Unofficial I10 Issues : Focused Thread
I played the Invasion Raid on the Mothership a few times prior to thursday's update and it was fun. Possibly a little easy, but a good spawn of Rikti Magus, About 4-6 was capable of wiping the raid out to a man.
And I just tried it again on Friday. There were no less than 11 Rikti Magus on the ship before we even made it to the center. The raid got wiped 4 times in a row. By the Magus Stun/Sleep/Stun combo.
After such a dismal event on the raid, (32 mixed toons died within seconds) I am not looking forward to getting my lower (Lvl 32ish) toons up into the Rikti War Zone. There is no point now.
I don't know why the changes were even instigated.
Also Aren't the Rikti Magus counted as Elite Bosses? If so that is overkill on a scale that I have never before seen, unless the mothership is now supposed to be an impossible task.
Anyway... Very disappointed that this fun thing is now .. not fun

In talking with Castle about this previously, the power is set so you can't delete it so you don't accidentially delete it during the course of the task force and then get to the end where you need it and you don't have it and then you can't complete it. Cause, you know, that would suck
So, either either need to get back into a lady grey task force and complete it to lose the power or wait out the total 1 week time for it to decay off them.
I've already given some feedback on this one to the team.

I had personal experience with this bug, and it's two weeks. You'd have to *lead* another Lady Grey TF, not crash, and be the person to call it in to get rid of the power/aura. By bugging it and following up I was able to get rid of this aura after 3 days of playing with it. Petitions did nothing, and it wasn't until I got to the senior GM level with out of game bug report follow-ups that I was rid of the power/aura.
I'm not sure why this power is set to two weeks instead of say, the 5 hour timer the States TF anti-Aeon power from the thorn tree is set to.
Heck while you're looking at this TF could you examine the absurd crashless unstoppable power the Honoree has that lets him regenerate most of his health while it's active?
Anyway, main point is do something about this bug. It shouldn't matter who calls the TF in. TF complete is TF complete. I don't post often, so take this post as a sign that this is not an acceptable development & take steps to remedy it ASAP. Thanks.

Well it appears that bug will be fixed in the next patch (they will make it a deletable power)

Merit Rewards really hosed me the other night. Was on a team of 8 and all but myself got well over 100 merits...I got 10. NC support is being their usually stick in the mud about trying to correct this. (They should be able to pull logs of mission if necessary to find out what I should have gotten. They have done so for even more esoteric issues in the past.)
Anyone else have similar issue? I know of 3 others but all on different servers (This toon is on Virtue) All three others have reported it..and all three others got the same BS from support.
I'm sorry, I may not understand you post correctly, but reported what? The fact that rewards, such as merits, being awarded at random (meaning some people get more, some get less) is working as intended (correctly in this situation)?
Maybe I'm not understanding you post....sorry.
No I am trying to statte that I should have got the 100 or so everyone else on my team did...and did not. Their own "specialist" says I should get one for every Rik I defeat..as well as one for everyone else on my team defeat...yet I did not.
huh, I did not know that 'every' rikti was supposed to give a merit...hmmm, learn something new everyday I guess.
Sorry for the confusion.
(Forgive me for not reading all 11 pages to see if someone else has said this already)
I've been in full teams for fighting the Rikti in massive crowds in every zone from Mercy Island through Grandville (though St. Martial only 2 times and Grandville once), and I have only experienced this problem in Sharkhead Isle.
After the battle has been going a while, all of a sudden I get a sound loop & am unable to execute any chat functions with the keyboard. I can use the keyboard to move, but as soon as I try to enter the chat line, it does not function. My mouse will work ok, so I'm able to click on targets or set off Radiant Aura and Accelerate Metabolism when they come up again for the rest of the fight.
The loop never ends, though, even after everyone leaves. My hard drive is not running, and I can't exit the game or go out to desktop. At the point I try to go to desktop with ctrl+alt+del to shut it down or quit the game, it locks my computer up entirely (and the hard drive is not running). I left it alone for over a half an hour the first time it did this to see if it would "catch up" to itself, but it never did.
Both times I ended up having to hold the power button in to just turn my computer off. I'd been having a lot more game stability and performance issues before these two episodes than I remember ever having before, but maybe it's part of Virtue's generally unfortunate nature lately. I have no idea if this is the experience of people playing on other servers, but I know everyone on Virtue is having a lot of problem with the server kicking them off and other nice things like ruining TFs via mapserver disconnects, and customer service's response to it being:
"Thank you for contacting the in game support team. We understand that at times a server may become unavailable for various reasons due to maintenance or unexpected service outages. We apologize for the frustration as a result of this incident. However, we are unable to replace any loss in these types of instances. Again, we apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this issue may have caused to you and all players affected."
As big of an issue as Virtue's behavior is for us, this response feels like a blow off because there is no concrete information included about what is being done to make Virtue better. I know I am terrible at finding anything on these forums through the search function, so I hope I've just missed finding the announcement about how it's being taken seriously and is a priority issue that will be resolved soon.
I was running a roleplayers' site for another game until recently and have been getting people to come give CoV a try (or another try), but with performance like this, plus the infamy-seller spam - coming out of the situation we were in with SOE, I don't feel right in getting people to get their hopes up to try a game that's really fun but won't let them stay in it long enough to save a character and finish missions during peak play times.
I love CoV, and I love Virtue - it just needs to be stabilized.
I'd just like to point out that the random toggle dropping while zoning(in or out of a mission, between zones, etc) is still happening.
It was my understanding that the sounds of the various toggle powers were supposed to fade away after activation.
The power Quills in the Scrapper primary Spines is still constantly looping the sound.

