noting, and voting for, in my opinion.
