Ex Libris -- Will Be AFK All Next Week!

So it's true, they do let us sneak away from our desks on occasion. I will be traveling to Utah next week to spend some time with my family as my parents have just returned from Africa where they have been for the last two years, and my younger brother planned his recent marriage on their return, so there is much to celebrate among our clan.

It should be an action packed Henderson reunion, where of course there will be much brick, wheat, sheep, ore, and wood throwing.

It takes a lot to get our family together these days as we are all over the US, and now even one internationally so I am really looking forward to seeing family and friends from my native home. I even have several family members I haven't met yet, so that will be my favorite part.

I am posting this so you will all know that Lighthouse will be covering my post. So if you need to PM me on something please note it will not likely get responded to, until the second week in September.

If you have event fliers please email them to eventsinthecity@ncsoft.com and then PM Lighthouse so he knows to look for them.

Also when there is only one one of us keeping the peace the action hammer swings much faster so with all the neat things in testing right now, lets keep the forums peaceful so Lighthouse can be working on the sekret stuffs we have in store for you.

I am sure that a whole week off will get the better of me, so I may check in during the week and say hello, and of course I will miss you all.

Miss you already,

Ex

If I post everything I want to post, people will resume with calling me a brown noser.

You have a marvelous time, and I hope that your reunion with your parents is rewarding.

That is based on the premise that we ever stopped calling you a brownoser. We just do it in code, or in our private Make Fun of Marcian section of the forums.

On a serious note, Ex Libris, have fun at the reunion. Don't tap your feet in the restroom at the airport in Utah either... (ok I couldn't even stay serious for two sentences, this is getting bad)

Have fun Ex. I was trying to think of something fun you could do in Utah...but it's Utah.

I have some bannisters you can slide down, if you all decide you need to have a good old fashioned slow motion John Woo style gunfight.

I'm going hiking, I have a 13k foot mountain that I have history with and I haven't visited in a long time.

Otherwise my parents have me booked with painting and cleaning for the new place they just got. So no rest for the wicked, literally!

If you have never been to Utah, there are 6 National Parks there, so beauty is inherent, even if the beer is watered down, but that is what Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming are good for, anyway I'm driving so I can pack an ice chest!

Utah is unique that is for sure not the most interesting place I have lived, but certainly one that will get me to return.

Peace,

Ex

Did you just admit to the fact that you're going to drink and drive?

EDIT: I figured I had better point out that I know you're kidding, and I know I'm kidding. To any and all readers: DO NOT SEND EX LIBRIS A PM ASKING IF SHE IS GOING TO GET HAMMERED AND GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF HER FERRARI. SHE ISN'T GOING TO.

Thanks.

Sounds a lot like my family. My dad had nine brothers and sisters (no not apiece, four brothers, five sisters; making them my nine aunts and uncles respectively), and now they're far-flung all along the East Coast.

Every year (right now, actually), my dad throws a big bash at the local Fish and Game Club and old friends and family from all over the country show up.

Of course, our celebrations are usually a lot more base... Roast pig, lots of inebriation, loud oldies music.

Good times.

Look at that. A full-grown woman pulling off pigtails. Her crazy is off the charts.

Ah so you are one of the natives that actually know how to pronounce Tooele, Timpanogos, Wasatch, and Uintah.

Did the folks in CA laugh at your Utah accent? You know where you leave the T's out of the middle of the words?

Have fun spending time with your family!!!

Ex's got a Ferrari?

Wow. I got to get hired by Cryptic. Where do I apply? I'm sure I could be of some good use... maybe I can fix the servers so they don't need daily maintenance.

No, really. I can do that, I bet... ^.^

/Enjoy your vacay, Ex!

Planning a marathon Settlers of Cataan beatdown with your family? SWEET! I have a friend who actually won the right to compete in the Settlers World Championships in Germany

I hope you and your family have a wonderful time, and all the best to the soon to be married couple.

Awwww! There's plenty to do in Salt Lake City! There is a ballet company, opera, symphony, and ya can't forget the choir, plus all sorts of outdoorsy stuff!

AND, Spamalot is in town from the 4th to the 16th!
