First - nobody panic >.> I'm not goin nowhere! (Mods you can put the banstick down now <;_;> seriously this isn't an "I'm leaving" post... >.&lt

Anyways, I'm putting this here because that's how much I've begun to loathe the rest of the forums. The art forum is a nice safe haven - but it seems like the nice happy place I used to know has somehow vanished and the rest of the forums have de-evolved. Not nearly as horrible as WoW or comparable things... but its gotten ugly and I find myself comming ever closer to just ripping someone a new one rather than being nice, civil, and-or silly.

So I've decided I'm not going to be on any of the rest of these boards except this forum here, and the Events section for the Skulls and Hellions battle this weekend.

I just wanted to mention this "somewhere" so that people won't think I fell off the planet <~.~>m

There are other forums???

:P I came to this conclusion MONTHS ago. I only drop by Virtue but rarely, and never really did hang out anywhere else. So you're in excellent company!

Only other one I ever even post on is the Tank forum and it's usually only in the stone threads. I do this since I have a guide and still give help. Only other time I post in another forum is if I ask for build help. Otherwise, I gave up on the other ones loooooong ago.

Unless I have a question I need answered (Guides!), or am curious about a change on Test, this is the only forum I visit.

I'm here to have fun... I don't want to deal with the bickering and whatnot in the other forums.

while I visit the other forums here I spend about 95% of my time here in the art forum. the others, as mentioned, appear to be in a "de-evolving" stage...~

I enjoy the Virtue Forums but they do break out into civil war every few months , Have been spending a lot more time here lately tho .

Virtue is the only place I go toehr than here... and that place moves way too fast for me.

Yeah I've even been hanging out less in Virtue but I still pop in there once in a while.

A while ago, GillBates popped in to Victory to congraulate the winners of his multi-server costume contest. People were rude to him, and I got a bit steamed. Said some things in Gill's defense.

I haven't been back there since.

anytime their is something tangible on the line in a contest based on oponion some folks will get bent out of shape because they didn't get picked .

A friend ran a similiar contest for art on virtue and left the server over it

Yeah, I learned sometime ago this was the most pleasant, fun and generally courteous forum of all the official CoH forums.

I can think of only two incidents of truly obnoxious behavior since I have been visiting/lurking here. But I might have missed a few.

Still, that's nothing like the flame wars that erupt when power discussions are involved.

It's ok. Some folks only go to one or two areas. Heck, I can only take Suggestions and Player Questions in small doses.

Thanks all, glad to know I'm not alone. I used to really enjoy the General CoH chat and Suggestions (Hell, I'm the one responsible for the Mecha EAT idea for cryin' out loud.) But I've gotten so sick of the idiocy, the anger, and some of the ideas are even starting to bug me (I used to be very good at explaining why a given idea wouldn't work... now I just get mad which I don't like; because I'm not an angry person by nature at all <_ _&gt

Lol, and Hexy its definitely nothing to do with you <,< you, Athyna, Celtic and Taser (among a few others too) were the people I liked reading. But that list seems to be shrinking <x.x> people leaving or not reading the boards; some topics just being downright blagh. People picking fights. Just don't have the time or energy to deal with it >.<;
