I spent most of my time drinking Guinness with bill. Our Beer gnome was quite handy.

Aye... wasn't the same with the Moggie.

Be well, people of CoH.

Okay, the video of the TR interview is up:

The video quality is kinda bad between it being dark an how much I had to compress it, but the audio came out plenty clear.

Yeah, the audio is really good, considering how loud it was in there! Nicely done. Thanks for posting that. I was too busy talking to pay attention while I was there.

Had a good time.

Got some swag.

Represented Pinnacle by getting a large mug of Guinness while waitin in line to get in. Had two more while I was there.

Met Ex and several folks I'd never met before which was groovy.

All in all, a cool time. Can't wait to see the pics, Balorn.

Billz looked most impressive while modelling his TR dogtags as eyeshields as well. If we are lucky, (and Billz doesn't pay up on the probablye blackmail) someone will have pics......

All I have to say is...

WOOO!! CHALLENGE COIN!!

Edit:
Also, not sure if anyone else saw, but we were on a local news channel the next morning. Wifey and I saw it while we were eating our "free," $130 breakfast. They had an interview with CuppaJo (But they called her April something ), and various passes of the crowd. I guess that's what that release form was for.

I'll post my pics soon too.

The Justice Server Group Photo. Can't remember who all was in it.

That is:

Front: Mad_Malkavian
Middle: Neutra, Manoa's boyfriend (He doesn't post and I can't remember his character's name), Manoa, Ashley, Armless Dan
Back Row: Texas Justice, DiscoChild

[/ QUOTE ]

Teh Boyfriend™ is also known as Somber Traveller. It's a shame Super Goober wasn't in the shot with us. And for those that don't recognize Mad Malkavian as being from Justice, he's from Virtue but we let him RP as being from Justice since Rowr wouldn't.

And that's my shoulder in the left side of the frame in the shot of The Defuser and Ex Libris.

I'd like to offer special thanks to MissInformed and Moggie and her family for helping wrangle our Friday night, Saturday Morning, and Saturday Night After get-togethers. And of course, MissInformed for the Sunday brunch arrangement. I'm a bit glad the first place we tried this morning was full, since it gave us a chance to switch to Rudy's and have The Worst BBQ in Texas. And no, I'm not being rude, that is actually their slogan.

I had a great time this weekend, and Justice and Virtue definitely know how to represent and party. Sorry I can't remember names of all the Virtue folks that were joining us on the meals and drinking, but I had fun hanging with you all. I'm not sure what his forum name is, but Jonathan came through for me big time by printing out my registration acknowledgement that I somehow left at home and bringing it to Dave & Buster's for me.

One last special thanks to Moggie's daughter for putting up with us this weekend and not complaining about how much sleep she was losing. Late nights, early mornings, and more late nights had to have tired her out quite a bit, as well as putting up with some of us old folks. At least she and I had something in common in that we are both around Middle School students all day long. Get some rest, you earned it.

Edit: MissInformed is in the shot, she's just hiding behind Manoa. I'd post one of the pics I took of Missy, but she'd hunt me down and do unspeakable things to me if I were to be that stupid.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

oh man we had such a great time! it was really great seeing everybody and finding out everyone was just as cool in real life as they are in the game (even you, TJ ). and i swear, i WILL get a challenge coin!

anyway, definitely a weekend i'll not soon forget. ex was cool as hell (she even signed my prima guide!! you'll soon find it listed on ebay...i'm thinking i'll make a cool million off of this thing)

there's just one more thing i want to say to the whole gang....

WOOOOOOOT! challenge COIN!! challenge COIN!!!!

Did Neutra ever recover from that Lethal Weapon shooter I bought him? He barely said 2 words to me after that.

And at least you stayed in SK range most of the night.

(Yes! Teh Boyfriend™ has finally been outed! )

We arrived back home safe and sound! Somber and I would extend our warmest thanks to everyone for such a wonderful weekend. Everybody that we meet this weekend were so incredibly generous with their time and hospitality and we are so appreciative that you guys were able to take the time to make this weekend something to remember.

Special thanks to Missy and Moggie for all your "cat-herding" to set up the brunches and dinner/drinking excursions and to our several "chauffeurs" for guiding us through the wilds of Austin so we wouldn't get lost (not to mention you enabled us to return rental to the airport with a full tank of gas so we didn't have to pay Hertz $7.99/gallon or fill the tank before returning the car). And also a big thanks to Ex and CuppaJo for taking the time to spend some time with us CO* players outside of the meet 'n greet!

The meet 'n greet this weekend really exemplified that no matter where in the country you might live, CO* players are truly one big crazy family. The Austin meet 'n greet was such a great experience and we're crossing our fingers that Ex is successful in setting up a meet 'n greet in the Bay area sometime in the future. We're not sure if we'll be able to make the next meet 'n greet in Austin...but if we can't, at least we can still keep in touch through the boards and in-game even though we're several states away.

Now y'all don't be strangers now...y'hear?

The Kitten is currently asleep and has been for most of the day. Her comment was "I would have gone to sleep in the truck, but it was too interesting inside."

I'm so glad everyone got home safe and I'm really looking forward to seeing you again sometime. And, should I get the money saved and a babysitter, I will attempt to out-drink Ex. I better start training now...

Ah, there I go again, spelling words correctly.

And like Manoa, I'd like to thank those that offered the rides to all of us so that we could meet in a convenient location and ride together to keep those not as familiar with Austin from having to navigate some of the confusing paths we took.

And at least I found out that it appears to be the Whiskey and Bourbon that are the causes of my problems with drinking. It was nice to get a bit tanked and not have any kidney pain.

I still liked the taste of that Lethal Weapon. Losing the ability to form a word for 10 seconds wasn't so good, but at times I need to be forced to shut up.

Well, though his name has one "L," you're both right about the word. "Traveler" is correct, according to Merriam-Webster, and "traveller" is an accepted variant, like canceled/cancelled.

Somber wanted me to relay a funny story...he was originally going to use "traveller," but he couldn't because of the old cap on the number of characters you could use for names. He did a little research and found "traveler" to be a proper variant. Thus, "Somber Traveler" was born!
