Free Art Mk. II

I started this on Virtue, but interest seems to have dropped off, so here we are. I draw stuff in a very unrefined mostly not bad sort of anime style( eris-kai.deviantart.com ). And I suck at practicing. And I suck at drawing things I don't find interesting or have a good idea for.

So my solution is this, I open a window, 24 hours, in which you can post a screenshot or several and a one paragraph description of your character, and after 24 hours, I'll close the window, pick one, and give myself a week to draw it. You can keep submitting even if I don't pick you in a week, and all. If I'm really on top of it, I may occasionally sneak an extra one in.

So there you go, its Tuesday March 27th at noon, you have 24 hours, post away.

Name: Igniitus

Bio: Although he'd never tell you, Igniitus' powers are Pyrokinetic only in reference. Unlike traditional PyKins, which can generate heat and fire at will; Igniitus' powers allow him to control the movement speed of molecules directly around him. By speeding up the molecules surrounding him, he can generate intense heat and light, which protects him from harm. Intense personal training and meditation has allowed him to speed up molecules on the subatomic level at a moments notice, allowing him to respond to the immediate threats he may face. In addition, he can redirect these "heated" particles about him in a series of devastating ways, allowing him to attack nearby enemies without hesitation. Igniitus prefers to leave the nature of his mutation a mystery, and is known for his actions, his courage, and his infamous sense of humor.

She's a heavily sarcastic vampire that just loves making fun of people, hero or villain, always a big fangy grin, a Super Strength/Invoul Tanker, so she can take quite the blow.

I present for your consideration, Kilotonnage the Iron-jawed Troll.

Kilo was a member of the Skyway City Trolls, an Ogre to be exact. After undertaking the "Test of Tolerance", where he consumed as much Superadine as he could and remain awake, he lost his reasoning and challenged Atta on the spot for leadership of the Trolls. Atta defeated him and in a rare merciful mood, tore off Kilo's lower jaw and left him for dead in the streets of Skyway. The PPD found Kilo and brought him to the hospital where he was fitted with a prosthetic jaw while recovering from his beating. Once well he tried returning to the Trolls but was laughed at and cast out. He wandered the streets of Paragon till he accidentally disturbed a mugging. A band of Skulls were robbing a young woman. The Skulls mistaking Kilo for a Hero attacked him. He made short work of the five gang members and then something startling happened. The woman came up and hugged him, praising him for saving her and handed him some influence! She actually thought he fought those Skulls to save her. It felt kind of nice and he felt accepted, something he no longer felt with the Trolls. He changed that day but not his goals. He still wants to gain experience and strength, this time however he wants to do it fighting against the Trolls instead of with them. When the time is right and he is strong enough he plans on going back to get revenge on Atta and the Trolls who cast him out.

From me, we have both Kadmon and Masked Shrike (pictured in the signature).

Kadmon is an ancient Muvian construct (physically, he's almost human, save for having bones made of orichalcum, skin like iron, and glowing eyes) with incredible regenerative powers and exceptional skill with a broadsword (backed up by his super-human golem strength). His being in Paragon City is the result of some incompetent magic use by Circle of Thorns wizards back in 2004, when they tried to summon a demon he had "banished" (read: Punched in the face until it decided it was better off back where it had come from) in 1136 AD, but got him instead. He was unhappy about that for a long time, but eventually got over it and has come to like his new surroundings.

Masked Shrike was a world-famous singer who happens to be a descendant of Mu (like close to 2 billion other humans in the world today, if memory serves ). She attracted the attention of the Circle of Thorns when she was on tour in Paragon City. A certain swordsman with an ax to grind with the Circle (see above) came and stopped them. She returned for another tour about a year afterwards, where the Praetorian Earth version of Kadmon attempted to kidnap her. After one failed attempt, then one successful attempt, she became empowered by Kadmon and, since returning to Paragon City, has taken up the fight against injustice.

Edit! Forgot to mention, they are both Mind Control/Kinetics. Because nothing says drive safe like a speed boost and an increase density ^_^

In-game bio: Twin sisters Alexa and Sara were always rivals, both very different and extremely competitive. Neither would know how a exploration trip through Norway would change their lives.

During a bad storm, the twins stumbled upon an ancient and strange cave, filled with fire and ice. Drawn by the magic of the cave, each girl went down a separate tunnel: Alexa, to the fire, while Sara was drawn to the ice. Each eventually came upon mysterious altars at the ends of the tunnels and began hearing melodious voices. Their souls were awakened... souls of Valkyries, hidden for generations, waiting for the perfect time.

These Valkyries were rivals as well, each feeding off the positive or negative energy of the twins, changing them, giving them powers. The twins battled - Sara's darkness had been so powerful she no longer worried about harming Alexa. Each barely survived to run away. Alexa made her way to Paragon, becoming a hero, unaware of the much darker path her assumed-dead sister chose...

(And I am now further reminded that I need to finish writing up their story... >_&lt

This hero is as mysterious as the Moon, of which he is one of the Five Masters. Not much is known about Crestent and he prefers to keep it that way. Those who have gotten close to him know him for what he is, a faithful husband, a good father and a true friend. He's come from a far away place to lend his aid to the embattled citizens and fellow heroes of Paragon City. He presents his gifts in the form of a calming and healing touch. His ageless face and calm demeanor are the mantle that this majestic hero wears all the time, even in the heat of battle. If aid is needed, Crestent will do all that he can to lend a hand.

Primary costume now has "Metallic" body, organic supersteel armor (Similar to colossus) with glowing gold eyes.

As for a quick word about Lady-Jade. She is a bubble/energy defender. Her personality matches her powers, bubblely and optimistic. Some times too much so her Super Group mates might say.

Lucky you get two this week as unlucky me got to sit at work and watch a script run for three hours. Would have been three, but I forgot my sketchbook on day 2 and even if its free I can do better than backs of dead printouts

I deliberatly made myself draw things that when I had an idea after reading the description and seeing the pic I thought 'argh that'd be hard to draw right...' but I think I did okay.

Background:

Akara Oshi was found in Japan by a secret and ancient Samurai/Ninja Temple called The Red Hand as a baby.

It is not known as to how Akara became, but it is surmised that he may not be from this dimension. The Temple leader, Inishu Hatari, raised the young visitor as a son, teaching him all the secrets that he knew. As Akara grew, it became apparent that he had strange and unusual powers. He has great speed and leaping abilities, and was a natural at the martial arts. He especially excelled with the katana.

In time, Akara grew into manhood/Rabbithood and felt it time to go into the world and discover. When he left the Temple, he realized that the world was a "broken place" and vowed to use his powers for good. He was named the "Samurai Rabbit" by the Paragon media, although he would rather be known as Akara, and has fought for the good in Paragon ever since.
