Jay's Costume Bug Fix Thread

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this or if it's the right place for it, but the strings on the bows now clip through the forearm...as if the bow has been turned slightly. Oddly enough it doesn't do this in the Icon screen, only in game.

Under hats, the detail 1 option (Barbed and Wrapped) is no longer available.

And Jay is so sexy there is no adequate description.

Jay, most sexy dev.

Is it intentional that the Talsorian Claws look like they're attached to the radius bone (real bones now), rather that where I'd have expected them, on the back of the wrist.

IMHO, the current location looks a bit funny, and doesn't seem right considering the animations.

Scrappers are just like chainsaws. Somewhat hard to handle, EXTREMELY dangerous, and by far the most fun when wielded by the slightly insane.

The holiday stocking cap clips badly with the intellectual head in the same way that the laurels did. Laurels were fixed (thank you thank you) and I'm hoping that we can get a fix on the stocking cap before the holiday event is over.
Oh ... and Jay is the UBER SEXY!!

Since the release of Issue 10, the pattern "Fat Stripe 2" appears to have inadvertantly been removed as an option for Monstrous legs ( Monstrous legs with tights, patent leather etc. all had this as an option previously ).

Fat stripe 2 is still available for the "tight" leg type, but no longer for monstrous legs. Monstrous-legged characters created before this time with this pattern, still have the Fat Stripe 2 pattern and it displays fine, but if they visit the tailor, "hairy" is displayed incorrectly as the current leg option and fat stripe 2 is no longer a pattern option in the list ( nor at character creation )

Example character - Hero "Xiao Lang" on Victory

Screenshots:

"Tight" type legs, sleek tights, with fat stripe 2 pattern
This costume was created before Issue 10, screenshot taken after - Still displays, works in tailor and can be chosen for a new character with "tight" type legs. No problem.

"Monstrous" type legs, sleek tights, fat stripe 2 pattern.
This costume was created before Issue 10, screenshot taken after - fat stripe 2 still shows. However, it can no longer be chosen for a new character with "monstrous" type legs.

The same costume as above - "Monstrous" type legs, sleek tights, fat stripe 2 pattern - when using the tailor.
The tights and pattern disappeared when accessing the tailor, displaying "hairy" instead. The fat stripe 2 pattern was no longer available in the list of patterns, when tights were selected at the tailor.

The costumes above were for the same character and the body type was "huge" although I was able to duplicate the problem with other body types when I tried creating new characters to test ( The pattern was available for tight style legs but not for monstrous any longer ). The problem occurs independantly of whether large or small monstrous legs are selected on character creation ( unavailable for both. used to be available for both ).

Hope that helps! In brief - Fat Stripe 2 pattern was removed as an option for monstrous legs with Issue 10. If it could be re-enabled that would be really awesome.

Jay is, of course, extremely sexy!

Oh Jay, who's sexiness cannot be contained, but must be forged into amazing costumes, hear my cry!

There seems to be quite a bit of butt clipping going on with the labcoat / shredded pants combo here. Body scales are set to slim with no alterations otherwise.

2 things not sure if mentioned already:

jester 3 point hat clips with skull/metallic skull heads
heavy neck chain sholder piece clips with trenchcoat

I think someone mentioned it, but...

Left foot boots are twisted. This is VERY apparent with the "Vanguard" boot set. Can't be arsed to do a screenshot right now...

Also, this may be an unrelated problem (probably a coding issue) but one of my characters (female) has "Young Face 11", and whenever I go to the tailor, it automatically resets to "Face 1" and charges me for it. If i set it back to "young face 11", the fee disappears, but "Reset" does not work in this regard, so i have to do it manually.

Oh, and Jay is sexy =)

On the new Jester Hat, when used with the Skull head, it clips through the hat just slightly. This is not a huge deal, but I play in 3rd person and it's a tad annoying.

Here's a pic.

Jay is sexy.

On a side note you can fix that ingame by changing the head sliders slightly I believe. Not a permanent fix but it should make it less irksome for you.

[/ QUOTE ]

I got a chance to try this. It didn't work. I stretched the head every way I could think of, but the clipping just stayed were it was, stretching in proportion to the sliders.

Sexy Jay:

I don't know if this has been mentioned before (I didn't see it in this thread), but I have a toon which I play in SuperGroup mode most of the time, though I have his costume settings all set to "current color" (no supergroup costume colors). But when I change his costume slots, some of the colors are switched. When I go into SG settings, I see two or three pieces switched to supergroup colors, even though I had previously set them all to "current color". I reset all colors to "current", then switch back to my previous costume slot, and some of THOSE colors are set to SG colors... Am I doing something wrong? Is this due to going to the tailor in SG mode or setting SG costume color choices in SG mode? Or is it some kind of bug?

Are you playing in Super Group mode? You may have to adjust the setting as bows are listed under the colorable SG options.

[/ QUOTE ]

Aha! That was it, thanks!

So I guess there may actually still be a bug, in that the SG colors can become temporarily unset during a mission you're running in SG-mode (I'm pretty sure I wasn't fiddling with SG setting at the time it happened), but that's much more minor.

[/ QUOTE ]
SG Mode causes a lot of issues. Say my character wears a black shirt, and my SG colors are Red and Black. Now, I'm not using the SG Colors, but the game thinks I am because The black of my shirt is the same color as the SG color option of black. So when I switch costumes, the Game makes my chest piece black, regardless of it's actual color. Is there any way we could get somebody on that? lol

And upon close inspection of this thread, I have found confirmation of my above point.

So... would it be fair to expect that if my individual costume did not share colors with my SG, I might stop seeing this bug? (Of course I'm going to try this before getting an answer, but would still like to hear from anyone that might have some experience with it).

Was making a female hero and noticed there is no Young Face 12. There is a young face 11, and young face 13. Minor error at best, unless there is supposed to be a 12.

I don't personally know Jay, so I can neither confirm or deny his sexiness.

Sometimes on certain costume parts, when you pick 2 colors (usually a red and green, for example,) the game will show a red dot and a green dot, but the pattern will be all red or all green. I've found this with a couple of color combinations, but it also varies by the parts you're working on.

...Sorry I don't have a specific example handy, but has anyone else come across this while making their toon?

Please play and rate my AE arcs! Just look for @Captain Titan, and you'll find them! Also, whoever made the Penelope Yin splash page needs to be told that spines don't work that way.

yes - bug came in some time in 2006 or 2007, making 3 shades of red and 6 shades of green have this interference problem where when you choose one of each, you get all red.

I posted a screenshot of it in this thread ages ago but it hasn't been fixed yet.

Tucked in pants and boots combo for females also do this. the boots disappear leaving legs that end at the knee.

At work right now, but I will snap a pic when I get home.

This is Ruby's Cape

Ruby's cape is the "Rings" cape. It has a primary and a secondary color, but the secondary color always blends with the primary, making it impossible to match well with costumes.

The colors I have on the screenshot are black/neon red
If I reverse them to neon red/black, then you can't tell that there's any black at all - the blend takes mostly the red, and slightly darkens it.

Please take this blend out, Sexy Jay, it should be the straight secondary color, not the mix.

New wedding sets are incredibly awesome.... and I know you know about the lack of "lacy", but I also noticed that the "Bridal Veil" colors the back side of the veil with the same color as the hair as seen in this screen shot; making the only way to have a fully white veil is to also have white hair.
