Congrats! Lets see if I can think of a few suggestions other than a few of each main character in different poses and/or outfits.

Treebeard
Gandalf, both the white and grey versions.
The King of the Dead. He's the one Aragorn kept asking 'What say you?'
The Mouth of Sauron. Only seen in the extended dvds.
Galadriel
Theoden. Before and after Sauron's spell was broken.
The Witch King of Angmar. Leader of the Nazgul

Maybe a few action pics?
Eowyn and The Witch King's battle.
Grond breaking the gates of Gondor. That was the flaming wolfheaded battering ram.

Maybe you can ask them for access to official art and photos for research, or at least a site where official movie images may be stored you can look through.

Hmm, a lot of good ideas have already been thrown around, but I'll try to suggest a few:

Galadriel during her "test" to withstand the temptation of The Ring (her normal & 'corrupted' versions)

Hmm... soo many memorable moments and characters, yet I'm drawing blanks. Go figure.

Ah got a note on the cards. There shall be no Saruman cards. Christopher Lee did not sign off on the cards idea so no cards of Saruman :/

I just finished a commission for a LotRO player, myself-- I can tell you that giant spiders eating hobbits are supremely fun to do and it comes highly recommended.

You could probably do a REALLY nice, moodalicious shot of Frodo with a suddenly-glowing Sting halfway out of its sheath. Do some lighting and perspective (angle the shot up towards his face from below?) work to keep your skills sharp AND have fun at the same time.

Mmm. Maybe just grayscale with a nice, vibrant blue for the highlights from the glow. That'd be slick.

On a side note, Sayterra, looking at the blanks you'll be working with, I vote for good ol' pencil with white-pencil highlights. Paper like that is just begging for it.

I noticed scrolling through the cards that I didn't see anything with the White Tree in it. (I probably missed it), I also didn't see the moonlight secret door to Moria or the tomb with the shaft of light, or the great hall. Lots of sketches of faces (naturally). So that might be an idea.

Thanks again guys! Alt, the idea of doing a White Tree card sounds particularly awesome, so I'll add that to my list so I don't forget.

I'm also definitely doing at least a few cards of the scene with Eowyn and the WitchKing... There will definitely be Olephant cards as well, and a few Wargs.

Remember this thread's always open for suggestions on cards, as while I have my own perception of what folks would want, it's nice hearing it from you guys

If you could get away with it, a few wargs playing poker would be the greatest thing on the face of the planet. But you'd probably get in trouble for that, so maybe just as a warm-up sketch. XD
