It's been years since he crashed it the first time, he wrecked it back when it was new too.

Quote:Yeah, i know it's an Americanized version of him, the Techy look still strikes me as odd, they're supposed to be Vikings after all...Though perhaps looking technological, Marvel Asgard still operated entirely on magic. It's just the Jack Kirby designs; they all tend to have that look. Same thing for the eye-patch. Odin often wore an ornate, metallic eye-patch that just sorta stuck to his face.
Comparing it to the original myth is a lesson in futility. After all, Thor's supposed to have red hair and a beard.
and yeah, red hair and beard, he also can't fly using his hammer... he had a chariot pulled by two goats, one which he could eat, and it'd be alive again the next day.
Also, the lightning cam from the wheels of his chariot...
So honestly, the real Thor, is ever as silly
I mean... his idea of a fishing trip, is to fight a sea serpent so long, it encircled all of Midgard and bit it's own tail.
Quote:I always thought Odin's traded his eye for foresight, not wisdom.
He also eventually gets the head of said Mimir, which is what tells him the future. -
I still get a bit annoyed by that comic book character...
Åsgard is highly technological?
what the heck is that in Odin's eye?
he gave his eye to gain wisdom... none of the myths say replaced his friggin eye with a USB memory stick.
Åsgard, according to myths, is a castle, built smack in the middle of Midgard, so humans wouldn't feel alone, though only reachable by Bifrost, the rainbow bridge
Though silly now, that makes kinda sense, you can't find the edge of a rainbow, so kinda like the illusive pot of gold, it's also the entrance to Åsgard, which no human can reach.
But still... technology? i never quite got that, sure... it's a Americanized Thor, like with all religions, they all focus on America for some reason, if Percy Jackson is to be believed, Olympus is in the US too, and all the greek gods have american children in a camp.
But despite my whining, and quizzical look at the tech parts, i'm so going to see this movie.
Though i'm sad that the rumor that Brian Blessed was gonna be Odin, turned out to not be true -
I've got to admit, i have a pet peeve of sorts, which is kinda silly for me to have... being a lover of ellipses.
But i get a bit steamed when people keep on confusing your and you're.
"is this youre car?" some even manage the "is this you're car?"
and the typical "your a idiot!" (not even an idiot... just a idiot)
And what saddens me further, is the fact most of these people have English as their native language.
I'm Norwegian, my English is far from perfect, but even I know when to use Your and when to use You're.
Does this make me pedantic?
i don't generally mind misspellings, as i do them often myself, for some reason my fingers will write the correct word, but have the letters in the incorrect order... self becoming slef.
I obviously know the correct spelling, i just have a tendency of noticing the typos after I've posted it.
But grammar nazis.. do these strike down on purposely misspelled words?
there's the intarwebs, or intarmawebs, kinda like slang in a way?
There's words used in daily conversation, that won't be found in a dictionary, are these "lesser" words?
Will lightning strike us from above, as punishment from the Gods of dictionaries?
Will there be Grammar Nazi raiding parties, kicking in our doors to re-educate us?
will said troops be armed with crossbows patterned with crossword puzzles?
will the bolts in said crossbows have the letter A as a arrow tip? or is a V better suited? maybe a W for double the pain? a U would be too dull.
Will Ken finally get Barbie in the next episode? -
disagreements? on my internets? this is preposterous!
you sillyheads go to bed right now! and no supper either! -
Quote:Ghost Widow used to come to Pocket D on Virtue Server at least, got to RP with her a bit
Also I wish that the Devs on CoH would play and mess with people like I've heard people say Jack used to, make GMs spawn and kill people and such... That's part of a game idea I've had, make the main villain a player of sorts that actually interacts... Imagine a Lord Recluse player that could run around Paragon City and spawn arachnos Soldiers or an archnos GM? That would be epic...
They'd sometimes suddenly show up on big The Cape Radio events, and give people yellow titles, or events in general, they still sometimes do, so even with him gone, it happens.
I think Hamidon spawned in Pocket D once... much death was had -
it's possible to download the program to do it, it's a free program.

Quote:yes, i'm quite aware of that.Um. Standard Norse Mythology. Eyepatch. Odin has one eye. He sacrificed the other one at the Well of Mimir for cosmic wisdom and enlightenment.
What i mean... that does not look like a eye patch, looks more like he's installed a harddrive in his eye socket. -
I have to admit, that kinda left a bitter taste for me, whats with the eye thing on Odin? and technology? bwah?
Then again, i don't read the comics, but as far as norse mythology goes... this seems really weird.
but it'll be a good popcorn flick at least it seems! -
hey, i know those people
well.. some of them...
does maggie even play CoH anymore?
and i spotteded a Heroid!
and is that a Shinsektor? -
berries art! yey!
now, to add my own silly kitty into the mixture... MWAHAHAHAHA!
...if berries do more arts that is
HemilyTiger
Katana/SR Scrapper
Hems has a long backstory really...
i'll let her shortened bio speak for itself
as for personality?...
Silly, very very silly, she's still not really used to how humans behave, and she don't know as much as a human would about things, little everyday things which we use without thinking, baffle the poor kitty, and usually she ends up breaking it instead of finding out how it works
She's fiercly loyal, but she has trouble knowing right from wrong, so she's been in trouble with the law, doing what would be normal to her as a tiger, but not acceptable as a human... but she's learning!.... very slowly.

I kinda forgot about it, and didn't even RSVP, but i managed to jump in the last hour or so, got hems a Firefly costume
"two by two, hands of blue, Hemily is coming for you!"
was a great party, at least the part i got to see of it, and then Detra wearing pants! *gasp* -
I'm Norwegian
i've been on NA servers since about I1, i didn't know there were EU servers at all, and i made a lot of friends on the NA servers anyways. -
Quote:hehe, i bet you're looking forward to changing the color of the powers then, great character concept, i love it

Alex always does great arts, he did one of my character Heather McBrea, and it turned out awesome, and so did yours! whats the story behind the bubble gum?

Quote:it's probably a good temperature, as when i went to the UK, there was a little bit of snow, for the first time in 10 years, atleast for the area i was in (Leamington by Spa) and i've never seen such chaos before, traffic was at a standstill, a one hour drive from Stanstead took about 6 hours, and there were cars in the ditches.Care to define roasting? I always wondered what is considered hot for weather over in the UK.
It was barely at the freezing point, people dressed like they were headed to the north pole, so... i don't think they're too used to actual cold temperatures -
i think it'd be hard to include every country on that list
my country ain't included -
roman numbers are used on cars actually..
Vw Golf MKI, MKII, MKIII, MKIV and so forth...
even on american ones, Lincoln Continental Mark IV for example
my own car kinda confused me at the beginning though... being european and having bought american
Buick Century Estate Wagon...
double the wagon? it's both an Estate, and a Wagon? why not just a stationwagon? -
Quote:like this?Heh. It's so big I can't even see it anymore.
And to answer the question of mine being resized... here's the original from Zenvious:
As you can tell, I had to 'squash' it vertically by a considerable amount.
And yes, I do need to do some transparency masking on it, get the white background to go away.
a bit jagged edges on the thing though...

Quote:actually, the images in his signature look terrible because he's enlarged them further than the original image was, so it's a bit oversized to put it mildly.I think something might be wrong with your forums, it's really not that big.
So any flaw of the forum would be on your end if it's somehow small for you, i'm at 1920x1200 pixels, and it still looks big. -
-
that's too big dude, you'll just make it hard to read threads, and i'm sure a mod will most likely react to it and remove it.

so despite all my former playing around, i just went with simple
