Well, I certainly hope the Devs look at him as the exception not the rule. I have yet to solo any AVs on any of my ATs even with a Shivan(just EBs). And I didn't do any soloing of AVs before ED either. Thanks for the nerfs min/maxers and thanks for always bringing attention to your "accomplishments" to the devs.

This thread only exists because Ultimus obviously is having a lot of fun beating up these AVs. It's not that he's doing it. It's that he's having a blast doing it. I'm wondering what's wrong with that, because there are some real mean, snarky posts that follow his around.
I've duod plenty of AVs. It's nothing like soloing one with temp powers. But even if it was, so what? Soloing one without temp powers and inspirations is apparently impossible. Are we going *yawn* just because he did something that wasn't impossible?
I think we need a "I solo on heroic, here are some screenies" thread for some of these people to hang out.

There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with having fun being 1337 ... That's not the issue.
The issue (or MY issue) is that by constantly bragging about it on the forums brings potential undo attention to it in a way, which history shows ... Is not good for the rest of us mere mortals.
So great ... You can solo an AV, whoopty-frickity-do ... Crow about it all day in you SG chat or on your own site ... But when you bring it here, the end result MIGHT be to screw the game up for everyone else.
And I for one am tired of getting smacked on the nose with a rolled up newspaper, because a handful of outspoken powergaming dweebs have to brag about their ability to have no responsibilities in life other than to play a game ...
The problem isn't that peopple are doing it or can do it. there will always be people that take the time in a game to figure out ways to do things...they simply have a different interest/level of investment in the game than the casual player.
The problem is that the Devs, in the ir infinite"wisdom" constantly rebalance the game around forum posters and hardcore players, so over time the casual players all leave and new hardcore players come. and eventually, you might as well not sign on unless you're one of the hard core.

He admitted to hacking the website as well. He says he only changed stars but who knows what other programs he is running. With Cryptic using player feedback to determine future game changes who knows what else he's hacked to or what other personal or financial data he's trying to get access from through Cryptic's site. If he is still around I will be warning my bank about Cryptic's billing site being possibly compromised. What he is doing is not a joke or even remotely funny.

Ultimus PWNZ ALL !!! Anyone who disagrees just wishes they could PWNZ half as much as him. Soloing AVs with double exp is easy for him cause this game is easy and we need a challenge and if you can't solo an AV then you need to go play Sims Online or something more your speed.
Come on devs crank up the difficulty. We need a challenge not carebears.

The devs aren't that stupid. People should be able to post whatever the hell the want here regarding things they've accomplished legitimately in the game. I personally find it funny and little bit sad that people think they can somehow hide success from the devs to protect their characters from nerfs. And I really dislike the attitude you and the other poster put forward laying the blame for nerfs at the feet of other players. That type of posting is why people fight so much on here. It's not true and it just fans flames. If things are overpowered, they'll get nerfed regardless of people posting about what they did with the powers.
Level 50 is a journey, not a destination.

That's the word. They weren't happy with the sales on Defiance and since the person who basically wrote all of SR, SR2 and Defiance left the company, the assumption has been that we'll never see a conclusion to the story, which sucks.

A pity. I enjoyed Defiance tremendously and think it was perhaps the best one. The way it perfectly connected all four games previously was done superbly.

This thread is nothing more then flaunting. As I said, he would of only got half the experience for soloing an av any other day but this weekend. He got 101,888 exp (roughly 1.5 bubbles of exp he claims). Adjusting his and the AV's one level higher, he would of gotten more experience, but the value of the experience would of been the same (roughly 1.5 bubbles of experience).
868, 000 for killing +3 Lord Recluse AV, plus mission end bonus. 3 FULL BUBS!!! From 47-into-48
I am not kidding, or lieing. We ran three last missions strings of the partons with Lord Recluse at the end.
He was very easy to kill in a three man group for some reason.

Regardless or not, my comment was "IF" they do a nerf someone might cite him as the scapegoat because of this post, not anything more or less.
The problem stems from the fact, that it seems all nerfs come in regards to the builds that consistently solo those situations that aren't meant to be solo'd.
And fighting an AV solo is usually in that realm. So the publicizing of it on here, is usually a red flag saying "Please, this is too easy ... ramp up the difficulty for this build"
Nothing negative, just what appears to be the trend in the nerfs. Not saying that he's a good or bad player ... just saying that commentary such as "I solo'd in this kobyashi maru-like situation" usually herald a round of nerfs.
Now we all know that when nerfs come around, everyone with that build (or who wants that build) will generally find a scapegoat for the reason that specific nerf was chosen.
This thread, if a nerf comes around, will probably be cited as teh reason for the nerf occuring ... and since he started the thread, then he will be the scapegoat that their flames will be directed towards.
I personally don't have a tanker as of yet, tho I might roll one up soon ... just because I can ... might do Stone/NRG or something like that ... just because it looks like it might be fun to play ... =)
