No supercomputer yet. *grin* The spots for the other two telepads are ready and waiting. We should be there in another week or so.
I am none to thrilled about having to have a supercomputer instead of an arcane control main. No more mystic library for us.

How do you mean? Isn't there a magic equivalent to the supercomputer you can use instead?
[/ QUOTE ]
There is a magic equivalent of the Supercomputer (Orbits of Control), but it's MASSIVE, coming in at about 2.1 x 0.9 base squares, vs the 1.2 x 0.6 of the Supercomputer. The real problem, of course, is that you need a 1x4 room to hold the orbits. The 2x2 won't work.

I already ruined my base trying to fix it last night. I am unhappy.
We need to be able to /save and /pause our base building.

Or something similar to changing costumes, but on a bigger scale. Since it would be set to use a prestige balance that you've already built past, this should really be more of a coding thing. I think it's an interesting idea, it would allow for you to setup raid and non-raid layouts and use them as appropriate.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification. It would fit in a 3x2 control room then though, yes? The one that is 750k prestige, I believe?

1x4 works, for 150K - but it's very awkward to fit in TheLadyK's layout
For reference, it's roughly
<font class="small">Code:[/color]<hr /><pre>TTTTT.CC
TTTTT.CC
TTTTT..|
TTTTT.PP
TTTTT.PP
.|.|...|
II-EE.WW
II.EE-WW</pre><hr />
Fitting a 1x4 in that would kill two rooms, which is not particularly pretty, nor is it all that functional.
After seeing so many really nice base layouts here, I went and redesigned my SG base yet again. I think I should name this layout '10 pounds of potato's in a 5 pound sack.' I literally can't get anything else other than decorative in the Infirmary, Workshop, Power Room, or the Control Room.
I'm really pleased with the result. I would like to say thank you to everyone I 'borrowed' ideas from. There are still a few things I'd like to do different, but I haven't figured out how to trick the editor into allowing it yet.

The Portal Annex, with four conveyance circles.
The forge room, as seen from the entrance.
The forge and its related workspace.
Our nullspace chest, where we store potions, sigils and other such useful items.
This Yselim crystal powers Araxylon.
Our augers use these books, as well as the scrying mirror, to locate our next target.
The more dangerous magical books are held in these shelves, which are phase-sealed.
Our members read, study, and sometimes experiment in this space. The axis in the back is a 1:1 thaumatic converter.
The lounge, a good place to relax and have a drink. Morale seems to be something most supergroups forget about.
Our bar is kept well-stocked with many things... some not-so-legal by Paragonian standards, including blood, souls, and bitter tears.
The lounge serves also as a meetingplace, and a briefing room.
Our ressurection circle is located next to the lounge, as well.

How in the world do u stack bookshelfs?
[[Through silliness.
Place two desks back-to-back. Stack another desk on top of them. Place a bookshelf on the desks. Move the desks into another room. The desks will move, leaving the bookshelf floating in mid-air.
This is also how I made the floating items in the Lounge, and placed items on the 'square altars' in the study area and on the wooden cabinets of the bar.]]

I realize these aren't the best of pics but its the only way I know how to get them in order to share them. Unless you all have a better way here is the link to my SG images.

their fine chic
nothing wrong with the way you have them and nice job on the base
The base for my little family supergroup is still very much a work in progress as far as functionality goes, but my hubby got quite enthused about the look and feel. I think he did a great job, so I thought I'd share. We're Icchan's Angles, hence the Earth and Heaven design theme.
First, the entrance: a tranquil pool rests at the base of a stone courtyard. From down in the pool, you can hop along the rocks to head to the pleasant workshop that's open to the sky.
If the unfortunate happens and you rez to base, you're quite literally arriving in heaven, complete with floating clouds. The clouds and bridge will get you back to solid ground. Stopping by the inspiration chest in the oversight center on your way back out is probably a good idea!
Finally, the aurora borealis of the teleporter under the night sky will get you on your way.
Here's how it all fits together in the overview.
Thanks for all the inspiration, tips, and tricks!

All of your base are the sexy! Great job on all of those!
How does one color those flags/tiles with the SG logo on them?! I can't figure it out!
Edit: When I put them in it's just one color (usually primary SG color)
Flag/tile colors seem kinda arbitrary. Our SG colors are black and white, so I think the banners are picking up on that. They don't have any emblem on them because the one we chose way back in Issue 1 turns out to be bugged in the base editor and doesn't display. So if you want an empty banner, just use Ornate 2 (costume creator name for it, in the SG emblem selector it's the 4th row, 9th column).
This the base for the Supergroup MTA on the Freedom server. My first base hope it turns out ok.

I hope these images came out ok this is my first time doing this. Hope it gives you some ideas. I know I got alot of Ideas by looking at Posts here.
Thanks!
Very nice - and you claim it's your first attempt? Bah. I see at least two design ideas I'm planning to steal outright.
Kudos!

Awesome. Glad you liked it. I stole most of my ideas from here too.
Great bases on here. With the prestige bump I will be trying some things out for my one man SG using some of these as inspiration but i know nothing will look as nice. (Wish I could get branch to make one for me does she still do them?