That's only valid for the lv54 riktis on the mothership. All others, even the lv54 in the warzone, are on the 10% chances to drop.
But for those on the mothership, yes, it's 100% for everyone in the group. Meaning if in a single raid your team participated in the defeat of 250 riktis, everybody from this team will have earned 250 merits.
Only thing that bug's me about the new Issue is that when there is a random raid on a city section heroes gather together in one big group and lag the heck out of that particular zone and preventing any Rikti drop's from happening outside of that area, this needs to be addressed as I cam quite tired of the lag fests that ensue during a Rikti raid.
I have been noticing SEVERELY increased lag of late, all over the place.
Anytime I'm within a few hundred yards of the Black Market, the game slows to a crawl. Furthermore, interacting with the Market itself is always agonizingly slow, requiring two to three minutes on average to post a single item for auction - sometimes as much as a minute just to load the market window after clicking on the contact. This is ridiculous!
Worse, it frequently takes several attempts to get the market server to acknowledge an entry - whenever I click on the "post" button it just clears the price window and does nothing. It usually takes three or four attempts to get it to "take".
In warburg, as a stalker (at least ninj) if you die in a mission and then respawn to the hospital hide does not recharge. Only after zoneing or reenetering the map will it be fully recharged and able to toggle on. Don't know if it was stated yet but 3/4 of the way through the thread I decided to bump to the last two pages.
dont know if this was said earlier, but it wont hurt to say again.
ive been noticeing droped connections rather frequently that didnt happen in issue 9, also me and my friend (Succubuss Mistress **thats my friend** and me Chaos Wailer both on Virtue) are under the belife this might be due to a memory leak. ive noticed similar issues like the server crashing often when i betaed Auto Assault, and a memory leak was usually to blame, the odd thing is that it seems to happen a few minutes after a Rikti invasion.
example, ill hop in an instances in Port Oakes, and wait out the invasion, but ill get some major lag to the point i stop moveing my skills dont go off, or i lose connection to the map server. the odd thing is this never happens when im out in Port Oakes itself, and even in the middle of a Rikti fight. where im in the middle of it with alo of other people. sure i get lag. but i dont lose connection, and unless im sleeped, i can toggle my powers.
this just seems to happen durning an invasion when im on a instance in the zone being attacked.
